The Mig Switch Is A Joke. 

Agreed. Ordered mine back in January, along with dumper from a company I'd never heard of in the UK; I kept up to date with it all online knowing all along the "doubling" of price was a cash grab, but as I just wanted to back up my 50+ games and not lose some of them (it's happened) I went for it with the dumper. Eventually came a few weeks ago and there's no problems from my side, having known "stock" issues. I play online as they are my own back ups, so unless somehow the mig is uploading the roms somewhere (lol), then I'm perfectly safe in knowing no one else has them. As for the "v1 was a prototype" argument, on the 25th may, MIG put a post on their website stating that a similar function of skipping without ejecting or move back a game would be implemented via a downloadable patch. On top of that, I'm not a random youtuber- well I am in the very literal sense of the word. No one endorses me and I just post random rubbish that I find amusing in games like glitches or what have you. I didn't get my dumper because I promised mig a glowing review. In fact, I left the store I bought from a glowing review via trustpilot here in the UK, ad they're obviously an honest store that does skins for controllers etc. Anyway; back to the video - it just smacks of lack of research and putting a video out there simply for clickbait and verging on outrage of a product they know nothing of; I fell for the clickbait after researching reviews of the v2, and won't be subbing.

@@TheJohngenegenie Just got the mig switch and dumped my own games using my modded switch. I wanted a cartridge to hold all the games i like to play online so I wouldn't have to keep them with me. I've been too scared to go online with the game's I've dumped, so its good to hear you've had a good experience and haven't got banned or anything. Lmk if that is still the case.

@ryangtromero it is indeed. Though I do keep up to date with reddit, and whilst a lot are using pirated games and getting "just" the shop / online banned, there is still a lot of trepidation with some, saying that quite literally everything you do online can be fed back to ninty when you go online. It's a really grey area, but the way I see it is if you and only you use copies of your own games, it's fair game. However, should ninty find a way to detect the mig (as opposed to those idiots who are all using the same shared license from pirate bay etc), then they can suspend the online portion of the switch or still potentially block the console fully (though I've yet to gear pf tge worse outcome). So whilst I'm fine (I have 3 switches anyway, with the zelda one one pre order), I would suggest you do what you feel best in your own situation. One thing that may be food for thought though is the R4 are still knocking around, so whilst they aren't happy at stuff like that, nintendo aren't that great with protecting their consoles in that respect... though you can be sure if backwards compatibility is a thing on "switch 2", they will be looking into ***something***. Not looking to scare you anyway, just sharing what I know and think. Hope it helps you in some way, and welcome aboard the legally grey area of home backups 🤣👍

No, because if you do you will get banned.

It probably will not have a proper menu because running unsigned code is impossible without an exploit on stock firmware.

@@Loanshark753 impossible or improbable? Older consoles were able to get menus eventually without exploits on carts similar to this.

Unless you potentially want your account or console banned. Only legit dumps will *definitely* work online - provided ninty don't dump the bam hammer on that too.

you need the game files and attach the certificates. they said nintendo put expired dates on all physical games certificates..

Actually, many video game developers say that piracy is good. It gives their games exposure, and the people that didn't buy the game weren't going to buy the game anyway. I have 3,000 games in my Steam library, many of those started out as pirated versions that I later bought.

@@MadMullins Facts I do that for early access games that im not sure of, then they turn out to be a great game then I buy it.
