You should totally do a full playthrough, the game is pretty short (only 2-ish to 3 hours, depending on how much you get lost in the sewer level) and the story gets FREAKING BONKERS

Later on, our buddy Mopheus transforms into what I can only describe as a Succubus made in the _Castlevania Judgement_ art-style, where he gains high heels. No, he isn't wearing high heels, his feet have mutated into the shape of high heels. He also gains control of an orbital weapons satellite, which proceeds to use numerous targeting lasers to line up the shot. And by targeting lasers, I mean the deck is covered with a bunch of red laser sights coming down from the satellite that is now targeting them from orbit.

I remember watching my dad play this game as a kid. I had drawings I did of the game for him and I had the song from the I guess attract opening [RIZE - Gun Shot] in my head for YEEEAAAARRRS and had the game lost to me up until like a year or two ago. The game might be shitty, but I'd honestly like to play the game with my dad someday.

The way he tossed his pistol in the beginning, you could imagine him making an audible, yet pathetic, 'eugh!'

For some odd reason, the dialogue subtitles are not only poorly timed relative to what the characters are saying, but in many cases they don't even match what the characters are saying. As for RE Dead Aim... it's not terrible, but it's a mixed bag.

The funny thing is, despite being frequently labeled by the fanbase as "off-brand Leon," this game's hero predates Leon's secret agent reinvention by two years. It's basically a case of "the kid who said the joke first versus the kid who said the joke louder." Also, I think this game has some of the creepiest zombies in the whole series. By the way, the reason the subs are so off is because they are a direct translation of the Japanese script into English, while the voice acting is based off the finished localization script. Since Resident Evil typically bases the lip-synching off of the English voiceover, though, I'm pretty sure they just left the subs like that by accident.

Matt, you get huge points from me for not only popping off for the song at the end of the video. But even more points for making the outro song 'Lycanthropy' from Killer Instinct (2013) which is one of my favorite tracks in the game!

Fun fact! This game recycled a scrapped premise of Resident Evil 4. The reason why the main characters look so much like Leon and Ada is because they were supposed to be them. Also this game is apparently canon in the RE timeline

NGL, I low-key want to play this game for some weird reason-call it sick curiosity-but it looks like it's better than Survivor I think also, was not expecting early 2000s nu-metal.

Credit given where credit is due, I actually kind of like Bruce visually because he's not an absolute GOW-adjacent BEEFCAKE BRUH like Chris is, though his narration voice gives me 'half-asleep college freshman giving his first PowerPoint presentation' energy XD ....Then again my favorite male player character is Peter from Revelations because he's a chubby Italian guy like me and he also kind of looks like me IRL lol. I was today years old when I learned that Raccoon City is based in the Midwest. As a Midwesterner myself, I now have a much more vested interest in the Resident Evil Franchise!

I am of the weird department of wishing this game got a remake. I like it but feel it can be better.

My fondest memory of this game was not playing it, but simply tenish years ago when trying to trade it in. I needed money to pay to fix my laser reader on my ps3 and to show responsibly to my parents at the time, I was like 14, I sold my old ps2 games I had and the guy behind the counter took every game except this one. He sifted through 30-40 games, namco's vampire hunter stuntman and turok evolution for an idea, and when he saw this he gave a very audible "oh goddamn it not this one." It was under his breath but loud enough to hear. He genuinely sent me home with this single game because, "It's just... Dead Aim sucks man I'm sorry. I won't be able to sell this."

I love this game.

I remember renting this as a kid and loved it. Also totally random but i remember buying Resident Evil Outbreak thinking it was Resident Evil 4 back in the day after seeing it in a Game Informer Magazine.

The subtitle issue is a problem through the whole Gun Survivor series iirc. It smacks of someone saying "hey these subtitles are off" and another person being like "we're on a deadline, ship it anyway"

The cruise chapter in Namco X Capcom is a better take on these protagonists than in all this game and also Regina from Dino Crisis is on the team.

I beat this game back in high school. Not only that I bought the version that came with the light gun. Also you can pretty much clear the game with the starting handgun.

I guarantee the cutscenes' subtitle inconsistency is for the following reason: it's a translation of the original Japanese script instead of subs for the English script. The series at this point were still only dubbed in English with Japanese subs in that region with the subs simply removed when localized for Anglophone territories. Guessing this localization team never got the memo about that. 😅

This is the only RE game that Capcom will never bring back, and it's the only game that shall be forgotten by human eyes.

The camera isnt shaky its probably interlacing related. Some games even in emulator can have interlacing artifacts especially with video. Also fwiw i always thought this was an enjoyed if flawed RE game? Some quite like it, though that may be with a guncon? Idk it was 20 years ago i may have played it and forgot lol

Ah, the 4th and final entry in Capcom's Gun Survivor series (following up RE Survivor/Biohazard Gun Survivor, RE Survivor 2 CV and Dino Stalker/Gun Survivor 3: Dino Crisis). Never heard much positive about... *any* of these games besides the non-horror of it all. Given light gun support tho, I might check them out for some laughs in the future. Also shoutouts to the JP name of Dead Aim: Gun Survivor 4: Biohazard - *Heroes Never Die!*

It might be a hot take but I want Capcom to remake these outlying weirdo RE games like this and Gun Survivor, since they are canon but they aren't exactly RE at it's best. I just think they could do so much better with them

It's definitely not an amazing game but I did enjoy it. And yes I beat it on PS2 with the Guncon.. . Twice! I laughed so hard playing this and the fact that none of the subtitles match back when I first played this lol.

It was the first Dead Aim where it's shoehorned in that the main character knows Leon, it's even needlessly played up as a detail in what's supposed to be a climactic moment that establishes this guy's identity and internally he quite literally says "Oh yes, I'm here as a favor for my friend Leon S. Kennedy", such unnatural reverence for what was still a regular guy in the games at this point. -oh but my mistake, I guess there was Gaiden having Leon do follow-up government mission with Barry but, *spoilers*, that game ends with a plot point never to be touched upon again where a shapeshifting zombie is who actually survived and took his place akin to a horror movie ending. While I'm at it, the game Namco x Capcom (which Project X Zone follows up) featured this lame duo of bargain Leon/Ada as the Resident Evil representation for some reason, and then weirdly enough yeah, again we have zombies on a boat featured in Project X Zone for Resident Evil again, but obviously Chris and Jill and also The Nemesis clears the bar set prior.
