Been soloing quests so far after my first few ragefire chasim groups not particularly interested in the early / semi late adopters doing dungeons. Might do some in the 40s or 50s but currently can't be bothered with catering to 2-3 other peoples short attention spans and complete group disbanning rather than passing it on to the few who were in it for the Long haul.
I'm a druid, and I try to not kill low level horde players. Except mages. Because i assume they are like alliance mages, and they make a good substitute
Huntards = retards being carried by pet and kill u becauce they can, most of time easy and stupid ppl... but mages... they have EGO and think they know everything best and ignore others, fuck mages fuck huntards
Lol ye. I always form groups with Round Robin rules on the orbs. Makes it the fairest it can be..sometimes you have to give first orb to a tank.to get them.to run it
@@Chironex_Fleckeri Luckily, there are still people who understand what it means to be fair. I know a bunch of tanks who don't feel like they're entitled to more loot just because they're the tank. They roll on loot fair and square, same as the rest of us. Those are the guys the continue to give me hope for Classic.

When I was roaming through Tanaris on my mage, just trying to get some quests done, I kept getting whispers every few mins to join a ZF spellcleave run. Eventually, I just took to trolling people and telling them I was running a fire/arcane spec and not the frost aoe specc. It was downright funny trying to see some people wrap their head around the concept of a non frost mage.
Yup, Shaman are relegated exclusively to healing, despite the various benefits they bring as Enhance and Resto. You'd think most people knowing what to do would relax the requirements a little, especially for raiding, but if anything they're ever more anal about it now; they barely grasp the concept that an Enhancement Shaman buffs all of the Warriors and Rogues, or Elemental buffs caster DPS.

Until you get killed by enhancers.. Enhancer are really 50/50 especially when they kill themselves on me with spell crits.
I was doing the melee cleave groups with my shaman friend and let him have the first ravager axe since I already had the WW axe. I just loved having his windfury totem. It didn't take too long for me to get my own ravager axe. I did have one guy try to bully my friend into healing so we just found a different person to join our group. After that I had a few healer bros that wanted to run cath for their gear so we did that.
Just yesterday in cathedral, a mage told the tank to pull more than two mobs, so he pulled the entire fucking courtyard. The mage quit. But the 4 of us (not so much me) melted the mobs and all the bosses anyway. Awesome teammates, thanks for helping me get my sword of omen
These magecleave runs in Cath is complete fail. Ran some to see what was the big deal. The mages kept getting slow casted on them making them wipe about 5 times. They eventually got the timing down but you realized the run was just as slow if not slower than doing a regular run. The mages would waste all their mana doing Blizzard that after killing maybe 1-2 groups they would just sit and drink with healer. The same time it took a regular group to take out 2-3 groups on the regular that didn't need to drink. Oh and warriorcleave runs are even worst. They lose all their health every pull doing miniscule damage.
That along with it not really being classic are what made me just choose to ignore it. On top of it not even being the same game everyone and their grandmother is meta-gaming.
@@darzeon Now your faction reputation sucks, can't use quest addon without entire map filled with markers, have 0 profession skill unless enchanter/tailor and were bored out of your mind for 2+ weeks of grinding the same dungeons over and over whilst forcing your friends to be online all the time and you have all likely quit the game because you don't know any tanks and are in a zerg guild. Enjoy retail.
@@cattysplat you wish it was like that, alchemy and herb at 300 by the time I finished leveling, not in a guild, didn't do dungeons with friends, just randoms from the LFG. Was mostly prebis when I finished as well, reputations are all at honored+ actually it took around 10 days, rather than "two weeks+", took some days off for that tho, and by the time you poor soul rich 60 I'll be nailing you in pvp. Again I feel sorry for you, didn't mean to offend anyone with comment, just showing you that you can save a shit load of time. Stop spreading misinformation, just watch a 10 min RU-vid guide or mage streamer, and you will see how wrong you are.
@@wowgrauerdavid1999 To be fair, I'm a tank who plays with a healer and I'm not ahead of the curve. I'm playing with the people who have jobs, kids, and lives now, and only have a few hours or so every other day to play. In other words, I think it depends on the crowd you run with.
I always laugh when I see a dps yell for more toons for group and say loot reserved. I rolled tank and my wife rolled heals. I start the same group no reserve.
Back in Wrath some kid got an ICC raid going. It was only when we started that he said, "Oh Yeah, and such and such is on reserve" I forget what the item or items were, but basically everyone bailed an reformed without him.
