Bought one from amazon last December 2022. Good enough for usual office stuff, programming of small apps. Can't edit 4k video, it will die. You can dual boot it too. Tried ChromeOS and linux on usb drive.
Love the form factor, thanks for the review, I need one of this a secondary "laptop" to take on trips, no need for horse power computing, only RDP capabilities
Thank you. Feel better about getting it now. Good to see the i3 makes a difference. Bought as an upgrade from lenovo ideapad 3 that I use for binge watching. Im looking at getting a couple of retro games on it too, but im talking ones from 1999 (Wizardry 8 & Neverwinter Nights)
Love the form factor and capability of the device and the build quality is great. When traveling 8 out of 10 times I end up grabbing a Chromebook HP x2 or even a Kindle HD for longer flights for video consumption. That said I would miss this device if it was not in my collection.
Hi, the surface go 3 can utilize a usb c to charge. I use my Samsung charger and it works well and fast for a charge up. No issues or overheating to my Samsung charger or the Surface Go 3
They do, but you can actually use a USB-C charger to charge your device. This definitely works with the Surface Go 3, and other recent Surfaces as well with USB-C connections. I believe the USB-C has to be at least 15-20watts though.
@@JoseGomez-Jr Yes, that's true. I was referring to the fact that instead of giving the users 2 usb-c ports they are forcing them to either use the port to connect your peripherals or carry the charger with you if you use it extendedly. Anyways, it was released almost 2 years ago, will be looking for the new one in the upcoming months.
I have tried both. The difference is minimal. Save up for the upgrade and instead go for the 8 GB RAM version of the Pentium Gold SG3 instead of the 4 GB version of i3 SG3.
