The Flashbax are A spectacular 80’s new wave tribute band from Los Angeles, Ca. The Flashbax are long time veterans of the 80s club scene, having performed at some of the hottest clubs and bars Hollywood has to offer. Greatly known for the most outrageous non- stop “dj- blending” style performances, the band has created a one of a kind show that always leaves fans wanting more. Soaring vocals, face melting guitars, fat bass lines, ambient synth keys, and heart thumping drums are the DNA of these guys. They bring the hits alive with energy and the best musical arrangements. Jackie Mendez is a vocalist & musician based in Los Angeles, California. She grew up listening to a wide range of music, but it wasn’t until her introduction to Ska and Punk, mainly the British 2Tone ska revival music of the late 1970’s where Jackie took the next step and started playing in bands. She developed a keen interest in 1960's era Jamaican Ska and Reggae influenced by singers from the likes of Alton Ellis and Ken Boothe.
