I think it's mid-tier to pretty good and one of the better maps in the game. Although I tend to prefer bigger maps I have been known to cower in B and C. You describe the pain of D pretty well. Nice hover tank skills!
IT's not yet too late, but Is up to us to keep our memories in high value.. i always imagine that bf was COMPLETED with bf4. i don't buy but simply ignore all follow-up releases. the 4 in all it's extend and the "feeling" still exceeds all nowaday's game-standards and quality by far, a true memorial to the developpers at that time. the player base is not only intact but still quite large, the game is absolutely matured and literally feels complete. ea has unmistakebly made clear their course multiple times now, not to mention the corporate behavior towards the community, their resistance when it comes to player's wishes or proposals, the displaced woke-gender-bullshit and finally the 2042-scam, which was one single insult to any player. so no matter whatever they do or not, they will not besmirch (at least) my memories and of all the fun i had with my buddies back those days - like the ONE teenage-love you can never forget..
I loved the vibe on all the final stand maps, especially Hangar 21. Hope you get to that one eventually even if I know you won't have positive things to say about it.

I thought i hated this map back in the day but your breakdown actually made me realise that there were moments of actual fun. Different areas of the map offered different style of fighting. Could always count on a sniper being up on the hill somewhere. Dog tags were taken haha
hey bro, i could listen to your deeeep and pinpoint-accurate analysis all day.. regarding the the clear, educational structure of your research i always wonder: is there probably some kind of battlefield-university? and if there is, do you inherit the professorship and where can i immatriculate? is a certain numerus clausus required or do they accept my years of service back in vietnam? and can i write my doctoral thesis on "increasing the efficiency of war crimes and atrocities - women and children first!""🤔 as always: excellent quality (pure disco-stuff🤯), so undiluted it almost hurts - all follow gravity!
Hammerhead is a wonderful map, but Hangar 21 is my favorite map. I know it doesn't get a lot of love. I get that the map has problems, but...something about that map I can't articulate appeals to me.
