Absolutely fantastic! Funny, clever, entertaining, inspiring, fun, cool, and probably a contender with the first episode of being the best episode produced so far. Brilliant!
@Shokyuu You can't see it of course, but Chase knocks the table just as the BustOClock strikes twelve. C'mon, you gotta try harder than that to catch us in a mistake - we're the masters of retcon! :)
@J3ofHearts Hrmmm. Okay good one, but here goes: In the pilot Chase said he played 854,722 hands over 7 or 8 mo., but what he left out was how inconsistently he played. He'd go on week-long benders playing nonstop until he fell asleep at the keyboard and then quit in disgust for a week before starting the cycle all over again. By vowing at the end of Ep5 that he would play "90k hands/month" he was committing himself not just to a certain # of hands, but to a disciplined schedule. Booyah!
"You must go deeper" "Don't move until you see it!" "huh??" "Don't move until you see it!" "The merge is a lie" "There is no spoon" Wish I had Durrrr's hat...
Now Durr is about to go on the sickest run of his life, just you wait, he's gonna win that two bracelet bet. You'd have to be stupid to bet against him.
@sheeprustler Which one? The classical piece at the beginning is Tchaikovsky's Romeo & Juliet Fantasy Overture, and our theme song is called "Nehru Jacket" by Rob Johnson.
@TheMicrosPoker Wow, good (final?) episode. Titanic huh.Yah guess that little bit of foreshadowing that should have "tipped" me off. I think a little part of me died though when Chase got the suckout right back against him to re-lose everything. Just because it doesn't happen in my own life doesn't mean I wouldn't have liked to have vicariously lived it in some legoish hella entertaining fantasy platform such as "The Micros". Sure a convenient way to wrap it up. Does this mean theres no more?
awesome that you got Dwan to do this...he doesn't do *any* media stuff really. So...is this the last episode? I mean...they cant' really play the micros anymore unless they move....or stay in australia! That's the ticket!
@J3ofHearts Wow I feel like I'm at a Q&A fan geek forum hearing a question that specific and conscious to detail. Very astute observation sir, as petulant as it may be I think this one may have them stumped. Although there are some plausibly conceivable explanations. An easy one simply being a mental error on Chases part, not hard to imagine given the traumatic circumstances and underlying factors. And it is Chase I mean, that one just speaks for itself.
