I'm a fan of the brand overall. More to the Masterpiece line though. I've got 3 of the Masterpiece collection (skeleton, Gravity and Mysterious Seconds). There are some wild price swings on ML watches in the high horology realm, but if you can buy them right, crazy value. The all-in cost for my 3 was just a little over $10K USD. One was brand new, 2 were like new. For the cost of a Rolex, I have 3 unique watches, in-house movements, cool complications. Can't beat them. I would love to see them turn their attention back to creating these "affordable high horology" pieces. It would only serve to elevate the brand. If they instead focus solely on inexpensive pieces, they are playing in a crowded market where they may just not have the brand recognition to stay relevant. Oh... almost forgot... the Aikon Summer series. Would I wear it? Definitely. They are fun watches that would be perfect for exactly what they purport to celebrate. A nice summer day at the beach with a fun color, I'm in!
I have an aikon 42 mm from 3 yrs ago…. gray dial with RG indicies…. with three straps and prefer the light gray rubber strap to the leather and bracelet….. good video and wish ML would bring back their mater collection
It looks too much like the Royal Oak. Nobody wants to be caught with a Royal Oak Homage or a Royal Oak wannabe. It needs to have its own style and differentiation.
