The lead singer Ms. Venora Brown really did a great job singing this song! Because of Ms. Brown, I went right out and immediately bought this concert!!

I First heard this in 1994, I was struggling and without direction, but God brought me to a place where I can and have blessed the lives of many people, made disciples, and inspired many. Having Jesus in my life made the difference.

This is a different type of praise.. true praise. Ms Brown was trying to hold it back when her voice went baritone @2:38.😌 I love this song. On this day 1/5/2020; I miss my mom. 😭
My mom passed 1/1/2021. She introduced me to the Jackson Southernaires who had a fellow named Franklin D Williams in it, who would later form one the best Traditional Mass Choirs ever; The Mississippi Mass Choir.
Me too.. a fb memory of her just popped up. Almost a year of her passing, and a few days from when she fell ill. Thank You Lord honoring my request of more time with her..but i wish you had left her here with us.
After all these years this song still has significant meaning. No matter who walks away..God will never leave. He is faithful and His word is true. "I thank You for mercy, I thank You for Your grace...there is no other one that could ever take Your place!" Glory be to You God🙌🏽🎊
I can't express how much I love this song. God is so good! "I thank You for your mercy. I thank You for your grace. There is no other one who could ever take Your place. When My friends walked YOU stepped right in! You always been with me, through the thick and the thin!"
This is the BEST song of all time. I can put this song on repeat and listen all day. SEEING her sing makes it even better. I hope I can find some more of her on here. She is GREAT
Mississippi is a very special place! The soul, the spirit, the raw talent, the history of outstanding artists, musicians and athletes is amazing!!! And MISSISSIPPI MASS CHOIR is a example of that!
I like to believe that God gave Mississippi Black folks a special anointing due to the sheer hell they've experienced living in the most racist state in the country.
In these perilous times we’re living in, just having Christ there makes ALL the difference! Thank you LORD for your great faithfulness, mercy and grace! My soul truly loves you.❤️❤️❤️
I was 6 when this came out. Me at 8 years old belting out 'haaa, aaa,aa,vin you there' then me doing the part @2:36 😂 Who did I think I was??😂🤣 Her I guess. Church folks gathered around impressed by listening to our little voices. Good memories this.
This song has been in my spirit when I wake up in the morning for the last 3 days. I had to come find and play it. It never gets old. Loved this song since I was a child.🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
My dad took me to see this choir at Shiloh Baptist church in Dayton, Ohio .. i was about 12-13 years old. The choir was so massive … i stared at the drummer the whole time. lol Frank Williams was there. I’ll never forget that. RIP Dad 😢❤
❤ In memory of your Dad. Thinking of you today as well. Praying that your memories continue to shine and give you comfort! Lol @ drummer stare. I get it though. Awesome! ❤ Stay blessed
Everytime that I hear this song, it reassures me that God is ALWAYS THERE! I've been listening to it since I was 17 and I'm 48 now. Ms. Brown's voice is without question one of the best in the gospel music industry. Wherever she is I want her to know that for all of these years that I've been listening to her song, it's brought me through some hard times. God bless you Ms. Brown!
I remember my mother playing this song for me as a child and seeing her life as a real woman of God blessed my life because she gave me life and she also gave me the gift of knowing who god really is I miss you mama can't believe you are really gone and I know you are in a better place I love you mama missing you missing
Its July 31st 2024 and this song is blessing me right now. I have come to the end of long years of a challenge and Jesus has made ALL the difference. He is a healer and a deliverer. Thank you Lord!!!
Heard this this morning it brought me to tears. I’m 34 years old and haven’t heard this song since I was a little girl but somehow the words just flowed like I listened to it everyday. Train up a child and they will not depart. I miss choirs.
2:35🎶 🌩️ _"When the storms of life are raging_ ⛈️ ☁️ _and the billows are tossing high,_ 🌫️ 🙏🏾 _You gave me strength and courage_ 🛐 🫴🏾 _because You were standing by."_ ✝️🎵
I’m still listening in 2024 , they pulled me through then and they keep me on bended knees . Nothing changed I still need them to keep me remembering how HE brought me over and continue to bring me through 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
"Having You There" is one of the Miss Mass Choir's many Classics that always bless me and lift me up. I appreciate the Choir and embrace my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
