The plot is incorrect... They don't send 1 person by month, they send all the maze runners at the begining of every day and they have to get back before the night. If they don't get back before the walls close then they are screwed. Just saying :) Oh and not every Gladers are maze runners :)
Yeah! They don't have to read the books of every movie adaptation, but at least they should get their facts right if they are going to present them as information...
Ailyn Ilescas i dont think they even read the book! listen to the plot she totally screwed it! saying only one runners go and they never come back.... like PLEASE READ THE BOOK BEFORE WASTING EVERYONES TIME WITH STUPID VIDEOS !!
1.) Multiple runners go out at the beginning of everyday, not every month, and return shortly before the gates close for the night. 2.) Every one in the Glade is not a runner. The term for the collective group is "Gladers."
The thing I dont like about this movie is that dylan o'briens in it. I like him in teen wolf but a ton of girls that have never read the book are only seeing it because hes in it.
.....runners go into the maze in the day time and look for a way out...and they come back everyday 95% of the time...one person doesn't go in and then doesn't come back -_- READ THE BOOKS PLS
they said "about once a month someone goes into the maze"... THEY DO IT EVERY DAY. THE GREENIES COME ONCE A MONTH... You know what.. just.. just read the books.
TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE MOVIE NOT BEING LIKE THE BOOK!!! #1: In a book, a large portion of the time is spent in description. Something as simplistic as describing a room could take anywhere from a paragraph to a chapter. In a movie, it only takes half a second to "describe" a scene (or person, or thing) because the audience can actually see it. On the one hand, it's a time saver. On the other, a lot of the author's style comes from those descriptions. Even if a movie recreated a scene *exactly* the way the author wrote it, it would still be different because a book is read while a movie is viewed. It would be like if I ate a steak or if I blended it up in a blender and drank it. It's the same thing, but it's really just not. #2: A movie has limited time. Most books, if read cover to cover, are going to take a good chunk of time for the average reader. A movie does not have that luxury. They have 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours to get in, make there point, and get out. Which leads to point #3... #3: Movie producers/writers/directors tend to want as many fast paced moments as possible. If a section of a book doesn't have much going on OR doesn't contribute to the main plot, it has a good chance of getting cut. So many subplots get downsized or taken out when going from book to movie. It isn't because they were boring or stupid, the movie is just working with a different amount of time. #4: The author is (almost always) not involved in the movie process. They do not get to tell the producers what they think is the best/most important parts of the book. The movie makers get to decide this. And everybody who reads a book is going to get enjoyment out of different parts. So not everybody is going to think the same things are as important to the story. And finally, #5: It is highly silly to go into a movie adaptation of a book thinking it will be the same thing. It is an ADAPTATION not a direct translation. You should never, ever go into a movie B.o.B. thinking "hey, this will be exactly like that book I read!" Because it won't. It would be like if I said me describing the Mona Lisa was the same as you seeing it. They are two different art mediums. They don't work the same way. If you can't handle some changes to your favorite books, don't see the movie versions because they will never be the same. Leave your expectations and favorite moments of the book at the door when you do go see such a movie and enjoy the movie for what it is. You will have much more fun that way.
Yall I think what they meant by saying "one person goes into the maze every month and they don't come out" is that one new person goes into the glade every month and unless they figure out a way to escape the glade they are stuck there.
Having Dylan as the lead is enough to have me lining up for the premiere! i haven't even watched the trailer yet and i already know this movie is gonna b promising!
I stopped at the first 'fact'. Read the book, seriously. Or at least use Wikipedia. At least you'd actually find out something about the book. Seriously wtf. Stop feeding people wring facts. Runners go in there every friggin day to try to figure out the maze. A new person is sent to the Glade once a month. Also, the Runners that go in usually do come out. They have to draw the friggin maps after they get back. The time where no one survives the maze is at NIGHT. They explore the maze then are back before it gets dark, before the walls close, so they don't get trapped in the damn maze. No one survived in the maze at night until Thomas came along. What does this video show? It shows that these people have definitely not read the books.
Don't ever fucking compare the Maze Runner to any other book okay, and stop it with these wannabe 20 ,50 year olds ,and by the way there weren't 50 or 60 there where 42 gladers including Theresa , you are welcome
OMG the runners go into the maze EVERYDAY!!! It's their job like how some people work in the fields. Or with frypan (the cook). Just correcting you there.
So you guys think Teresa showing up and knowing Thomas is the film/book major twist? That's just sad. And what a nice plot line there, just a tad different than the books I read, seriously that's just ace - note the bloody sarcasm -
I believe the 'greenbeans' and supplies come up once a month. The runners do not go out once a month, they go into the maze everyday. You might want to double check where you are getting you're information from.
I honestly really like the fim and the book, but how are they going to do the second movie as they left out the fact Thomas and Teresa can telapathicly talk? Since it is pretty big in the second book.
Max Zhu Tally? Did you mean Gally, by any chance? If you did then the last time we see him, after he's been stabbed, he's actually still breathing, implying that he could very well survive.
