Welcome to Part 2 of our traditional event vlog, where we continue with the preparations for Oitala Pepata! In this episode, I take on new challenges as I learn traditional practices that I didn’t grow up doing because I wasn’t raised in the village.
Despite the struggles, it was an amazing experience to be taught by family members and to immerse myself in cultural traditions that are so important to who we are.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to embrace my heritage and uphold our traditions, especially as I try my best at preparing the traditional porridge on a traditional stove - for the first time! 🥘🔥
It was a special moment cooking for my husband and my new family, and I feel so proud to carry forward our cultural identity through these activities. ❤️ This journey has taught me the importance of cultural preservation and has strengthened my bond with my family and my roots.
Join me as I take on these new tasks, share some laughs, and dive deeper into the heart of our traditional village life! Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more content on African traditions, village life, and cultural experiences.
