McDonald’s has a deal with Coca Cola to make an exclusive formula for their restaurants that is more complimentary to the food. That’s why it “tastes better”.
There is a really nice Holiday Inn Express right beyond the McD’s. We stayed there and then popped in for breakfast with Ronald before the quick walk to Disneyland! 💯
We have to drive 8 to 10 hours to get to Disneyland so we usually come for a week at a time and always stay at Park Vue Inn! It's just a few steps south of the crosswalk right into the Harbor entrance. So convenient after a long day walking in the park! Plus IHop, Cold Stone and a swimming pool right out our door, not to mention a great complimentary hot buffet style breakfast each morning. We really love Park Vue Inn. :)
Hi Adam! I wanted to let you know that you are correct in noticing that McDonald’s Coke tastes better than anywhere else. I used to work for Coke and we learned the secrets! McDonald’s has it’s own water lines provided by Coke that are specially treated, cleaned, & filtered!
McDonald's is the largest seller of Coke. Just like with toys. You are 100% correct, but both Coke and Pepsi maintain the syrup to fountain lines for just about everyone that they sell syrup for, that uses a fountain for public consumption. The ice machine, the carbonation equipment, and the actual dispenser is what the restaurant maintains. The big difference is that McDonald's Coke syrup is supplied in metal cannisters rather than the plastic bags every other Restaurant Coke fountain uses. Their syrup is stored in a heavy clear plastic bag within a carboard box, with perforation for the spout to pop out when ready for the tap to attach to.
The reason the coke taste better is because it is in tanks not bags...also the way they calibrate it too I've changed enough of those tanks and calibrated them to... Lol .and the straws are wider to allow more soda in your mouth ...that's the one secret nobody ever thinks about those big straws...lol. Had a fun day today Adam ...
3 reasons. 1 - They store the syrup in metal canister. 2- They use bigger straws. 3 - Those metal canisters dispense the syrup at cold temperatures instead of room temp like when in the plastic bags. *bonus tip they use special filtration and purifying systems for water.
Thanks for taking a moment to stop and chat with me yesterday out on Harbor, highlight of my shift for sure! Also I heard that McDonald's in particular starts their employees off at 16 bucks an hour, if true that's cool!
Okay, sorry...cant help myself. This McDonald doesnt have indoor eating but at the same time allows people to use a touch order screen. Seriously?? The touch screen can definitely spread germs more than sitting next to someone. 🤣🤣🤣
Exactly. Touch screen doesn’t collect an hourly wage. Another example of companies using the pandemic as an excuse to cut corners. I do love McyD’s anyway though.
Same here, our last trip was back in 2014 from Australia. I miss it so much but when watching Adams videos I can picture us standing here and there in the park when he walks around and it brings back so many memories. Cant wait until we can go again, although we are back in lockdown again..things arent looking good here.
I've read why the coke at the McDonalds taste better because the fast food chain gets its coke syrup in stainless steel tanks, the material keeps its soda fresher and you can taste the difference
I just brought up your order for McDonald’s on the app for the McDonald’s closest to me and that order is only $6.84 here in Westlake, Ohio instead of $11 there for the McChicken, McDouble, small fries and a Large Coke.
I went to that MacDonalds a few times when I was in Anaheim in October 2019. I stayed in the Fairfield hotel which is the one that sits directly behind McDonalds so was handy for a cheap breakfast or taking back food after being to the park all day, also got a good view of the fireworks from the balcony at the hotel
I remember stopping there once and a while after my family's Disneyland trips. We usually went to Carl's, but there were times we craved McDonald's. Good times :)
You're absolutely correct about McDonald's soda! It's the only place I will get a fountain style Diet Coke out here in the East Coast. Have you noticed they added more carbonation to their soda's? It seems like the past year I've noticed they're a lot more fizzy. I'm not complaining though! I prefer that over not enough carbonation.
@@TheDailyWoo they refrigerate syrup and soda water from tank in back to fountain as coke recommends. fresh baked predicts in a few decades or years off disney will go back to ride individual tickets and still have an entrance fee so get ready- what do you think.. he says anythuing to even out guest usage and attendance helps w staffing and surprise under staffing....
