Some general things i thought of when choosing a vehicle to buy a talisman on are: your chosen vehicle should be fun to play with for you, for obvious reasons you should also be able to perform well with it, so your money is not wasted the repaircost should be considered greatly. for example i really like the amercian m60a2 but i dont really perform great in it, meaning dying quite a lot. and i begin to feel the 10.3k SL repaircost eating away at my already pretty low SL count. meaning i cant sustain playing this vehicle for a long time. buying a talisman on it right now would be a waste for me. imo it doesnt really make the grind much nicer if i research new stuff quicker but need to go out of my way to farm a lot of SL to even buy the vehicles (and train the crew, dont forget about that part) i dont own a premium vehicle or premium account btw
If you dont own a premium account thats the ONE thing you should buy way before thinking of talismaning a tank, unless you ofcourse got a talisman from a case or something :)
About the Pz4-F2, id also highly recommend the Pz4-G, it's a Pz4-F2 but with better armor, instead of 50mm it has 80mm at the front, which can save you many times while being at the same BR.
Comet? Nonono Challenger? Oh yesyesyes As a Britain 5.3 main I’d say have more experience with the Challenger than any other tank, and I’ve asked the question a fair bit of “which is better?” I’ve looked at almost every possible stat and the ONLY benefits of the Comet is a lower profile and slightly better hull armour with some funny volumetric on the turret. The gun handling vertically is identical, but the horizontal speed on comet is much slower than chally-chally is 23.6 degrees per second plus excellent zero turning-very nice. Mobility-identical, but Challenger has more horsepower to is a lot nicer to drive and accelerates better as it is lighter. Top speed forwards and reverse is identical Wepaonry: Challenger actually has more pen lol 77mm really got shafted with the ballistics changes Survivability: Comet wins in every aspect except running away. Chally has four crew in that huge turret which is one shottable and comet has volumetric funny and better hull armour.
Thanks to the sale I now have the ztz96a, aft09 and pgz04 and f104g (which I'm not gonna use tbh) one of my favourite events since I'm pretty cheap, now only 1 mil SL from 3 mil Also revisit on ztz99? The base models as they are also 10.7 and i think they get a tandem atgm and proxy he or base 96 as its been 3 years since then and it gets really good downtiers now and only vehicle it has trouble penning frontally is t72b
USA: T-92 ... amazing light tank RU: IT-1 ... great grinder, great for tasks (kill X vehicles with SPG), no ammo cost (only default ammo), only russian vehicle with good gun depression UK: Warrior ... very underappreciated vehicle, but great for grinding. amazing in combo with Vickers Mk3 (that one is very good talisman choice too, but only rank5 so once you get to researching rank7 you run into RP penalty) SWE: L-62 ANTI II ... can't recommend this one enough. Cheap talisman, great firepower, insanely low BR & rank3, amazing vehicle for tasks (kills with SPAA), one of the most ridiculous and most fun vehicles in game. Deffinitely get this one! USH-405 is also good choice, one of those sneaky rat vehicles.
For Japan i can recommend the M24 the 76 Sherman the STA3 the TYPE75 SPH the Type 87RCV the TYPE89 (like 3 months ago i bought the my type89 talisman and i had 1000 kills and free ace crew within 4 days )
Does the Talisman give 100% RP in Assault Arcade? Because I noticed All premium vehicles had extra RP rewards compared to non talisman normal vehicles in Assault Arcade.
ZTZ59D1 shared the most miserable experience playing chinese tanks for me, alongside the M41D. I’d have said the Type 62 would have been a no-brainer talisman pre-nerf to the horsepower, haven’t played it since so hard to say (i think it lost like 80 horsepower in total). Type 69 is a great tank, the APFSDS is more than capable enough to deal with most threats when playing smart
I feel the main problem with the 59D1 is the ZTZ88A is just so much better along with vehicles like the AFT09, WMA301/PTL02 being better than it in general purpose.

For Britain, the Stormer is a good top tier grinder. The Starstreaks actually work now, and there's no shortage of air targets around it's BR. The short range rarely if ever comes into play, even with drones, and the missiles speed means you will always hit first, even if they shoot a few seconds before you. I'm currently running it alone in a lineup and have an average of 5 air kills a game, with it being rare I get less than three (making it great for doing the "destroy 5 units" wager). It can also fairly regularly bring out a victory for your team by keeping the skies clear of vehicles that cost a lot of SP and tend to send opponents back to hangar. As it stands I'd argue it's one of, if not the best AA in the game for it's BR, and can cope just fine in a top tier lineup, futureproofing it in the case of a BR increase.
