Some years ago, I read somewhere, "Peace is for the Weak and Unworthy. The Brave do never seek the life of Peace and Quietness. Their Life is always a Battle, a Battle for Neverending Enhancement and Improvement." Maybe, barring a few Mad Men, most of Today's Israelites forgot that and chose a life of luxury and enjoyment. Hindsight can only do so much. And needing to secure areas even places with nothing but open fields causes delays. Plus no one knowing what’s happening where. Everyone screaming into the phones for help. Getting a command structure up and going under such circumstances. Understandable the delay. Is understandable especially when happening everywhere unexpectedly at once with rockets coming at you from everywhere. Stopping the rockets had to be the priority. It sucks but that is simply the reality as it appears from this outsiders point of view.

Lieutenant Colonel Karmi is a man who is obviously in touch with God. And when the men in higher positions, who should have acted right away, and taken up arms, were as good as sleeping on the job, forgetting the commandments of God, to take the Land, and defend it, he proved to be walking in step with God’s guidance. In some cultures he would have been promoted to the head of the army, and may even have been the new chief, while the others who did not act immediately would have lost their positions.
