I've been stonewalled by CBC for years about their foreign affairs coverage. I tried to keep track of all their lies about Venezuela a few years back but had to give up because it was becoming a full time job. I got nothing but excuses and a brick wall when I complained.
At least you have been complaining, they know. So that's already something you achieved. In our case, I think more Chinese should mobilize and file a (joint) complaint to certain media outlets for spreading fake/distorted news abt CN. Wish CN would sue those outlets for slander too.

Interesting Daniel. Here in Norway NRK Norwegian state sponsored TV and radio broadcaster has teamed up with Amnesty Norway. Made a long sequence of anti China propaganda directly aimed at children down to 1st grade. The program is called supernytt and was shown in schools. My daughter us Chinese and in fifth grade had to sit together with classmates and see how the leader of Amnesty Norway and the hosts presented the lies about China. They are so evil and cynical. I have made a complaint but I don't think they will apologise for approaching young children. Their goal is to smear China, contain China, but the outcome could be attacks on my daughter. If that happens I know who I will visit. Not a threat from my side.

When I see Steven DSouza facial expressions, I see his fear of losing his job if he doesn't toe the line. You can see he is thinking of how to evade your comments and most importantly keep his job. I feel that journalism is like working in a corporate world. There are things you can say and there are things you can't just because there is an authoritarian boss who pays and feed your family telling you what to do. Being hearing impaired I found it difficult to understand the comments made by the CBC "reporter", which is very surprising if CBC is a national broadcaster in Canada. His voice and the sound quality was what I would call sub standard for broadcasting media. Daniel as ever ,speaks eloquently, clearly and concisely with authority about the subject matter.

I have subscribed to Daniel Dumbrill channel few months after the Hong Kong demonstrations… was searching for a view from “the other side of the fence”… and I am still subscribing, though not following regularly. I like his balanced approach to all issues discussed in his clips. Also, I’ve been a long time consumer of CBC news, mostly CBC radio, and I am still, but a selective now. Daniel, I really doubt Steve has the power to put out the story the way he perceives it and/or interprets. I think he is just the face and a convenient checkbox for CBC hollow diversity credentials, and the structure and content of his report is ultimately decided on at a higher level. As to him personally, the comfort that comes with his pay cheque and his need for sense of normalcy and stability overrides any urge for a moral high ground...There are many who will accept much less to sell their soul. That excuse that "X constraints limiting how much we can fit in the story" was also given to me by a local "journalist" in my country back then during the first month of the outbreak in China. I answered all of his questions thoroughly, very detailed and with all honesty, and he still butchered everything to make it look like something else. He even had the audacity to tell that "he would keep me informed of the "REAL" situation, as they knew the "goverment is hiding something". And not only that, but he also sent me videos from a Twitter account spreading blatant fake news about the situation we were living in China. It truly was the last straw for me.

Israel became developed under the regime of David Ben Gurion whose party ruled Israel for more than 30 years. No liberal and democratic system can save a country’s economy, there was no precedents that a democracy like those today could become a developed country. Because only a centralist and meritocratic system can concentrate national resources on large-scale construction, coordinate overall development, and maintain stable and long-term policy implementation. All of the developed countries you see today, they first became developed before they became democratic. Some of these developed countries don’t want other undeveloped countries to become developed, so they advocate others becoming democracies worldwide.