Wait, what the fuck is that at 1:12?!?!?! If these bitches are watching this movie for Dylan (and let's not lie here, they probably are.) THEN WHERE ARE DYLAN, KAYA, AND THOMAS?! Those people are NOT Thomas, Teresa and Newt at all! Not only that, but he does have a bit of his memory beyond his name... "They need a girl around there, that place was dirty. They need a shower." Oh excuse us, we're just FIGHTING FOR OUR LIVES IN HERE, let us stop and worry about our fucking hair and body odor. "Will there be romance? There's a woman now." Yes, because in a group of what probably was all together at LEAST a hundred boys (including the ones that died) there's never been a single one that was homosexual. What are the odds of that? "Coming from Twilight a couple years ago, we're dependent on epic love stories.. or not." Lol, one Twilight wasn't an epic love story. Two, most people like something that has a strong, gripping plot and characters with depth. They did tell the cast there were snakes on set. In fact, there was a big sign that said 'Beware of snakes' along with a picture of a cartoon snake. Additionally, they had a snake expert guy that would go into places before they shot the scenes and check the places that they would be hiding, get them with a stick and put them into a bucket. "We're excited to see him because he looks good.. His acting looks good." I sense a bad cover up for wanting to go see a 'hot actor.' Dylan said that he came off of Teen Wolf or something when he made his audition tape, and Wes could only see him as Stiles in that. Then he saw Dylan in the Internship with short hair and was like I WANT THAT GUY! and only realized later it was the same guy from the third audition tape he watched. "Those Grievers are scary. Keep them out of my life." Lol no, I'd probably set one on you for making a video that got 217k views when you have no idea what you're talking about...
Fun fact: The maze runner was written and published before the hunger games and divergent. So whoever said the maze runner is like the hunger games, well its the over way around
That's not true. The Hunger Games was published in September of 2008 and The Maze Runner was published in October of 2009. But Divergent was published long after both.
If the hunger games came out in september 2008 and the maze runner in october 2009 the chances arent very high that james dashner read the hunger games and then felt inspired to write the maze runner
This series gave me the feels man... THE FEELS!!!! I don't spoiler stuff cuz I'm not a jerk but can't wait for the scene with Ben! Also Teresa and Thomas need that telepathic connection it's really important in the book.
I don't understand why a detail like the maze runners slipped these peoples understanding. The book/movie is called The Maze Runner... if you're going to make a video talking about something to inform people about it do your research. It even says in the trailer that every morning the runners go out into the maze lol. It's not a huge deal but it just looks stupid on you guys to not even know what you're talking about.
"Once a month one of the boys goes into the maze to try to figure it out, but no one ever comes back" Hold on I need a second to stop laughing. Ok I think i'm good. 1. a GROUP of boys go into the maze. These are called the 'Runners'. 2. They go in 'every day' for most of the day. 3. The Runners come back at dusk. They DO come back. 4. No one who stays in the Maze at 'night' comes back. Only at night. No even going to watch the rest of this video k bye.
The movie is soo much better without the romance if you ask me because you can focus more on the conflict and the action and drama, rather than another love story, not to say that I don't love romantic movies but the maze runner is awesome because of all the suspension and action, it's just better that way.
Did you guys just fuck up the brilliant plot of James Dashner by thinking you know the book but you don't? So I can smell the girls being like "OMG DYLAN OBRIEN IS SO HOT LETS GO SEE THE MOVIE AND DROOL 1!!!1!!1!1!!1!!" (even tho im not blaming you, he's really talented and hilarious)
I'm sorry, but when you were describing it at the beginning...u said so many things that were wrong...I mean, you shouldn't even have to do a description... people (and you) need to read the books!
I'm SO excited for this movie, especially because of Dylan, he's one of my favorite actors right now, so talented and SO nice and funny irl! And also, I love sci-fi ^_^
WARNING: These presenters have no idea what they're talking about and will not only give you inaccurate information, but spoil it! (I should know. Unlike them, I read the book)
Omg this video is so pathetically wrong that it's not even funny! And I'm only 1:49 minutes in to the videos! There were only ever 41 gladers and the gladers get sent into the glade through the box, and a different person comes every month to the glade. Then there are the runners, being a runner is one of the many jobs at the glade and it's the job for only the fastest most skilled runners and thinkers and lots of the runners go into the maze at a time in the morning when the walls open but they have to come back before nightfall or the doors close and they get stuck in the maze with the grivers. No one had every survived a night in the maze until Thomas and Minho did, and technically Alby.
I guessed around 36 to 40 gladers because they were stuck there for 3 years and there was one glader every month, so thank you for the precise number :)
Assassin Number 9 there was also a small group of boys come out of the box at the start about 5-10 so alby did not have to wait a whole month. A minor but anoying thing is the group is W.I.C.K.E.D for World In Catastrophe Killzone Experiment Department not W.C.K.D
SPOILER ALERT: I am currently reading the third book in the Maze Runner series... In the movie it shows that Gally dies, so I'm not sure how they are going to pull this off. Maybe... Gally didn't die? In the book they state that Gally just passed out and he had a broken jaw. So... In the Death Cure (the third book) Gally comes back... He is like my second favorite character sooo :)
they said that once a month someone goes into the maze to find a way out but no one every comes back?? they go into the maze every day and they basically only don't come bsck if they get stuck in the maze all night or if they get stung by a griever
