Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but listening to this show was much like, as a child, listening in on a conversation amongst the adults in the room with little comprehension but with a clear sense that weighty and important things were being exchanged. Maybe my second or subsequent listen will crystalize additional meaning and understanding. But, for now, I'll just bask in the mysterious in anticipation of a greater revelation if not epiphany, considering such conservations in the same vein as one who plays chess with another of significant expertise, not with any hope of winning, but with a desire and intent to gain insight and better understanding. Maranatha!
This is your best episode. Thank you. This really rings true to anyone who has studied the Inklings, and these truths need to be recovered if Christian arts and culture are to be revived.
I listened through this twice. Once before reading the book and once after. Definitely recommend anyone who buys the book, come back here and revisit everything.
I love Dr. Baxter. He is enthusiastic, brilliant and has a good sense of humour. I look forward to getting my signed copy of his book, wrapped in his lecture notes so that I can reread his book again.