@@phantomhobo7432 It still can at range if you can get one of the darts to hit the right spot, but it's kind of unreliable (the rounds seem to ghost at what I think is the point the booster disconnects) and it lost most of the HE effect of it's booster at close range. There are a decent amount of light vehicles at is BR though that it's great at taking out.
I don't understand why people hate the Stormer so much. Once you get used to how it aims, it's actual rather good. The speed of the missiles is insane. I'll also never forget killing an M1A1 Abrams with it from the side of the turret... somehow.
@@ARDEN440i Because up until a few patches ago the starstreaks where useless. They didn't have enough maneuverability to adjust for anything that wasn't sat still or coming strait at you, and half the time the darts would ghost through the aircraft or do no damage. You where relegated to fighting helicopters that where sat still, and generally needed to land several shots for a kill, which wasn't gong to happen if they bothered to evade after the first one. It's only fairly recently they've become usable, and I guess people gave up on them and didn't get the news they where buffed. Can't blame them, gaijin are on a NERF steak for Britain so it's odd they made these so good.
It is the absolute destroyer of russian cancercopters and I would say it is superior to the ADATS in all ways except for range. It is almost as fast as ADATS missiles whilst not having proxy fuse so they cant spam atgms at you to make you missiles detonate midway and you can lock them without them knowing.
Where will the new premium abrams be at BR wise? I only have the m1 abrams and a10 on my lineup. I stopped on the left side of the tree and right side of the tree at like 6.7 I need another tank for the lineup!
It was probably just a brain fart but @2:14 Justin talks about RP Efficiency/loss. He says that its "One BR above and below", it should be "Rank", not BR. Rank is what affects research, not battle rating :) He says Rank when he talks about the ZSU-57-2 but reverts back to BR again after. Im not done with the video but i just want to explain that so that there aint no misunderstanding for new players.
I've been playing for thousands of hours at regular intervals since 2016. I have only 4 premium vehicles in total and I have not been able to get a premium account even for a single day for years. If you can't do anything that makes gaijin money in the long run, I've lost more than earning a silver lion, and it takes ages to research even a rank 5-6 vehicle. I can fairly say War Thunder is Pay to Win game to the core. Hi from Turkey and agony of a War Thunder enjoyer :) (With the recent currency-based price adjustments, it is helping everybody except Turkish players. It's still very expensive for us to buy anything)
Bruh don't listen to this guy don't pick the 76 jumbo for USA, generally speaking you would emphasize on firepower more than armor in this game cuz armor ain't really worth it and the 76 jumbo in up-tier aint that easy to play if you're not too well versed in the game, T34 or the M26e5 would be a better choice imo, former has decent armor, an excellent gun, AP shots but stills work cuz it's 120mm, and pretty good mobility, latter has solid armor, good gun, decent mobility, almost anyone can do good in these two.
I know this video is old but for the Italians i have 2 recommendations (because I'm an Italian main) P40 for low tier and OF-40 for high tier both amazing vehicles.
i am really good with the t92 and i sort of want to buy a talisman for it but at the same time i don't want to since i might regret it if i want one on a later vehicle. the reason i am hesitating is i am currently getting the m163 but i have the rank 6's unlockable so i am just wondering if i should get a talisman for my t92, get a talisman for a rank 5 idk which one prob the m60 or just wait for a rank 6 also i might buy the Abrams pack so that might make it pointless.
if u like the T92 then i wuld not recommend you to buy a talisman BUT ... buy a premium tank T114 which is pretymuch a T92 on steroids... why?... becouse in order for you to progress through the tree efficiently you also need SL in order to compliment the RP gain not to mention the tank is on sale for 30% discound and you can use those 30% of lions on a tank later in the tree try it out in the test drive and see if it suits you i wuld not recomment the KVT abrams becouse the XM1 is just better and at a lower BR
Just want to note the T-55M is not 30% discount right now. While I love that vehicle, wanted to point that out. Talisman's I've made good use of: leKPz M41 (GER), M4A1 76mm (USA), Avenger (GB, Centurion Mk.3 (GB), M4A4 (SA50) (FRA).
