Last week, we uploaded one of our favorite videos ever from the city of Taxco! If you haven't seen it yet, you can watch it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D2pZUhz_OAY.html
Question for you Guys: Don't most Mexican towns and cities have a huuuuge asphalt, town square? (And Mexico being the religious, deeply Catholic country that it is, will have TONS of churches, everywhere! 👍)
Awwww So glad we made this happen!!! BECAUSE of Maddie and Jordan inviting us we were able to be here for Diego's family. When we arrived we found out his mother had been sick and then took her to the hospital. We found out she had a brain aneurysm . We came here to spend time with Maddie and Jordan and see Diegos family. We had NO IDEA his mom was sick. Thank you to you guys for inviting us here. I believe this was all God's timing and I know we did not get to spend as much time together as we hoped but we well see each other again soon! Love you guys always and SORRY for being so loud in the Dulceria Hernandez. Tocayo! I got excited...lol Whoops! It was amazing to see Laska and her reaction on camera! Love you so MUCHO!!!!! xox
This reunion was everything we wanted/needed and then some. We're so thankful you were able to be there for the family during this hard time and continue to pray Diego's mom will get better. 💕 You got so excited over that candy...who wouldn't!! Followed up by infinite laughs over pulque with the family. Ahh so many amazing memories this week!! Can't wait for our next adventure. Love you guys!!
@@DeepScubaDiver thank you it's been tough! She had a second surgery yesterday and we are still waiting to see if it's getting better or worse. It's been a roller coaster ride if emotions to say the least. Thanks for all your support as always it's so appreciated! Hugs friend!
In Ciudad de México we have a joke: when someone says something is "feo" we ask "¿Más feo que Toluca?". It's amaizing how you managed to show how beautiful it really is.
It is insane how many underrated and beautiful cities and places are in Mexico! You guys videos just keep making our Mexico list longer and longer! Also love how you guys always introduce your audience to so much awesome food! Props!
It really is! The well-known beach destinations are gorgeous of course but we so often feel like they don't hold a candle to central Mexico! Plus, we're suckers for the typical food in each city/state haha :)
My husband is from a village next to Toluca, when were married in Mexico we went to the botanical gardens for our wedding pictures, the place was packed with beautiful brides.
Hi, I'm from Toluca and I'm happy you guys had a good time there, a city criminally underrated because Mexico city takes all the credit, but Toluca is strategically located in a great part of the country, close to the capital, the beach, and many other great cities. Greetings from Washington state.
That looked like such a great time with Trish and Diego! Laska was so happy when she saw them! You guys looked nice at the fancy restaurant, Maddie I especially love your skirt! At the end when you got the corn my stomach legit growled Jaja! Hugs!! ♥️💃
Our long-awaited reunion was everything we wanted and then some! :) Laska's reaction was absolutely priceless. And girl, you're tellin me!! Every time I saw that part while editing I was like _drooool!_ haha
I´m so happy that you guys visited my city, I know maybe it´s not the most popular or the most recommended but it´s pretty cool of you that you gave it a chance, it has its own charm and essence, so I hope in the future you return. Greetings!!
Hi Guys, Toluca is a great city but with cold weather. You could go to "la alameda", "tortas de la vaquita", "el museo del Alfeñique", "metepec" that is a close town and a Pueblo Magico. But maybe next time.
Those hollowed-out limónes stuffed with cocada are actually one of my favorite things I’ve ever had in México...I even tried to recreate them myself at home, with disastrous results!! Thanks for sharing your adventures
Toluca looks amazing, definitely going to visit when we move to Mexico next year. Can't wait to retire in the Lake Chapala area. How the weather there? Being at such a high altitude I imagine it would be cooler than a lot of parts of Mexico.
I live in Mexico city for 22 years and you guys know my country way more than me , I love your humbleness, I have live in Dallas tx for the last 24 years I love your videos Thank you !!
Lovely tour of Toluca. You guys always find the hidden gems. Those candies and the street food looked awesome. Nice to meet up with friends. Laska never forgets😘 Smart dog. Safe travels. ❤
So glad you got to Toluca. I've had a home there for 25 years. In terms of number of parks, art galleries, and museums per capita, it is unbeatable. The biggest reason it has a bed rep among chilangos is that they have to drive through Toluca Friday nights (to get to Valle de Bravo) and Sunday afternoons to get back to CDMX, and all they remember is the traffic jams.
