I’m a Magic fan n hope Magic win it all next time. Mavs are a really good team cuz they lost their 1st finals in 2006 but got revenge n won 5 years later! Then go to the finals 13 yrs later under the same owner and Head Coach was a player on the 2011 team!
Hey Matt, just want to comment on the fact that if you’re playing each of the big men 28 minutes for example, that means that there’s 8 minutes a game that both Lively and Gafford would be on the court, which isn’t something the team would be willing to do. So just make sure that your non-shooting centers minutes add up to 48. The same can be done with ball dominant point guards such as if you don’t want Westbrook and Harden to play together.
I have so much fun using the rotation timeline feature when assigning minutes. You get full control on when players sub in and out and who’s on the court at the same time. That way Luka or Kyrie is always on the floor with some mix or role players and sharing minutes with Lively/Gafford.
I traded Kyrie & Derrick Jones JR for Zion & Herb Jones, then I traded THJ, Kleber and a future 1st for CP3 then boom won it all (not realistic obviously) So my rotation was Starters: Luka Herb Jones PJ Zion Lively Bench: CP3 Jaden Hardy Josh Green Daniel Gafford
14:49. Mobley winning Finals MVP with 38/26/50 shooting splits was disgusting!!!! That Game 6 aginst OKC in 2026 was crazy. I knew Chet was gonna hit that three to tie it. The moment it left his hands I was like that's good lmaooo. Fun seeing Jaden Hardy develop into a nice scoring option off the bench. Mavs pretty much needed that upgrade and it was on the roster the whole time which was cool.
@@Variouswigg bro we already have Crazy deph with hardy, green , exum, lively, thj ,maxi, all off the bench... + djj, exum and lawson were all signed at the minimum last year and we could do the same this year by picking up some players in FA at the minimum and betting in them. deph definetly isn't a problem for us we need talent, players like jerami Grant, wiggins , herb Jones would all be Amazing here lets all Hope in Nico Harrison 🤞🏻
@@leonardo_mrll the mav are already paying two super max plus maxi and tim hardaway's terrible contracts leaving them with no money adding another near max contract will hurt them especially after the near tv Deal where teams over the cap are punished even harder
@@Variouswigg bro to trade for wiggins or anyone we would have to trade 2 useless contracts and obviously we gon get thj and maxi out the Door 100%... too old too inconsistent
Maxi and tim have negative trade value in order to get someone you'll need to add a multiple first. Is it really worth selling your future on unreliable players such as Wiggins
Back with the rebuilds, just in time for offseason! Have you thought about getting Cooper Flagg for your Boston rebuild? He's from the area and it would really help out the Cs because 2K hates them lol
Thunder getting older and better, Nuggets are the Nuggets, Wemby is developing and the spurs got plenty of young talent and picks, the Mavericks chances get smaller every year they dont win
Cap. Luka carried an old man Kyrie and a bunch of role players to the Finals. Imagine if you add a great 6th man type of player to the Mavs and let the bench develop more. Luka will definitely be back in the Finals.
I think the team is better in real life rather than in 2k and i really hope they don’t get Clarkson as he would only be a short term guy. It would be more realistic if they got a Mikal or Deandre hunter depending on what the Hawks chose to do
With challenging fouls, I go by the player reaction. If the player starts jumping up and down packing a sad or running to the ref complaining ill challenge and get it overturned more often than not.
