i tend to listen to doom metal while grinding cavia bounties to remind myself that one day i will be dead and buried and all of this will just have been a passing memory equal to not even a full single dot in the endless connect-the-dots puzzle that is my life (ok but seriously why do they only give raw standing unlike the holdfasts and entrati which give you items to redeem that just makes it way more tedious and seems like a step backward)

13:58 it’s an actual medieval technique called halfswording. the blade is held with both hands so that the wielder may bluntly hit its target with the much heavier guard and pommel. oddly enough you have basically no chance of cutting your own hands by holding a sword from the blade since your grip keeps it steady in your fingers

To my knowledge that is the mordhau Grip whereas Half swording is when you have one hand on the blade (or in general above the handguard) and one hand on the handle, i May be wrong but i do feel quite confident in myself abou this

Also for the part on cutting your hands shadiversity did a video on the mordhau grip (i Think it was shad might be wrong) and by wearing leather gloves the grip was strenghtened alot

13:55 I know this could've been a joke but I just felt like explaining it anyway. What they were doing in that clip is called half-swording. Half swording has their practical implications, for example.. Half swording would be used to penetrate through armor that the edge or the point of the blade wouldn't normally be able to penetrate. The guard for some swords were pointed for this reason.

Sorr to “um akhchually” you but that is the mordhau grip i do believe, i May be wrong which would be funny but i am quite sure im right, the other part about larger swords is correct for both especially half swording which if i am right is a 2 handel technique with one hand on the handle the other above the hand guard, again might be wrong here which would be great comedy
