I can see this song is more so an appeal to Jason having the mind of a angry child. Quite a tragedy, i know its a gorefilm, but all jason's really mad about is the death of his mom, when she went insane due to her believing Jason had died due to negligent people. Not justified in murder, but i mean, he was a child, and that was his mom. What makes a horror film scary isn't always the gore of violence in this case, the storyline is believable with an arc of a human in vengeful rage, which is scary because the audience while would never condone it directly, can somewhat understand that Jason is a personification of Wrath, to which anyone is capable of. Thats what made him the monster. Otherwise hes just a boy.