The Mavs had a great season but, to take the next step, they should add someone like: Péjå Stojákövic 6'10" Marcus Camby 6'11" Dennis Rodman 6'8" Steve Kerr 6'3" and Ben Wallace 6'9" To replace the dead weight on the team that contributed so very little: Morris Kleber THJ And, the young developmental guards. I totally trust the management of the Mavs to get the necessary pieces [2 more 3 points shooters, 2 more bigs and 3 great defensemen]. They can play 10 deep on everyone except the Celtics. Against them, only 9 can hold up: Luka Kyrie P.J. Brown The 2 centers Dante Green Hardy But, to contend with the elite A-N-D defeat Boston in a 7-game series...they must improve on the backend. Release and replace the other 6 players with big, physical tall, defensive minded players + a 6'11" Péjå Stojákövic type player that rebounds and can hit the trey + an unselfish pair like Rodman and Wallace that will do the dirty work [while guarding multiple positions]...and another 3 point guy that will hit 50% from deep. With that they'll win 60+ games and beat Boston. Luka absolutely must learn to play without the ball in his hands. The "Triangle" offense could be an option. More emphasis must be placed on perimeter defense. Derek Lively needs to shoot the trey more; Dante Exum should be the leader of the 2nd unit, the QB and facilitator. Hardy needs to be our "microwave" [Vinnie Johnson] off the bench. They need 2 big, beefy "enforcers" willing to kick ass if needed to protect Kyrie and Luka when frustrated teams get physical with them. Generally speaking, for elite excellence, they need: 1.) toughness with an edge à la Rodman & Wallace. 2.) 50% excellence from the 3 à la Pèja and Kerr. 3.) Play up tempo, share the ball and rebound ferociously. 4.) Develop a 2nd unit led by Exum with Hardy scoring but with at least 2 great defenders. 5.) Find 2 guys for enforcers that put the fear of God in opposing players who even think about tripping Luka or "accidentally" hitting Kyrie in the face. 6.) Have a come to Jesus meeting with Luka: Get in shape/stay in shape No pouting/fighting refs Work on 3 pt & midrange No more world sports & Lead... To be clear...he wants to be Pistol Pete Maravich [score 40 ppg with 2 assists while teammates watch] but N-E-E-D-s to be Magic Johnson [working the refs, a coach on the floor, calling plays, making sure everybody else gets points and touches the ball...while purposely holding back unless we get down by 15 or down to 5 seconds on the time clock or it's the last 5 minutes of the game.] 7.) Study Magic, Isaiah and Stockton. Strive 2B the '96 Bulls, the '86 Celtics, the '76 Trailblazers or the '72 Knicks with a perfect blend of offense & defense...but the 2004 Pistons were the epitome of what we should try to become with 5 unselfish players led by 2 scorers, a bunch of role players and a savvy coach. Get it? Got it?? Good...
@@ABCDEGrayCat Mav’s need someone other than Luka and Kyrie to score. Monk or Lonnie would fit that role. I don’t think they could clear enough to sign Monk.
@@NYGSZNya not really possible to get Monk. DAL can’t clear cap space, but they definitely could make enough room for at least the taxpayer MLE…possible the full MLE. The first apron is 178.655M, and with Luka/Kyrie/THJr/PJ/Gafford/Green/Kleber/Lively/Powell/Exum/OMax/Hardy + Javale dead $ (12 guys) they’re at 172M and change. You have to fill at least 14 spots at least, so 2 more. They have P58, maybe they move up to the 40s with a future 2nd and get a guy for the rookie min. That’s 1.16M, so 13 players at 173.2M ish. They’d have enough for the TMLE at that point, 5.183M for 1y or 2/10.625M. Idk if he would, but maybe DJJr takes the non bird rights 120% of the minimum, then a 5% raise with a player option. So 2/6.66x million. The only reason he’d do that is bc if he plays one more year with Dallas then opts out, they’ll have early bird rights and can pay him up to around the MLE with 8% raises. Batum and Bobby Portis both did something similar. That is likely preferable vs taking a 1yr 4-6M deal elsewhere, bc it’s not much less and like I said Dallas could pay him after that. If he takes say 1/5M from another team that won’t have cap, he’d be in a similar spot where they could only do 120%. So if DJJr is offered the 1+1 non bird from Dallas and his market elsewhere is only 5-6M for 1y, DAL is a better situation especially bc of what I talked about, and no state tax, + Luka getting him open looks. So they could end up with DJJr back and sign someone for like 2/10.6M. To have the full 12.86M NTMLE, they’d need to dump about 10M in salary. If they dumped THJr’s full contract, they’d have the full NTMLE, and prolly the 4.7M or so BAE. Idk how much they’d need to give up to dump him tho…they only have their own 2031 2nd then 3 other future 2nds from other teams. Would 4 2nds be enough? Maybe, maybe not. Sorry for the long post, bored and I’m in the hospital (I’ll be fine), can’t sleep. I know a decent bit about the CBA and I like to write to pass time. I doubt anyone really reads this but that’s ok.
Mavs absolutely could’ve beat Denver this year you’re tripping. Denver had absolutely no bench and Mavs had a great matchup for Murray & MPJ. Jokic is obviously a mismatch but who guards Luka KCP? Lively & Gaff would do decent on Jokic but let him get his 30 just limit Murray & the Mavs torch Denver on offense. Crazy casual take which I didn’t expect from you
It's always hilarious to me with every rebuild video. They say, "You can get rid of Maxi, Josh green, but they bring you defense or shooting." bruh.... did yall not watch games? Maxi is cooked, he's specifically only good as a PF and he's declining quickly and is an inconsistent shooter. Josh is very inconsistent on both end and always dies when fighting through screens. And Josh is undersized as a wing. So personally, I find it ridiculous when they trade Omax who already shown he can be even better and probably already better than Maxi and Josh and would keep him in any trade as depth.
