@@DenVer624I have heard some news that it was the Kukis who started the war because 2 tyres were burning at the gate of a memorial. The news added that the Kukis started firing and burning down houses of villagers. Also it further said that the rally against the ST demand was a solitary march. My Kuki students were seen marching with AK47 and sniper guns. From my research, the internet is blocked in many parts of Manipur from 4 months ago by the government. It seems to me that the government is trying to hide something by preventing the people of Manipur to reach out to us How true is the news, my friend? I had been offline for a few months because of my exams and now I don't have much knowledge about the conflict in Manipur
I am from Germany and heard recently about that conflict in Manipur. I read, in the parlament of Manipur the Meitei have 40 seats, the other tribes together only 20 seats. How can democracy work under such conditions ?
Do more research btw diz is fact 20 seat is quota In hill Only for tribal candidates no meitei can be a candidate in hill area even if they lived their a century ago they only can vote , it’s that fair ???? whereas in valley the 40 seat it’s open for every community , any community can be a candidate Nagas, meitei ,Kuki muslim ,who ever wins win .

@@user-iz8ki3rq6w Meiteis land is 700 sq miles. The then ruling govt at centre for administrative conveniences made a mistake by letting some of the Nagas & Kukis to form Manipur, even thou they protected the Nagas and Kukis outside of 700sq by Article 371C.

Meitei also Tribal that belongs to Lai Tribe. Lai-Harouba, Lai-ningthou Lai-maren sidabi deities & ritual come natural with it. Either you talk with Political agenda behind or with vested interest of some factors, the people won't change. It was just the British Indian rule that excludes.

Kuki is a generic term for several tribes like the Nagas. It should be point out and clearify who are the indigenous Kuki tribes in Manipur and who are offshoots of refugees. The present chaos is caused by illegal immigrants.
