The Tough Country Jeep had a bad day, to their credit they were out there taking on a trail rated 8/10. About the limit of a jeep, next step up in rating is for a buggy

Tuff Country always send it on the trails. They dont back away from anything. I think they have broken something the last four years on one of there vehicles, for a sand hollow event.

@@4wheeling I admire them for getting out there and going on some hard trails. U joint breaks on a drive shaft.... it happens if you are out on the trails enough

10 years ago I saw samurai all over out here, this last trip I didn’t see any, they do really well, so light/ agile

The spare tire/wheel combo is large and heavy. It takes room or obstructs views. These rocks don’t typically lacerate the sidewall, a pinch could do it. I have been able to stack plugs on top of each other and repair enough to get out the once it happened to me. Otherwise I have a spare in my truck, we would drive back and pick up the spare, then put it on. I have just plugged other holes. In short, side wall lacerations are very rare, flats are rare and can usually be plugged, if not we will go pick up the spare.

A good amount of people trailer their rig and probably have a spare on the tow vehicle.

This is it, we can run back and pick it up if needed, a large sidewall laceration is about all that would even require that.

A gladiator can totally do this trail, it may scrape the rear hitch and use the rock sliders a bit
