That’s because this movie and IB are in a long tradition of WWII adventure movies stretching back to the 1940s. Tarantino went into great detail in interviews about the genre and what movies he used for inspiration, riffed off of, or stole and repurposed from. Some of the movies were: WHERE EAGLES DARE THE DIRTY DOZEN THE TRAIN THE SECRET INVASION THE GUNS OF NAVARONE FIVE GRAVES TO CAIRO KELLY’S HEROES THE DEVIL’S BRIGADE THE INGLORIOUS BASTARDS (1978) ACTION IN ARABIA MAN HUNT

That,s exactly what it's supposed to be, read the book it's bloody brilliant, Winston called for Europe to be set alight and to do that he needed people who thought outside the box this lot ticked every box. I know it's a film but if that's 1940's nazi occupied Europe that black gentleman would in a concentration camp faster than you can say aufwiedersen

"Operation Postmaster" was in West Africa. So it remains to be seen whether this is bending the knee to DEI or not.

The movie isn’t set in Nazi occupied Europe. So no worries. Be pretty bizarre to go to West Africa and find no black Africans there.

So I am to believe that WAAAAAAAY back in 1941 the creation of the SAS involved an Asian man?! Dudes accent is on point but dear god that is historically inaccurate. Was all for this and the chemistry between the actors seems great, but its history. Americans put all Asians in camps for gods sake.
