As a cop I carried a Mini 14 for several years, mounted on my front seat, also carried a M-16 in the trunk and loved this mini 14 during the Riot in L.A in 1992, seen a lot of action there so I am pleased with getting a mini 30 and mounting it on a mini 14 stock. I like your new folding stock, will see your next video to see how it works out.
I’m a 59 year old retired Army Infantryman and many of us go into Law Enforcement after our service and what you do is not an easy job by any means, I respect LEO’s greatly since it’s a job where you never know if you’re coming home at night, most don’t realize the pressure you’re under, especially when one does it for so many years. Glad you came out unscathed and hope your life these days is rewarding, you earned it many times over.
I’m in my 50’s and I’ve owned a couple Mini-14’s over the years but the only one I kept and will never get rid of is my Mini-14 GB. Mine is a 185 series and was a prison rifle with Texas DPS that I picked up a few years ago at a pawn shop for $700 and it was in perfect condition. I plan to get a Samson stock but I don’t shoot mine very much but the folding stock is a must for a GB variant.
Had a Mini-14 SS RR for 30 years now. Never once did it malfunction. I used to skip cleaning it and plink with it. It was a fun rifle, now it just sits in a safe all clean...
Don't know why, but I suddenly thought of the mini14 today, and went down the rabbit hole of the A-team, and I knew this was the gun they used... Yup, I'm gonna get me one, and convert it to look like this. I have a few AR's, .22, 5.56, .458, .300blk, but this is an underrated classic.
Have a mini 584 series. Bought in 18” I believe. Bought a Choate smooth synthetic stock and the action fits way tighter than the wood stock. A red dot, trigger job, barrel stabalizer, white light and mount and a sling. Love the mini, mine shoots great and I’ll keep it for ever. Hopefully 👍🏻 good carbine’s.
Already have the A-TM stock and love it. Looking forward to the completed Hannibal Rail install and hopefully, range time. If it works out well it might be time for the Mini-14 and Mini-30 to get this upgrade.
The real question is do you put a blued upper or stainless upper into all that wood and mags. I lean toward a new stainless just to pick up on the accuracy improvements over getting one at the pawn shop. I just want a nice behind the door pig gun to deal with feral hogs. The 30 carbine covers that role right now and it just does not anchor them like I would like.
That’s a lot of words to say you can’t shoot anything decently that isn’t an AR. Agree with commenter above, you’re just recycling the same weak-ass ‘argument’ AR stans put out there. S’ok, we get it 😆😂
