It was one of my favourite shows in the 80s. I loved Doris Roberts in the show, she did a great job with that role. I idolised Stephanie, and of course was so in love with Pierce.

Loved the show, the "5th" season was trash, should have ended after season 4, supposedly Pierce and Steph did not get along off screen but on they were magic along with the late Doris Roberts as "Mildred"..

He was planning to steal the jewels the Steele agency was hired to protect. The guy who hired them mistakenly introduced him as Remington Steele, so she ends up going along with it.

She creates a fictitious person. That’s fraud. Should have been taken into custody

It is not a crime to create a personality. She wasn't trying to defraud anyone. If she was using someone else's name and credentials to commit crimes that would be fraud. Many companies are named after fictitious people/personalities.
