It's been too long since I've seen this movie. Meteor Man was more than the typical superhero who solves everyone's problems by himself, then flies off into the sunset. Meteor Man did something better, he inspired people to set aside differences, be brave in the face of fear and save the day for themselves. He gave hope to people who were ready to give up and accept defeat. In the end, it was everyone who saved their neighborhood, not just Meteor Man, and that was just aces!
0:00 to 3:20 - Main Title Theme 4:52 to 6:24 - The Golden Lords 6:25 to 6:56 - Anthony Byers and the Mafia Appears 6:57 to 8:44 - Golden Lords Appear at the Mall 9:10 to 10:05 - Simon Gains Meteor Man's Power, Simon vs Reed 10:06 - Reed Becomes Bruce Lee 10:20 to 11:19 - Simon Throws Reed up a building, Simon Says "SHOOT ME!!" 11:20 to 11:37 - Marvin Strips the Golden Lords of their weapons. 11:38 to 12:02 - The Bloods and The Crips Appear.
Such an epic score, and such an underrated movie. Is it cheesy? Sure, it's a product of its time. But it's one of the only superhero movies to show a true hero, and teaches a lesson all the blockbusters today seem to have forgotten: it's not about how hard you can punch, it's about the difference you make to the world around you.
Hard pass. I feel like people think the movie is cheesy enough. I like Jefferson's pov and the point of community. Disney would scrub it and loose the point of gang violence. Robert Townsend did a original movie in the early 2000s for Disney. Up,Up and Away.
I love this movie, i always believed the meteorite stayed within him and did not leave him after his powers faded. I still think they could make another movie by making him be hit in an electrical storm and that electric recharges his meteor infected body... Again this is just my opinion or idea.
To answer your question his powers never left him as i remembered in the comic book by marvel him and his friend mike went some where in Arizona to get the other half of the meteor to restore his powers
Every time I here this tune, it puts me in a good mood. This music is the anthem for goodwill. This music is more inspiring than John Williams’ Superman, no offense.
The score sounds this good because same composer who did one of the Star Wars movies as well. And if you listen to that as well you will hear how they do sound a like a bit.
A lot of memories for me as well. In particular an original black straight edge hero who is more like superman in that he just cares about the old the young and our future in a world free of crime gangs and drugs in the neighborhoods of the inner city youth. Meteor man believes all lives matter and now would be a very important time for a marvel adaption or a dc adaption
GREATNESS+GREATNESS=HUMANBEINGS...ROBERT THE GREAT...GREAT MOVIE ~ GREAT SOUNDTRACK ....LOVE.. 1 800 LOVE GOD TO OPEN YOUR GOLDENHEART TO MORE OF GODS SOUND & LIGHT.
Technically Marvel Released a few Meteor Man comics ( Robert Townsend played a character first 2 season with the same name and the radiation from vibranium the same metal r) and continued on Black Lighting On Netflix reenergizes his powers
Well, there's a black Superman in the comics. He's on parallel Earth...so yeah I guess your right. I don't see DCEU adding him to the live-action roster.