I read what makes the Coke at McDonald’s taste so good. It’s because when it’s distributed to their restaurants they’re stored and cooled in stainless steel tanks which protects it from several factors vs plastic bags. Also the straw makes a difference
the soda syrups are delivered in whats called a "bag in box" and they are not stored cold or in tanks. Now, the coke syrup is delivered in bulk and THAT is stored in a stainless tank, but its not cooled. the thing that makes their coke good is because the syrup and carbonated water are mixed right at the fountain, compared to being already mixed and bottled up. also the syrup ratio to water makes all the difference in the taste, because its not "bulk packaged" like cans or bottles, the flavor can be tweaked at the drink stations
I won't be going to that McDonalds anymore since they updated it. They took out the interior decor of the restaurant. They had a train set in there that as a kid I have found memories of. So Now I will just go somewhere else. Plus with McD getting rid of their dollar menu, I would rather go to BurgerKing for better deals and better food. Except for like you said for some reason the Cokes do taste better at McDonalds. But thanks for showing this establishment.
I know, I wondered that too. Maybe the dining room had just closed for the night by then? (commented before finishing the video - it WAS after dining room hours)
I wonder how many people as they see those fireworks going of just stand and take a moment to enjoy them, i know i would, as you get older Adam you seem to be getting more patience, just biding your time before you enter the park 😊
I can not understand why you are so excited over one of the most price inflated McDonalds on the planet. That place is a complete rip off. I will never go to that one again.
Hi Adam just noticed as you were walking away that the sign on McDonalds said that they were now open and Dining in was open ???? Good spot to see the fireworks is at the strip mall at the end of the street at Katella
Growing up in Anaheim in the 50s and 60s, we would watch the fireworks being lit off from a vantage point just North of the launch point, next to the then Allied Van Lines building. Very close to where you watched them, but a ground level. No buildings blocked our view. We could see them physically lighting off each mortar, by hand, with a lit flare.
Here's a challenge to you Woo ~ count the steps from the two hotels just across the street from the Harbor entrance to the middle gates at Disneyland I believe that would be my beloved Park Vue Inn and the Best Western (from the door of their main lobbys)...and count the steps from each of the on property hotel entrances (Disneyland Hotel, and the other two's door of their main lobbys) to the middle gates at Disneyland....I'd be super curious to know which one has the shortest steps and which has the longest steps, without shortcuts...just direct regular walking line to the middle Disneyland gate....right in front of the Mickey head. lol this is something I would do if I were there right now.
No notice that there is a big sign on the top of the McDonald's the read: "Dine In Open." Wow. Hello...And even if free, who would want to stand above a roaring freeway and adjacent to a busy boulevard to watch fireworks? A hobo? Jesus, buy a bleeping ticket off your $300K.
Mr Woo...up for a do...at McDonald's....old Ronald will cheer you on as you chomp into a tasty mcgriddle or mcnugget....oh mcgoddness! Show me..Big Woo!🎅
On TV commercials, they show the sandwiches looking perfectly assembled. We we go there ourselves, they look like they were put under a hydraulic press, cheese is barely on the sandwich, sauces on the sides more so instead of centered ON the patty.
My brother was SO obsessed with that McDonalds after reading the "Mousetales" book, with the part about the Autopia cast members sometimes getting the drive-thru feed on their walkie-talkies.
Yes! McDonald's has the best fries and coke. Btw, that wouldn't be the area that the movie "Drive Thru" was filmed in?! Do you know? I would love to know the exact location.
@@nellgrill3845 Yeah, but I don't know the filing locations for the movie. That's why I was asking Adam. He does such a wonderful job with pinpointing the info.
Ok! Finally, after viewing these videos and really paying close attention to the differences between Florida and California, I've figured out why Cali has the edge. It appears that you don't have to drive everywhere in Cali. It looks like you can park your car and walk. Florida appears to be more spaced out. It looks like you have to drive everywhere! There isn't a place where you can just park your car and walk.
