I was reluctant to watch Maze Runner at first, but when I did was pleasantly surprised and ended up really enjoying the whole trilogy with its awesome and increasingly epic action. Sure, the whole reason for the existence of the maze didn't make any sense whatsoever, but luckily the maze was left behind at the end of the first movie.
When I first read the books(before the movies came out) I loved them. (I reread them 2 years ago and still liked them, but not nearly as much). I quite liked the first movie and the second one was fine as a movie, but as an adaption it was really bad. Most of the best moments were cut from the second movie. Probably, because seeing those things on screen would make the movie R-rated ^^ Stuff like people some of the kids being beheaded or the Cranks(who behaved way too much like zombies in the movies) being just incredibly creepy(there is one that doesn't have a nose and hunts them in the tunnels while screaming for their nose)
This one one for sure that was not changed a lot from the books. i loved the books and like the movies, but if you havent read the books, i feel like you would be so lost
The Maze Runner trilogy is one of my guilty pleasures. it's just something I can watch over and over again, and still find enjoyable. despite their flaws, I still really love these movies, it's one of my favorite movie trilogies.
Probably the only saving grace is the fact that it's actually set in a post-apocalyptic society rather than a dystopian one, with the flare zombies bringing in some horror movie elements. That makes it a bit more interesting than just "young vs old" that YA novels tend to rely on.
Maze Runner is a guilty pleasure series I really enjoyed watching with a group of friends. Similarly to you, my favourite was the first movie. The mystery worked pretty well, and the actual maze running sequences were great. The first tracking shot of Thomas running as the walls nearly crush him on the sides REALLY tensed me up.
The Maze Runner pitch meeting really does showcase Ryan’s writing genius as quite a bit above many of his peers. Reading the whole list of the things they named and then using the list later by saying “wouldn’t it be better to tell the protagonist about all the things they *named*” rather than saying “all the things they know”. Then introducing ‘the continuing’ and re-using it a second time at the end 😂 Absolute gold
I don't really care how many cards a wallet can hold or that it has a tracker. It's always on the shelf or in the back pocket of the pants I wore the day before, and who needs 15 card slots!? Come on. And they're pretty expensive, considering. I care about the sleeker aspect. Not feeling like there is a Gameboy Color in your back pocket. It doesn't hide the ass or the cheek, so ladies can take a peek. Ridge Wallet, DAMN THAT'S SLEEK!!! Or that wallet, what you did, promoted.
The maze runner was sooo dang dumb. I like the naze, just not the explanation. If they are immune, and extracting the white blood cells doesn't work for whatever reason, then instead of killing them in a maze they should have instead just started a breading program.... easy fix and fun for all.
Barring the movie mistake of saying the vines don't reach the top while you can see that they do, even if they did climb to the top how would they get out? First there is no solid connection from the clearing to the outside edge since parts of the maze, especially the outer rings, shift around.
I really liked the Maze Runner trilogy. Hunger games was good but I detested the last two because of the Split, like twilight. I wish Divergent would not have done the same and just made one last movie.
Can you please continue reacting to dbza please? There is alot of youtubers who react to it and they didn't get a copyright i think there is something they do to prevent it, i really like your reactions to it the most, i saw alot of reactions but i didn't enjoy anyone of them like i enjoyed your reaction so i hope that u really continue and thanks🙏🤍 i support you brother
ender's game is SO not a YA anything. i think they marketed the movie that way because the main character is a kid, but that's not what the book is about at all
The Maze Runner first movie's premise is interesting but the reason/reveal and the second, third films are just a fillers floating on the title of first movie.
