Honestly one of the reasons why I like Kafka Hibino is that he has a realistic personality for his age, I am 22 and just like how Denji from CSM who's personality and behaviour reminds me of myself when I was 16 to17, I can see my self being like Kafka in 8-10 years if not sooner.
No they need to explain how His friend was able to make but he couldn't He is not that out of shake. I am in my mid forty and overweight and I am in better shame than he is. I was able to pass a physical fitness test with pneumonia this was recently. If he was going to fail then it should have been academically not physically when he was younger.
People have to admit that they don't like realistic mcs People dislikes deku, people dislikes mikumo from world trigger and now they hate this guy too lol.
Kafka is my 2nd favourite mc after Naruto just because he has some similarities with me even though I am just 17 and this guy is special for me. I can see my future self in him because I am never going to blame my past self for not being good enough in anything and that is what he's doing he's focusing on his present that's what I like the most about him
I'm really loving kaiju no 8 i like how Kafka is keeping is kaiju powers secret as I'm always sucker for keeping your powers a secret but it also makes sense as imagine this was you and if people knew that you had kaiju power they would kill you without question or ues as weapon like eran
The first time I was called "old" I was 27 in grad school. The one who called me old was an undergrad. Around that time I went to a concert where the singer/songwriter did this little rant about 28 year old guys going to the clubs near campus, saying, "You're not cool anymore!" (I wasn't one of those, mind you.) Now I'm literally twice that age. Let me say that there really is a lot of ageism in society. Especially in my line of work as a programmer. (I love telling colleagues I've been coding for longer than they've been alive. I guess that doesn't help.)
I'm actually really enjoying it.idgaf about other people's opinions.at first,I thought that it was going to be bad,but after the first episode;I was hooked
i actually really like a Kafka heck im kinda in a somewhat similiar possition as him with the needing to get a actual job but the job i was aiming for it doesn't have a opening ^^'
I feel like not using the power he has and relying on his own strength is something that is very much something an anime protagonist would do. So I think the criticisms are odd. Also, MCs are supposed to struggle with stuff be it physically, morally, or emotionally. They also should have some sort of value system. It sounds like episode 3 showcases the MCs value system and has him struggling physically because of it. That’s a good thing.
Man, can't believe kids are complaining about the fact that the MC is too old and not showing off his powers from the get go. Let the story develop man 😑
@@SalvadorBodoque you could be right depending on how the story progresses, but as I see it now, Kafka being a manchild is much better to see than a middle schooler having olympic strength and everyone gawking over them
I don’t like the MC like seriously bro is to old plus he snitch himself out with his goofy attitude. Like cmon idk why he transform infront of girl like this is the goofiest mc ever. Never in my life has ever seen an MC who Rat themselves out before
A lot of superheroes with powers could've used it for personal gain, like Spider-Man becoming a pro wrestler or something, but chooses not too cause that's an abuse of their power and really not who they are. As strange as it sounds Kaiju No.8 should be approached like you're watching a western superhero show and not another Shonen anime.
This feels like a seinen take on a shonen formula. The main character being in their 30's over teens or 20's is a nice take on how the formula works, and it looks like it is on track to do a lot of analysis and deconstruction of the genre.
As an adult myself, I really like Kaffka, he's realistic and he's seasoned enough to keep his cool and stick to his convictions which takes maturity. Sure he's not the best physically but if that's all it takes to join a group like that your kidding yourself. Also if he did transform he would instantly be blasted, they don't know him if he just turned into a monster they would panic. I enjoy a series that puts the adult in the driver seat as the MC, it lets you tell different kinds of stories, I've read the manga so I know what's coming but something that has come to mind with this series, Kaffka is very much like a mentor figure, it may not be his intent but in his own way his positivity and genuinely good nature helps shape the younger people around him. In other stories we would fallow the prodigy characters and he would be a mentor. This story flips that around, he's a mentor without realizing it and when things do go down, he's right there to help because of his genuinely good nature and ultimately save his teammates when they are in over their heads.
This show resonates with me because as much as I have always loved anime and it’s young heroes, but I’m at a stage in my life where I find some just out right annoying because it is catering to the teen to twenty somethings. Us older folk who have aged out of childhood, have got some experience in life and would like to see anime that reflect this transition into later stages of adulthood.
Dude, I love Solo Leveling. Character development is about non-existent, but it's still fun to watch/read. But then I'm an adult, and I happen to enjoy this one, too.
Solo leveling is just fun to see and fun to watch and this anime just feels the same also this anime is kind of an power fantasy sience the manga is just one punch man with jjk and mha aspects
Can u please make some type-moon content it’s the strongest franchise in anime with their base abilities giving them immeasurable speed. & my power scaling subscriptions r all the proof we need, my other subs prove it also has the best written characters in anime especially in the girl department.(which I made a playlist for) Like generic anime channel’s shirou vid, it’s billion$ budget & ufotable even come together to give us peak animation of any year they drop or period.
As a younger Gen Z, I freaking love this anime! Mostly bc it actually has good pacing (bad pacing is what causes me to lose interest in most other animes I watch.)
here's the thing if like Kafka Hibino character now well you better like him 20/30 episodes down the line because he doesn't change, yeah its cool that he is 32 i fuck with that, hell I'm 30 right now but his character is shit to be honest, as someone that has read the manga that was the main thing that gets annoying is that he stays the same the whole time.
everyone is mad cause the anime is setting up plot?? like no mc isnt gonna go on an adventure busting down kaiju in the first 3 episodes especially cause hes not even in the defense force yet 🤦🏻♀️ BRO THERES 4 EPISODES OUT they acting like its been 4 seasons be fr 😂
Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen is nearing 30 (born in 1989 and is 28-29 in the story) and I've seen characters over 30 that looked younger , and even in real life age doesn't matter really, but I do wish they gave the MC of Kaiju No.8 a better design for his human form
I'll be 54 in a week or so. I wasn't particularly interested until I saw a few reactors mention it. After watching the first episode, I went looking for the manga, had to know what happened next. Go watch.
The Solo Leveling profile picture killed me on one of those comments. I'm 100% sure these people self insert into the main character and they want the MC to always be amazing because it's "them" being amazing.
I remember seeing a couple of those comments on crunchyroll, and i was just astonished that there were so many. I didn't find it annoying at all, i genuinely found it funny how Kafka was struggling 😭
Pretty sure these fans are only whining because the fact the protagonist is 30 makes him close to most of their actual ages so seeing him stuck in life and trying to pay the bills reminds them that they’re wasting time watching Japanese cartoons instead of getting a job and watching Japanese cartoons.
I have a problem because I find it hard to believe that he failed this physical fitness exam in his twenties when he was a normal human. BUt his childhood friend passed with flying colors and became the best. I could understand if the reason he failed was because of Academic test but Physical test GTFOH.
In my opinion The story pace is so fast ….. like How the f mc can control his transformation ? How mc know what his power is ? What happen to monster in his body ? Why that monster chose him ? No explanation they just skip it
FMA no but Jjk and Demon slayer are good in their first few arcs and then just become fights with no story like swordsmith village or the current chapters of jjk. If Kaiju No. 8 doesn't fall off until its middle segment than its def better than demon slayer and FMA.