Very good vibe in this video, your friends are fun and cool guys!, and you're right Toluca is not very popular city to visit, I'm living now in Vancouver but I'm from CDMX, when I was living in Mx, going to Toluca it was just to go for some the family party or visit a family we have there, but not much for visit or spend time exploring, I agree that is a beautiful city, but maybe one of the reason is not very attractive at least for CDMX people is because is very cold, I'm not sure but again I agree that is beautiful and the typical food is deli!! Enjoy it!! :)
Luved this video, you guys show us so many unbelievable beautiful Mexican cities. I am enjoying Laska's antics so much lately, I almost cried when she got so excited seeing her old friends and I don't even know Laska.
YES!!! We have been here the last week and I REALLY love the temps here! I am still adjusting to the altitude and DRY air! Totally opposite of the Riviera Maya lol! but yes the temperatures are very comfortable. Diego's family does not have heat or cooling in the house at all and its very comfortable.
@@TangerineTravels - I'd just like to add: you guys were the primary inspiration for me to travel across 3 continents to visit the Colonial highlands of Mexico in the summer of 2019. It was awesome & I thank you. I'm looking forward to a future visit of Oaxaca, the Maya Riviera, & Merida.
The candy reminded me of Dulces Morelianos in Morelia. If you go back to Morelia in the future, make sure to stop in. I think there’s even a candy museum. There’s such a wide variety of fruity candy in Morelia.
I really want to thank you to sharing with all of us the beauty of my City, it might not be the best but sometimes we fogot that every single place in Mexico it's wonderful and I'm also speaking for myself 'cause the same thing happens when you live in the same place for so many years and because of this video I could see the charm of Toluca again, so thank you for that too.
OMG! You where here!!! I use to work very close to where you guys stayed and you made me remember of all my walks around the center back then. Toluca has it's charm, even if it is difficult to to see for the resto of Mexico. We are known as "los de Toluca son fríos", we are not that friendly, so I'm glad you guys had the chance to visit and show a little bit of the nice side of Toluca.
5:49 what the lol. My favourite part is when Laska saw some of his old friends. Awesome video, I wish you would let Jordan use the word "magic" though as magic is how a lot of us would describe the experiences you get to enjoy :)
My city is underrated because many people think of my state being as Ecatepec, a shanty part of it , but it turns out to be not only the most populated but the second in PIB in my whole country . By the way, you missed archeological sites ( calixtlahuaca) , the cathedral , Zacango Zoo, The Xinantecatl , the pueblo mágico de Metepec , etc etc.and Toluca is the fifth largest city in the country, it has some of the best private en public schools.
awe.. it's so wonderful to see all of you together. Thanks for the ongoing tours of incredible places! Great to see Deigo's home city! We met Trish and her pups briefly biking the streets of P.M. and hope to return one day when we have more time to do a tour with her company. Have fun and pets to Laska! Thanks again!
Long time no see Jordan and Maddie, and also, not forgetting LASKA! Wow, 9,000 ft.elevation, yeah I've heard it gets cold over there and if weather conditions are right its been known to snow. And in the IRIE habit of making GREAT Videos, here's another AWESOME Video, also COOL watching Laska meet up with Trish Advisor and her hubby, glad to see you enjoyed the pulque and of course the yummy esquites! :D
I'm from Toluca and I think Toluca has a lot of places to visit, but they are outside the city. Here are archaeological places to visit. Here are magic towns too and places with magic views
Hi Guys, really Toluca is a Nice City I think needs more advertising, more tourist information, thank´s a lot for your videos, I think also we still have to visit many places in Toluca as Centro Cultural Toluca, Centro Cultural mexiquense, Metepec, Nevado de Toluca, Estadio la Bombonera, Galerias Toluca and Galerias Metepec, town Square metepec, Zoologico de Zacango, etc. maybe for next visit to Toluca you can go to these places.
One of my favorite esquites is in a small neighborhood within Toluca. He simmers the corn in a spicy salsa roja and its so fresh and hot every time. I don't even go to any other vendors because I love his so much.