McDonalds was founded not to far from Disneyland! Infact I met the McDonalds family in Monrovia ca in their original McDonalds a few years back ! That McDonalds has pictures of the McDonalds family hanging all over the establishment
Mcdonald's fries are not as good as they used to be. After they started to use oil instead of beef tallow they went downhill. Also, the actual fry is thinner than it used to be. All fries are not as good as they were because of this.
We have been following Adam the Woo for a long time. We enjoy our daily fix. I only hope he has very good health insurance. Because of his unhealthy diet, he is going to need it!
Can’t wait for you to make your return to Disneyland Adam. We will be there tomorrow 7/10..this will be our 2nd trip back. ‘Im inviting you to join me, shall you?’ 😉
I give you 1’8k five stars for you my boy hope you have nice day and shall you and shall you my name Craig king from south west wales 🏴 shall you
Thanks for showing this McDonalds. I have 5 kids and when they were younger we would always stay at the hotels on the Harbor side of Disneyland (the Best Western Park Place Inn was our favorite). We would always leave Disneyland in the mid-afternoon and walk over to that McDonalds to get food and back to the hotel for naps before heading back to the park later in the day. For a long time..that was the only place my kids thought you could get food at Disneyland…they didn’t know there were food places in the parks 👍😂 I’m glad to see that McDonalds open again!
Hey man! I really enjoy all your videos! I appreciate what you do keep up the solid work! Have you by any chance heard of a product called “Kangen Water”? 🌞💧🌱🌎🌊🏝🙏🏽👍🏽🤙🏽
I know nothing beats seeing the Disneyland fireworks in person, but I wanted to mention that the Howard Johnson Hotel Anaheim has a live webcam that looks at Disneyland and might show the fireworks like they used to before everything shutdown. It's great if you can't make it in person.
3:45….Google “MiceChat parking coupon “ to get a discount on that $35 parking rate at the Anaheim hotel (either $15 or $20 based on the day of the week…supposedly good thru 7/31/21)
Mc Donald's finally opened their dine in (so the outside sign said) what is it about people loving the fries Adam? To me their food quality was never great, breakfasts are good.... But that batch of food was... Meh.... Sorry... It must be great to have a restaurant so close to entrance of the park. When I last went to Disney it was grad nite 1983 LOL. Alot has changed since then. The fireworks were fantastic! Must be distracting to drivers LOL
Loved The Woo and Pops adventure week. He was a hoot. But, if not Pops, then Woo Solo is prime! Been here since the old NASA adventure. Feels like where growing together. Kind of bummed when Adam walked away for a spell. His depression brought me down right with him. Glad that he's hoppin'. Looking forward to what's next!
A few years ago my friends and I, on NY Eve, drove over to the resort area just to see the fireworks. Drove down Ball and did a U-turn at Harbor, driving back up the road over the freeway.. No cars on Ball so we just pulled over, across from TDA. Fantastic fireworks view. Another great view - top of Mickey & Friends. My son lives off Rio Vista, between Lincoln & Ball. They can see them from their front yard. Me - I’m in FV and hear them at home. 9:33pm. It’s so good to be able to hear them again.
Definitely right about that Adam about the Coke is better from McDs! I used to work the McD fry cart in Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom! I like McDs coffee and dunkin coffee!
Walt Disney hated all the questionable commercial clutter that blew up and surrounded the outside of Disneyland. It was part of what impelled him to establish Disney World in Florida, so we probably should sorta thank those guys for inspiring superior theme park experiences.
Mc donalds gets soda in aluminum vats as opposed to plastic bags. Or at least that's what I've read. Makes the soda so much better at McDonald's. McDonald's fries have sugar on them (think I read that in the same article)
No they are not. they are delivered in a box that has a bag inside thats hooked up to the machine. McD has been doing this for like 20 years or more. Thats how they are made by the suppliers its not just McD all fast food and even chain restaurants use these same boxes. And the fries do not have sugar, the secret to those is they are actually cooked for 30 seconds in hot oil after being made and then flash frozen. they call this process "blanching" and have been doing it forever
