Musician fanatism is like football fanatism, people lose the sight for their idols. it takes a few to react badly to a comment. eople need a guidance to separate their life, wishes, frustrations and social rage. Oh,God!My 11 year old daughter wrote a comment about Iron Maiden and alot of people (i don't know why) were swearing at her!My husband read them and got very mad.She is a little girl and for her age she is very kind,sweet and careening.I can't understand why people are so rude in our days?She read about the comments and she started crying.Althoug i'm a goth and my husband is into heavy metal ,we are trying to raise our kids to be good,respect everyone and be kind.
My husband just read about Mick and Simon ...ages and he said to me "oh,my God they are grandfathers,in a couple of years they will need a walking stick,ha,ha".He likes to tease me alot..my..nervous,especially with Micks surname telling me "tell Brown to make me a coffee,he must have alot on him or"my wifes favourite color is brown,from Mick Brown".But he admires him like a drummer and he admites that he is one of the bests...lol
I agree with you,my grandfather was just 44 when he had his first grandchild(not me,i am the youngest in the family).His smallest son with his granghild have the same age.They are both 55 and the one has 3 granghildren and the ather one isn't even married.
To be grandfhater at 50' is a rare privilege, some people become father at 60' :D. should say that they returned a little bit youger restarting the ancient project like "children again", and they reflect their youth towards us and we feel youger too :)

Wayne had a bottle of wine,too when i met him.It was red and sweet (he gave us some) and i promised him that i will send him some from chios greece and a bottle of suma a very strong booze,but i haven't.I hope to see him once again and give them to him.
I met him back stage after a show in Seattle in the mid-eighties at a show at the Moore theater. Throughout the show he took swigs from a bottle of "Blue Nun", which he still clutched backstage after the show. It was a great show.
i met wayne and the mission band in 2008 when they came in italy for a concert. Simon was not there obviolusly replaced by mark thwaite, I spent all the day with them since i was at noon at the palace event. Wayne was not at the top of the vocal having a bad cold so i told him to replace and playback him , we started singing and we had a good day. He was usually handind his wine bottle..In that occasion i gave him a t shirt printed on my own with all the cd labels discography of the band..:)
A great version of a classic rock track. I'm not sure it's quite up to Rodgers' version, but then again, Paul Rodgers is special. I think Simon Hinkler would concur, as I think it was him who brought this to the band. Not worse, just different, and glorious! Keep the Faith!
