Pressure in lungs is intraulmonary pressure . pressure in pleura is intrapleural pressure.

@11:12 Damaging phrenic nerve --- isn't the diaphragm subdivided into two hemidiaphragm's--which are each innervated by separate phrenic nerves (right and left phrenic n.)? Yes if you damage both nerves, you will die without ventilation or an ECMO, but if only one of the two phrenic nerves is lost--you're not dead, but diaphragmatic contraction and hence intrathoracic volume will be impaired along with the gas exchange.
