A good friend of mine gave me his fathers Walker that he purchased new in 2000 with 700 hrs. A remarkable machine that I will keep maintained and use for the rest of my life.
I bought my first walker a few years ago. Just sold it to get some money back in my pocket. Less than a week after I sold it I bought another. I can’t imagine life without one. Some love them, some don’t care for them, but it’s my mower of choice for my personal residential use.
Awesome! If you’re around machinery long enough, you’ll realize that there’s no perfect one for every situation. However, the Walker is closer than most.
@@barbaraepsaro2718 well I sold the other one and got 2 more. Have been buying and refurbishing them and selling. That way I always have one but can make a little money. Planning on buying one and tearing completely down and making a 2018 commemorative “clone”. The black and gunmetal looks awesome. Think that may be a sweet RU-vid build. Kinda different.
I've never heard about Walker Mowers but this story shows American entrepreneurship at its best! If I ever need to by a professional grade mower it will be a Walker mower!
Yes Walker is a great machine, on one job I use a KOBOTA belly mount, could not believe what a piece of junk, you get jerked going from forward to reverse and you can't feather the pedal for smooth operation, a sore back is the result, my walker controls are absolutely smooth in fact once I thought to go over a bit to trim out a corner, it was if the machine went over and did it, well I jumped off because it shocked me but this showed me the ease of control you have with a WALKER!
