Because it's the easiest game on Xbox 360 to get a mod menu. I can get one in 30 minutes by Putting my stuff in the USB and putting a modded save game with Horizon 😂

Activision/MS really can't do anything about it unfortunately, only real way is to just make a MCC version of COD, but even then that's not safe judging by how bad Riccochet is on current COD.

Activision made the modern warfare 2 devs leave by refusing to pay them their promised money. If they do that to their strongest backbone, imagine what they care about this game. They probably want hackers to hack your pc.

i still remember a friend always playing with the "infections" he had from hacked lobbies flying around, shooting with a finger gun, 1 kill = insta prestige, super jumps, etc we kept saying to him that he needed to stop or he might get banned! He was like : nah nah its cool, ill never get banned! And then one day at a sleepover he was playing and it happend! BANNED! untilll the last day of the year 9999! That smile he had quickly turned upside down lol

They don’t need to add hack bots in the old games when people hack in the new games too. People don’t hack at this degree in the new games but they still do it.
I think it's mainly just the youngsters that don't realize they're ruining the game for everyone. I've been told by them themselves they just don't care if they make everyone quit playing because it's fun. Was so ridiculous to hear that from a teenager

This game was something else, I remember being like 8 or something and my cousin saying 'this new call of duty has zombies in it' I thought he was 100% lying until we played it together, I'm getting close to 25 now, Nacht Der Untoten will always be my favourite zombies map ever just because of this game, great and better times
It's actually sad how these older cods are being modded like this, I remember when these come out and I would watch my brother play them and when he would play with his friends and the end music to the multiplayer games. Miss those days 😪.
Ive been playing WaW online the past 2 weeks and have only run into 1 modder. Its been pure bliss playing this again over a decade later. Takes me back to staying up at 3am playing this non stop. And cant tell you how many times i beat the campaign. WaW is and will always be my favorite CoD of all time
Bruh you gotta be like 24-26 this was my first cod game too and I absolutely love this game to this day. Easily the best call of duty and such a wonderful installment in the series bringing zombies to future call of duty’s with the huge success on this game
I kinda miss the old modded lobby’s on cod4 and waw with super jump, unlimited magazines, full auto grenade launchers and max xp per kill. Go from level 1 to 55 in one game. Also 18 player free for alls on mw2. Nowadays it’s just god mode and other bullshit that ruins everyone else’s fun.
Last time I played this I got caught in a modded zombies lobby, the hacker set my score to about -2m xp meaning I can never gain any levels now so im stuck at level 1, this must've been around 10 years ago, as I'd already prestiged I can still play but it certainly took any enjoyment out the game, my friend who I was playing with at the time wasn't so lucky as he'd not pestiged and there's actually a minimum level to play multilayer it turns out.
I still play this game regularly on my RGH. One of the main reasons I have it is to derank and ban people that use godmode and noclip. I wish I could be in every WaW lobby to keep em clean but alas I do what I can. Can they use their RGH and rank back up and unban themselves? Sure, but I know it pisses em off and buys some time.

remember higher the player count the less youll run into modders, people should play games that are good like the classic cods if we can get over 100k players on cod 4 waw mw2 bo1 it would be harder to run into modders, the lower the player count the easier it is to run into modders the same goes for pc games.
Eventually the old games like this will devolve into only the modders left cause more and more are finally quitting cause of the modders getting insane.
Let’s face it, the only mods that’s acceptable is for rank. Some people just don’t have time to rank upto their past/desired rank. I for one can’t get my old acc’s back so I’m in that boat.
When I was younger I had a very vivid dream. I was playing an old western game and in it I walked into a burnt down building next to a river where an old man with a mustache said in a panic that he was fleeing to Mexico. The really weird and unexplainable part of this story is that I had that dream in 2009…. I didn’t even own a PS3 yet and Red Dead Redemption didn’t release for another year. 😮 I still tell my friends that I predicted the future in that dream 😂
I dont think we appreciated World At War back when it released because it was seen as just a skin on top of COD4 and more people were playing COD4 back then including myself but over time we can all see how this game was a masterpiece. The atmosphere including the announcers and music was just spectacular and it really gave this game a horror like feel. The gameplay was also great and I enjoyed the gunplay and the maps.
Man it's so fun for me when you talk about CoD and dreams when one of my latest CoD dream was watching you with my fam in the dining room, getting a KEM strike in CoD Ghost, and you saying how was possible that you got it. 😆 So unfort what's happening to WaW thanks to the modders, it seems that PS3 is more cleaner that Xbox in this one.
For me on steam, it's only like 2 severs that have mods. I wish the servers were more populated. Plutonium doesnt help as those servers are less populated. Edit: I got the ps3 version and I love it has more players
Hey Fortunate. I still play this game on a regular basis. The best time I found to play is between 10pm- midnight ET. Very few hackers and probably 3-5 lobbies on a week night. Can be as many as 7-8 on a weekend
I mean…when we stray further away from these old cods, the more hackers there will be. So I don’t see what’s surprising about there being modders ruining the game, they’ve been ruining the game ever since the early 2010s.
I use to always dream I hit the lottery when I was younger and bought a big property for my family to live at. also remember dreaming about hitting master prestige on black ops 2 with my friend who lived next door to me.
Honestly im surprised they haven't introduced a monthly subscription service to access older call of duty online services, because in this case I think it could actually work if they would provide anti cheat updates.
I don't even bother playing the older COD's bc it's just modded lobbies after another. And yes I have dreamed about me playing Black Ops again with my friends back when it was still popular.
I’ve played with you/against you before, I’ve played WAW weekly at least for the past year. I am glad it has such a cult following that keeps it alive. I never struggle to find a game
a few months ago when i was playing on 360 there wasn't too many hackers, don't really want to play world at war again though because the hit detection is god awful.
Honestly think we could sue Activision for the neglect they give to these old games. They iconic parts of gaming history and they should be protected and available for everyone to play.
Is there anyone that knows what’s wrong with my MW2? I try to get into a game and on the map loading screen the game freezes every time when it says “Waiting for players”. I’ve already uninstalled and reinstalled and still doesn’t work. I’m on Xbox Series S
They need to put these games on gamepass and completely remove the 360 players for matchmaking. Cant think of any other way for them to get rid of modders especially on a 360 hardware thats been modded to hell
Those trickshotters are cringe. I get locking the lobby, but doing TDM sky barrier shots is trash lmao. Just play reg SnD and go for bounces and shit, that's what I did in 2017/18 when all I'd play is WaW. New gens are weird.
WaW is my favourite CoD of all time. The sights, the sounds, the feeling … the analog experience it’s all just so fun. The biggest win of all would be a re-mastered version of this game❤
Disappointing to see the state of the game on console. The PC version is still going but isn't very populated in the EU. In North America on the other hand you have a few more options. The communities are great with active admins on servers they host/pay for themselves so cheating shouldn't be an issue if you pick the right server. Hopefully, this game will survive for many more years.