Jordan, I love your blue shirt, the color looks good on you! Maddie your floral top and black skirt looked really nice on you, as did your brown sweater! Laska was determined Jordan was handing out snacks to everyone she was getting one. She is very smart! Never forgot her friends. I also enjoyed meeting Diego & seeing his wife Trish again. Toluca looks really nice. video.
Hi Maddie and Jordan, I've been watching your adventures since the begining and kinda sad that I've caught up. Thanks so much for your videos and please stay safe
@@TangerineTravels Yeah, I actually prefer everything in a cup, because it's cleaner. Like the ice-cream, I love the flavor of the cone but it's too messy to eat
We moved to Mexico about a year ago and we are very thankful that we had your channel to watch for great information and insight. We are now in the process of getting our temporary residency and making youtube videos here in Mexico as well, Thank You.
Laska so happy is adorable! My best friends always have me dog sit when they travel. For about the last 10 years... So now on a regular day when I pop in ( we live in the same neighborhood) The dog is the same way with me! LOVE it!!
Toluca Valley (Toluca, Metepec, Zinacantepec...) doesn't have the most beautiful downtowns; but it's a great place to work. The weather is pretty cold in winter and warm in spring, so you never need A/C or heating systems. The valley is surrounded by forest and there are some clubs for all types of cyclists, motorbikers, or offroaders. And there are some condos in the forest 30 minutes from Mexico City with private security and 1000 Mbps optical fiber internet.
Please ask Diego about his Iowa Hawkeyes cap. What's the connection? When I wore my Hawks jacket in CDMX, the locals stared, maybe thinking it was an Aztec symbol.
Those botanical gardens are gorgeous! It reminds me that I recently learned of a huge garden park in the state of Morelos, I think about 2 hours or so south of Cuernavaca, called Jardines del Mundo (I think), and I also think it’s the largest outdoor garden in the world. Something you might consider checking out. It’s also not too far from a large archaeological site known as Xochicalco, if you’re into that sort of thing (as I am). Also, not too far (I think it’s in either Morelos or Guerrero) is a natural water park called Las Estacas which is just beautiful. It’s where Tarzan (or The Creature of the Black Lagoon - my memory is failing!) was filmed. On one end of the park, you jump into a cenote from a fair height, then a good current takes you down a river a ways to an open grassy area. I spent the day doing that over and over. It’s heavenly.
SO GLAD you chose to go to Cosmovitral! I'm inspired to go; and I appreciate you letting us know about the air pollution. And, thanks for the coupon for my VPN - purchased! Want to know more about Queretaro and air pollution everywhere. I've been checking towns around Mexico you've been to -- Orizaba seems to have the least; Tepoztlan also. Ajijic has a problem with clean air; very disappointing. Tlaquepaque is so-so. Patzcuaro about the same as Orizaba. It's interesting to track the air quality. Also, wondering about water quality and supplies for each place you visit. Anything near Mexico City is at risk. 😟 So sad they chose to drain the lake there....Happy travels!
I’m from Toluca and moved to Queretaro a few years ago, best decision ever. The city is not nice, bad weather and very unsafe. I do miss the street food (so much better than Queretaro’s). I was born and raised there still I tell everyone I meet, the greatest tourist attraction Toluca has is to leave it.
Hola, La Tangerinitos originals. One thing that I haven't seen you cover yet is your car, in respects problems parking, any break-ins, do you drive in the LARGE Cities ? And anything else you can think of regarding bringing your car into Mexico for as long as you have. I think you Guy's are funny as heck and tremendously enjoy your videos ! Much Love, DaNuck
Toluca has a good amount of citizens from Lebanese descendance. Many own and run the mayor news outlets, are important architects and engineers, hold high posts in state, and local government. Good people overall.
@LatinaApostate I used to travel there for business a few years ago. The business people my company dealt with in Toluca owned medical supplies and grocery stores. These business people were 2nd generation Mexicans from Lebanese decent. These other people in Toluca are influential architects, news media, and engineers from Lebanese decent with roots in Toluca. All are very friendly. Have you heard of the now deceased Mexican comedian known as "Capulina"? His father was full Lebanese living in Mexico and he did not speak Spanish.