@@captainobvious9233 maybe those items were the tradeable ones (those who can be sold to other players in the auction house if you don't equip them). One time my raid leader said in the loot rules that those items were reserved for his guild, everyone left the raid group lol. Fuck loot reservers
Lol, the warlock tank. When I tank as a druid I specifically invite them because of their voidwalker minion, they're really good because it's like having another cc, those voidwalkers are like nokia phones. I even put a thorns and mark of the wild buff on them before going in.
This video hit me hard. I played WoW back in 2005 and SM Graveyard, Library, Armory, and Cathedral, were my favorite dungeons, and when I was finally able to do Graveyard in classic, I was honestly so excited! but then... I realized what was happening. If you weren't a Mage, Warlock, or Holy Priest, you weren't going to find a group easily. Despite the countless players doing SM within the first week, it still took me 2 hours to find a group. Don't get me wrong, I was a Frost-Mage, but I didn't want to simply blast through a dungeon for mass XP, I wanted to enjoy it and acquire some blues! but every group I got into just wanted to mass farm XP for several hours... and then do it again in the next dungeon. It was terrible!
Played a resto druid, bear tank, and warrior tank/dps and always instantly found groups, especially for SM. Either you're on the wrong realms or need to just make your own parties.
Unless you want to become a loot goblin once every week then you got to find out how to make your own fun, your only telling yourself you have to play the way everyone else expects but the most fun you have in games is when you do something abnormal with friends and just have a good time. If you keep this mindset then you might as well play single player story driven games.
Love playing mage in MC. The groups go down through a balance use of talisman + arcane power, with a mixup of frostbolt, blizzard, arcane explosion, fireblast, goblin sapper and cone of cold. not to mention the decursing. Love it
Doesn't matter. For years people whined to bring back vanilla because the game was inherently better and required better community interaction. Now they're being proven wrong. Vanilla was never better because of how the game functioned, it was because it was the first really big MMO and people worked together to figure out how to play it because nobody knew how to play MMOs yet.
HamsterWheel predicted this. People simply didn't believe him: "oh, that's just the retail mentality, Classic will be full of people who simply enjoy the game, they won't be obsessed with BiS BS"... look what really happened.
KingLich ... you do realise that streamers aren’t the cause of all the worlds problems? It’s just people being people, it would still happen whether or not streamers went around doing it too because the internet is way better now than it was back then, “metafags” will always be prevalent
All the warriors asking for tanks whilst needing on every weapon gives me extreme cancer. Put on a shield and you'd be in the goddamn dungeon already. Classic tanking is simple af and people need to stop being scared, you can even learn how to lead a group and gain some confidence.
"LF1M DPS BRD then GTG" me: "hey buddy, I'm a 55 War and I need to do the Ony attunement quest, please invite me" - "Sorry pal, we are full now". Literally 30 secs later: "LF1M DPS BRD then GTG".
I was having a blast playing classic until a few days in when I realized that it was basically impossible to have fun because of the really elitist toxic mentality of full mage and/or full cleave parties. And the worst is that I played shaman which is normally one of the most popular classes for groups. I'd love to go back to classic but I think my poor shaman will forever stay lvl 40 bored from the mage only mentality. That just ruined classic, period.
Kathraxx...hero of the Alliance and noble paladin of the holy zeal, savior of Westfall and Redridge, and slayer of Hoggor, terror of Elwindyn. A noble man, a fierce warrior, but a brittle mind. Succumbing to madness, Kathraxx lay waste to the inner cities of Stormwind, disappearing into the night, screaming and begging for groups...they say that in the dark of night, Elwindyn forest comes to life with his screams...daring any foolish adventurer to invite him to a party. Of course...that is just a story, right?
after lvling as a priest, and doing 3 mc clears i realized nobody was playing with the classic mentality, its just all modern players wanting nostalgia. switched to archage unchained re-release
I can accept being passed by all other classes, but what I WILL NOT STAND FOR is a pathetic gnome getting a spot over my Golden Greek God of a human specimen.
I never did public requests for people. I would scroll through /who for level ranges and classes I wanted or could use (trying not to stack too many of the same loot priority at once; really hard with clothies) and just whispered random people out questing until one said yes.
Meanwhile I have literally been running dungeons with shaman tanks and no mages and it's been smoother than these bullshit aoe farm groups lol. This new "Most Effective Tactic Available" really isn't a meta when people can't even execute it right.
Meh, that's the problem almost with any game. META. Person goes to twitch/youtuber sees what he does and copies it. Essentialy losing his own game expirience for doing something slightly more effective. Not sure what's the point to play in the first place.
