Hey dude, I’ve seen a couple of ur vids now and I really want to give this channel the recognition it deserves. The way you break down each step and show examples is super super helpful. As sombody who is trying to get into MMA and has little experience, being able to preform this move practically first try is super exciting! Thank you so much for the help and please keep posting amazing content!
Thank you! Means a lot hearing that. I truly love teaching - my own techniques as well as breaking down others techniques and highlights. I will keep the content coming!
Rickson was an Uchi-Mata guy and used to teach that. I picked it up watching videos of him, got myself Triangled a few times as a Blue Belt, then stopped using it. The deep grip around the waist combined with holding the foot is such a liability when you hit the ground. You get yourself stuck at the perfect distance and angle to get Triangled and the grip on the ankle is all you have to hold the night back. The Russian-Tie Kouchi version is much safer in Submission Grappling.
