yeah that part is incredible, we feel the love story of Neo and Trinity but even more all the weight of the Matrix lore about the fate of humanity. Even as a die hard fan of the matrix I liked the last Movie but like ID4 2 it was too light for a story that is quite dramatic.

4:15 is unbelievably energetic, an orchestral string score combined with electronica beats is electric. The song is a sense of ascension, breaking into a full on rave, with a close leading towards a new day…..

Can't wait to hear the whole soundtrack, especially Marcel Dettmann's remix "My Dream Ended Here". I'm VERY HAPPY that Lana Wachowski kept electronic music selections in the new film. The original trilogy's music was groundbreaking at the time and blew my mind

Really enjoy how the middle 3rd is reminiscent of their time in Zion together in 2nd film. Definitely, a gentle build with intrigue, followed by some intensity and then what feels like a rebirth in this track. Can't wait to experience it in the context of the film. And Kudos to Kilmek and Tyker for creating something that feels new and unique but definitely not out of place with the previous trilogy of films.

I think it's safe to say that for many Matrix fans (me included) the music is such a huge part of the series. The original soundtracks and score helped to shape my tastes in music. That said I was very concerned that Don Davis wasn't returning. This put all those concerns to bed. I can't wait to purchase this score!

I feel a Juno Reactor vibe going in this track. But from 3:40 onwards felt that DAFT PUNK theme music for TRON LEGACY vibe as well. SO awesome.... and truly fits THE MATRIX. Am soooo looking forward in getting jacked up again.

Actually they had a theme since the first movie. It was played throughout the trilogy, most prominently when Trinity brought Neo back to life in the first Matrix, then again in a much more epic version in Reloaded when Neo brought Trinity back to life. Finally, there was a long and lamenting version of it during Trinity's death scene in Revolutions. One of the most basic things about writing a film score, is that you have to present a clear motif for each of the characters to represent who they are and what they stand for. I can understand why the composers would write a theme that simultaneously represents two characters (since both Neo and Trinity are in a similar situation, i.e. they both seem to have forgotten who they are and are going on an adventure to try and remember, a single theme to represent the duo would thus suffice). However, it is important that the theme fully utilizes melodies and motifs to tell the audience who these two characters are, or at least provide hints of what the duo is looking for, and that is something this track lacks. There are no leitmotifs, no ties with the previously established themes, and tells us absolutely nothing about the two characters. I wouldn't mind if this track is being played in a "planning a heist" or a "slow-mo walking" sequence, but a "theme" for Neo and Trinity? That would be doing a great disservice to fans. Once again, I am not hating on a film score for no particular reason or questioning the talents of the composers, I am just suggesting that a better choice could have been made here that would properly captivate the audience. Anyway, that is just my personal opinion. Feel free to disagree but please keep the conversation civil. Cheers! : )

I discovered The Matrix around 08 or 09. I was a youngling when it first released, but after I discovered it, it has remained my favorite film of all time. I do enjoy the sequels as well, but the music through all films is bangin/epic for sure. Neo is my favorite character, but I'm a Keanu-Simp... but who isn't? Lol. I'm so excited for this movie man!