@@blacklight4720 how dare people try to optimize their play time and do something waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better for xp, when we have to lvl up for days
If you played Vanilla originally and know what you're doing, saving time is all well and good. If you've never played it before...why are you spamming dungeons to max level? Vanilla was never about the endgame. Leveling is equally a part of the entire experience as level 60 content is. By not doing the quests, or professions, or exploring, you're effectively pigeonholing yourself into the same 2 raids right now. And you can't AoE raid trash down. Have fun wiping your group when you don't know mechanics because your entire MO for 40 levels was Blizzard. In Retail, endgame is the focus but people seem to forget that this is classic. There is no rush, so why rush? Doing the same strategy and arguing over loot can't be enjoyable.
Players change times change player today are more directed at competing rather than doing stuff for the fun of it. Many see competing as the "fun" and it's okay doesn't have the best place in Classic but it was to be expected that players won't be like in 2006
There is nothing wrong with reserving gear. IF you make a group to find a specific piece of armor or gear, then you have the right to reserve that specific piece. If you don't want to join in on that, don't join that group then.
I've made it my personal quest and with the help of KoS addons hate list to avoid Loot reservers, or join loot reserved groups. ''Oh sorry I don't wanna run 100 instances for my gear bud, cry about it'' Oh so you think everyone else want to? Or you some kind of special snowflake that mom never said no to? I feel like loot reserving is such a toxic behaviour that came with the people playing retail. Never have I seen such toxic behaviour and or SELFISH behaviour be in WoW. Idk why but it triggers me greatly, and I've made it to 60, got almost all my MC and Ony gear avoiding these people. I have no clue what kind of crude individual you have to be to make loot reserved as you look for content with other people who probably does the instance for the same reason you do. I'm a healer, and I make my own groups, and you have fun trying to find a tank, or any dps to farm Angerforge with as you reserve the HoJ. Meanwhile, I still see you looking in Lfg while Im on my third run of instance.
I see so many threads on /classicwow complaining about being called a dick for reserving gear. They always say it's "not fair I have to do so many runs to get gear, only to lose rolls." That's part of the game. How entitled do you have to be to think you deserve gear over other people running the instance with you? On the other hand, got into an Arena/Anger run with Tank Warrior(leader), DPS Warrior, Mage, and my priest healing the other day. The leader says he's done 40+ runs for HoJ, but no drops yet. 3 runs in, it drops, he loses the roll to the DPS Warrior. He still throws a "gratz" in party chat. The DPS Warrior says he'll stick around for a couple more runs to pay off his luck. Next run, HoJ drops again, and so does Ban'Thok for the mage. Karma is real. Don't be a dick and reserve gear.
@@1234millerz karma isn't real. He could have been there 80 more times before seeing a 3% drop just as likely. How about this? Don't join a group that's reserving an item you need if you need it. How entitled do YOU have to be not to accept that any given group must not necessarily be for you?
@@mihaisereanu9455 Cool, I got someone on the hook. Just to pick your mind: Is someone who has done 80 runs more deserving of an item than someone who has done it 8 times? No spin, man, just want your honest opinion.
The one who's done 80. Always. And if you don't think so, I'm sorry to hear you value your time so little. But the real answer is: the one who's putting the group together. Because if I'm making a group for the purpose of farming a 3% drop, I'm not letting in 2+ other strangers that could take it. Give me any reason why I should..
@@mihaisereanu9455 Follow-up question: Would you like WoW Classic better if, every time you cleared a new dungeon, you were guaranteed to get every BiS item there?
"Classic is so much better than Retail. At least we are not farming instances and the journey to 60 is meaningful" And here comes the aoe mage farming that "ruins" the journey.
Yeah it's very unfortunate to see how things are progressing, this video is obviously a few months old. Funnily enough, I think the best explanation is "not enough scrubs" anymore. We laughed at them, hated them at times, but the newbies was what made the game feel populated and alive. The people running up inspecting everyone with even one epic, the people somehow stuck at level 30 for an eternity, people living on the high of getting their first blue weapon and bragging to everyone, the people filling general with questions you've known the answer to for ages. Everyone is so damn efficient now.
The people who are super picky and obnoxious about their groups aren't worth your time. I just grab whoever and start my own, seems to get the job done just fine.
These days there aren't even groups. It goes more like this. "PAYING 10G MAGE TO SM BOOST ME" "PAYING 16G FOR MARA BOOSTS" "LOOKING FOR ZG BOOSTS" LF5M UBRS, RANGED DPS PREFF, TRUESTRIKE ON RESERVE, NO MORE ROGUES, WANT KEY, PREF SUMMONS". *nobody responds* "...this is a dead game with no content."
