This game was not only fun, but also emotionally stimulating, hitting many themes and problems such as the loss of innocence and perseverance in the face of despair in a poignant manner despite its colorful and cartoonish presentation.
Literally relate to Kril so much to my surprise. In the fact that he was forcefully pulled away from the comfort of his home, trying to fight so hard to go back but realise on the journey back that home and old life wasn't as great as he thought, finding a meaning that fits him more elsewhere
The story for this game popped off for absolutely no reason and I'm all for it. Great game that had me thinking a lot more than I thought I ever was after the credits rolled.
When we first met I'd hoped you might clean up the mess I made And with some time and rubbing alcohol The stains on me might fade But nothing ever washes out the way you want it to, my dear No, nothing ever seems to disappear You were my shell You were my shell I never itemized the value of what laid between The sunset and the sunrise and the sea And although the years will change us The sunshine won't fade us You'll always be a treasure to me And as the years went on I finally saw a glimmer in my grime And the both of us had dreams of staying spotless all the time But rubbish likes to pile up in corners you can't see And housekeeping's only for the bourgeoisie You broke my shell You broke my shell I never itemized the value of what laid between The sunset and the sunrise and the sea And although the years will change us The sunshine won't fade us You'll always be a treasure to me And when we parted ways I knew somehow we'd both turn out okay And these smudges won't get vacuumed up Or scrubbed at day by day And the linens might not get as bright as they promised on TV But elbow grease and loving eyes are free You were my shell You were my shell
I got into Another Crab’s Treasure expecting funny crab souls game from the people who made Going Under…and they hit me with so much emotion in their ending like a freaking freight train. God damnit, Aggro Crab, you can't play with our feelings like this while we play your amazing games.
Just beat the game tonight and RUSHED back here to listen to the credits song again. Y'all made a beautiful game and I hope it's not the last we've seen of Kril and the gang!
I loved this game. I had a lot of attempts for the different bosses, some made me rage inside, some outside. Some bosses were so hard that I rage quit, but eventually got them killed. Some were easy. BUT the story had no reason to go so hard, like I was crying when krill and the others fell down after fighting roland, and krill was depressed, or when the 30 year old granddad died.. I really loved this game. I fell in love the first time I saw it in a nintendo direct, and waited long for it, but it was worth it, even though I played it on a pc in the end. There's nothing I could say anymore, I wish everyone will play this awesome game someday because it was a masterpiece. Aggro Crab please continue to make coddamn awesome games
I cannot stop listening to this gorgeously rendered song. Your voice is gorgeous Alex. You took Caelan's lyrics and ran away with them. This deserves to go viral and get many awards.
The Mess I Made when we first met I’d hoped you might clean up the mess I made and with some time and rubbing alcohol the stains on me might fade but nothing ever washes out the way you want it to my dear no nothing ever seems to disappear you were my shell you were my shell l never idolized the value of what lay between the sunset and the sunrise and the sea and although the years will change us and sunshine will fade us you'll always be a treasure to me and as the years went on I finally saw a glimmer in my grime and the both of us had dreams of staying spotless all the time but rubbish likes to pile up in corners you can't see and housekeeping's only for the bourgeois you broke my shell you broke my shell I never idolized the value of what lay between the sunset and the sunrise and the sea although the years will change us and sunshine will fade us you'll always be a treasure to me when we parted ways I knew somehow we’d both turn out okay and these smudges won't get vacuumed up but scrubbed at day by day and the linens might not get as bright as they promised on TV but elbow grease and loving eyes are free you were my shell you were my shell _____________________ lyrics: Caelan Rashby-Pollock (aggrocrab.com) music: defsharp (defsharp.bandcamp.com)
This song is so beautiful. It came on during the credits and I just let it roll. Called my wife over to hear it. Shared it with friends. Really hope this song gets awards
A beautiful game with a beautiful song to end it off, can't wait for whatever Aggro Crab makes next. This was an absolute masterpiece. A shell of a good time.
The lines “ And although the years will change us, The sunshine won’t fade us, You’ll always be a treasure to me” really hit me hard. I had recently had a nasty break up with someone I cherish dearly, but we decided it was best to split up as friends. Most friends I have usually fade away and I lose contact with them, and I feel it might happen here. They might forget me, but I’ll always cherish them. They will always be a treasure to me. Thank you so much for this beautiful song, and as a whole, a beautiful game. This game will definitely also be a treasure to me. Edit: This whole song honestly describes me. I hoped they would help me get over my fears of life when we were together, being my shell in life. When we split, it broke my heart, or in this case my shell. I’m again fearing life, but not as much anymore. They cleaned a bit of the mess I had made, now it’s up to me to finish it.
When i first started playing, there was a lot of glitches and lag that i wasnt truly enjoing the game. Once the update came out, it was game over. Honestly so far this is my game of the year, the level design and combat are on par with the best in the genre and the story was so good. This song got me in my feels when i beat the game.
Who cried at the end? TuT its ok, as soon as we heard this, we all did and I'll never forget that or this game. After 5 months, I finally beat it... 10/10
Spoiler: Kril giving his shell away to that homeless crab from the sands between... punched me right in the feels. I'm also so happy Chitan survived. She is the big sister Kril always needed.
Aggro crab, you have made an absolutely gorgeous game with so much character and such a rich story thank you so much for such an amazing experience. Please keep making games or maybe even dlc for this game
why did they put their whole crabussy into every part of this game, nearly made me cry live on stream definitely one of my favorite indies of the year.
Aggro Crab.. never heard of you before this game. I absolutely loved this game. Truly was a fun experience. Crab souls for sure. I’ve 100% every soulsborne game. I tip my hat to you on this one. Loved the knight helmet lol
I love this game. An amazing experience and an immaculate soundtrack, I dont think i could ever forget it. Im biased tho, im a marine biologist. I only wish I could play this game for the first time once more.
Gracias por este juego, fue muy buena experiencia entre plataformas y un souls y pues bueno intentemos no contaminar para no crear más islas de basura, ojalá un DLC o una segunda parte.
So I made a little bit of a post-game for Kril after that depressing but realistic ending: Kril keeps looking for a purpose, and between helping out crabs survive the gunked, he collects comfortable shells and gives them to those that need it, using his growing Umami abilties to ferry them to crabs and fixing other hermit's shells.
If you guys ever descide to do a sequal or any add on content id love to see kril face off larger marine life like the return to flotsom boss fight ( as heartbreaking as it was ) large boss fights are so iconic .
I'm not done with the game I still have a long way to go, I'm not even done with the boss that has the sushi shell around the arena whom I call Sushi boss. But all I've experienced in the game has been awesome. this is also my first soulike game
I love this song But I’ve heard people talk about a sequel or dlc but I’d be happy with a way to rechallenge old bosses But still I loved it and it’s going in my top 10 maybe top 5 games I’ve ever finiwhed
I'm not a fan of soulslikes. I find it the fact how losing all my exp after dying is discouraging. It's why I stayed away from them. Until I found out about another crabs treasure. It may be baby's first dark souls. Or it may not be a soulslike with a lack of stamina bar or because of its assist mode. But this game can be not only the first soulslike I finished, but the first soulslike I enjoyed
