watching this with my daughter, this cartoon still brings me so much joy..used to wake up at 6 am on Saturdays to watch the reruns of this in the 70's..awesome fun! Johnny Mathis sang the theme under a different name!
Lol. I remember watching this when I was a little kid. I could never figure out why Hercules didn’t just put the ring on from the get-go and instead of getting his ass kicked first😂
In the earlier episodes, he does. He puts it on before even leaving Mt. Olympus. As the series went on, he started putting it on later and later in each episode (and seemed to need it less and less).
I remember watching Mighty Hercules on the Cadet Don and Kittrik's Carousel Shows as a kid growing up in Freeport in the 60's on KTRK TV Channel 13 out of Houston.😮😅😊
We didnt get this in Canada, but when we went down to visit my grandma in Washington, this was my favorite thing to watch! Was so disappointed when it wasnt there, one year.
I remember watching this on teletoon retro when I was a kid! the intro song would play in my head from time to time and nobody else knew the song cause everyone else watched Disney channel and whatnot
It's so simple and creative. I agree with the comment that Hercules is like a superhero. Thanks for uploading, it brings back good memories of growing up in the 80s.
I once read that the cartoon was created as a Public Domain version of Superman (with Helena as Lois Lane and Newton as Jimmy Olsen), but I've never been able to confirm it, but that would explain his logo (a stylized red letter on a yellow background) and that little spit-curl. (Though the lightning power-up and his often-closed eyes also brings to mind Golden Age Captain Marvel) Later, I read from a more reliable source that the look of the 1990s animated Superman was explicitly based on The Mighty Hercules, so it came full circle.
It’s because the animators decided to take the face of Hercules and apply it to Superman since they had difficult times to think how the Superman show should be set up and trying to find what face fits on Superman/Clark Kent
I’m watching the Hercules show from 1998 and talking to my mom born in 67 and she’s like I hate that show and the theme song and sings some of it I’m like uh not the same show i googled this why does he look like superman I said ,the animation when he’s fighting the monster is hilarious it looks like there either making out or dancing.
First question, " What is Hurcules saying at the end of each episode? " Second, " do you think that line inspired Larry Merchant's ( LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE ) ? " 😆
They can still watch shows like this, can't they? If they know where to look or if the parents or even grandparents tell them about the show, there's no reason they can't still watch it.
An art student could easily redraw this and rocket robin hood to influence the older vote. You know simple your candidate is evil and is defeated by good.
Does anyone else notice the similarly 2 the Nephilim??, there were Giants in those days n mixtures of humans w animals. It's in the Bible n especially detailed in the Book of Enoch!! Interesting...
I was online looking for the villains of 50's & 60's cartoons when I saw this. And just think... this was one of the most popular of it's time, and I use-to watch it almost faithfully Thumbs up for the memories.