Basically i wait for the sales to slap a talisman on every top tier vehicles that i'm going to use, by checking also the RP modules cost. If the cost is around 15k RPs i don't waste a talisman, since playing with the Premium is enough to spade the tank; a rare exception was the Vickers Mk7 at 10.0 (old BR) with a cost superior to 24k RPs for some modules (since it's an end of the line vehicle at Tier 6). I thought "dang i have wasted the talisman" since the protection let a little down and the first stage rack is very little (and long to refill), but now it's my second best British tank and with a K/D ratio of 3 (and helped me to grind out both Challenger 2 (2F) and the TES). My suggestion is the same as i do, if you plan to use top tier vehicles (or the vehicles you like the most); wait the sales (50% off more than the 30% if you can wait), buy GE whenever you can meanwhile, and write a "to do" list of which talismans you want and buy them out as soon the sales are live (and do the same even for some modifications, i've bought most of the Tier 1 APFSDS across all MBTs i've grinded except for China, since i don't plan to use it at top tier for now).
I stand by the T34-57 is better than the 85. Change my mind. Alsothe avenger in the UK tree would be worth it more over the Comet. Especially with the sabot being bugged the 17PDR APCBC preforms much better and its at a lower BR on a solid fast platform
The 76 jumbo in 6.3 is one of the worst heavy tank, goes against 7.3 tanks, it’s good in good hands true, but the BR it’s in is bigger a issue, the gun barely pens anything heavy or med, not even speaking of 6.7 T44 or nice 7.0 stuff Whether you play Arcade or Real, only time it’s good when it’s down, but even then panthers makes it invalid. The fact when you angle it you can do a corner shot with anything that pens over 100ish
I have grinded very ground tree except china france britain and israel without any premiums just talismans they are amazing you can use them on any vehicle you love playing istead of only the available permiums they cost you like 20% of a permuim vehicle even without the sale
So I have 46 gaijin coins and 4400 golden ealges from previous events and my genius plan was to buy a pack first and then I would be able to get a golden ealges vehicle. But that plan wasn't so genius because sales are in a different order first it's for golden eagles vehicles and then it's packs so now I will have to wait for the next sale to get a golden eagles vehicle
too be honest the jumbo might not be the best vehicle simply because, from my recent expericence, it just gets uptiered lately. maybe that just my luck but it just suffers at the moment as everything i go against has ammo that just negates my armour and yet they also have better armour which i cannot pen unless i have good teammates to help out but good teammates and warthunder dont go together.
@@Gallant_Sabot F8E for US, MIG 21 SMF/MF for GER and RUS are filthy, Mirage IIIE or Jaguar A for the French. Sweden kinda sucks from Tier 6 until you get to the viggens. I cant speak on Israel, China, or Italy since I havent played them out yet. Hopefully this helps :)
@@Northern00 I agree with all of these. For China, outright buying the A5C is your best option. The 10.3 viggen is disgustingly good, but I agree the most that the mig21 SMF and MF at 10.3 with the current decompression are the nastiest planes for their br.
For Sweden if you have the CV90120 definitely slap a talisman on that bad boy, it's undoubtely the best light tank in the game, slprj95 is insane, very good reload, clean af thermals and the commander's sight is absolutely crazy, there's no ground vehicle with better zoom which also makes it the best sniping vehicle.
Same for the centauro 120, and HSTV-L, I guess most rank 7 lights could use a talisman beside arguably the 2S25M(its not bad, but everyone finishes Russian top tier on that)
Me personally I'd talisman the 9040b instead of the c and use it in 9.3 lineup. It does everything the c does except with 50 less pen. At 10.0 you going to be fighting thicker armoured enemies regardless
Don't talisman a single one of the 9040 tanks. They all have artificially nerfed reload speeds that were made even worse recently. There is a 5 second timer before the crew even start to reload.
It’s what premium vehicles have, a talisman and a lower repair cost and higher sl modifier, talisman are 100% rp bonus, so with premium time your getting 200% rewards
I'm thinking about maybe talismaning my T-64B. I feel like I do pretty good in it and I have a 9.7 line up that I love (BMP-2M and Mi-24V). I would love to hear other peoples opinion, also I only have Rank 6 AA and the T-72B to research and everything in Rank 7 as well. My other choice would be the BMP-3 that I can play in Simulator battles and in the 8.7 line up that I like as well, and sometimes I play it in 9.0/9.7.
From my experience I spent the least amount of time at 9.7 and went straight to 10.3 with the t80b, spent so much more time there. So either t80b or the bmp2m, you will use it all the way up to 11.7

Whilst my name isn't Justin, I would recommend the Tu-2s with their 4 500kg bombs. However, I'm aware its an uncomfortably large aircraft. IL-10 perhaps if you want a more tanky plane but.... yeah, you give up heavy armament for a smaller aircraft.
