The Merchant of Venice 1936 | The importance of The Battle of Cable Street 

The 4 October marks the anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street, the historical setting for The Merchant of Venice 1936 currently playing in the Swan Theatre Stratford-upon-Avon for two limited runs from 21 September- 7 October and 24 January-10 February.
