Yeah Justin they changed it. Thermals COMPLETELY ingnores smoke now. Most likely a bug atm. But they did remove engine smoke on thermals so the annoying thermals in the gunner/commander sight for the Stryker is way better now.

@@Agm1995gamer Honestly I think 6.7 would be better. M-51 is capable of fighting 6.7 and historically they also fought against T54/55 and T62s and were able to score kills despite heavy losses.

They didnt do its transmission justice so its slower than a Type 90 despite rl sources and videos proving otherwise. Armor is worse than 2nd dev server values so they took another step backwards on the Type 10. All the side composite armor is missing.

type 10 only has good armor with the add on package which isnt modeled in game

@@medic6039 the add on package is exactly that: *Add-On*. It is suppose to have armor that stops its own Type 10 APFSDS from as close as 250m on a 30 degree frontal arc. The 48t package would have more armor than this and would probably increase that to a 60 degree arc with additional protection for the sides and allow for protection of ranges maybe up to 150 to 200m.

How a 44 ton tank have that much armor. It has no composite armor in turret side. They just storage boxes. But the type 10 is very beautiful

@@ironhide_1012 there are thin side composites from what i read on the forums. And the tank is tiny compared to other nations tanks so 44t is actually possible. That and it now covering as large a protection arc that other NATO MBTs do. The sides were suppose to stop up to 30mm apds from what was posted

They got some interesting top tier tanks that can be quite good at top tier like the 99A and 96B or even the VT4. The type 99 II and III right now are just worse T72B3s and what's the point of grinding for it?

@@ryanhewett1820 lmao can you imagine how bad china would get it if even japan's highly researched vehicle is this incorrect. The Type 10 forum megathread has all the information and more regarding the performance of the type 10 but they still have copied and pasted all of the Type 90's turret stats, given it incorrect armor and angle profiles, didnt model its transmission properly or come up with a compromise to fit WT's system, no hydropneumatic suspension on the rear axles, and so many more. At this point just call it what it is, a downgrade from a type 90 in everything but optics and penetration.

Great update content as always. And it looks like they fixed the thermals seeing through IR smoke thankfully. I wonder if they were trying to fix the bug where you can sometimes see through smoke when someone uses 2 smokes in quick succession, and then maybe had it backfire.

quick question, as you used rang finder to measure what range is the distance/enemy is, does it like automatically elevation the sight distance or there's a buttons to do the quick-automatically-elevation thing? ( sorry i got surprise to see it automatically put at the exact distance as you used rang finder)

It does it automatically. Most if not all LRF will do that, but it is certain all top tier vehicles have this capability.

You can raise the suspension to the max, then depress the front to get a lot more depression than if you started from normal height btw

The type 10 lost 6 tons but the armor nearly doubled. I personally don't mind the type 10 having no armor in trade for firepower and mobility but it's still dumb that this thing has worse armor than a type 90 by far

Oh man this thing is bugged as hell and incorrect. Almost looks like they just copied stats from the Type 90 and left it at that. Just one example being the vertical guidance right now it is copy paste from the Type 90 when it should be -12/+15. And knowing gaijin even that might take a year before it's fixed let alone everything else...

SEPV3 has the exact same weakspots as any other abrams so a neck shot is a kill most of the time, 2a7 is a 122 with a lolpen round in a nutshell, challenger 3 is a bad joke since it still has all the problems the challenger 2 has, in war thunder it will barely make if any difference since the playstyle of the type10 is going to be the same along the gameplay of top tier

It's armour was completely removed... The Turret should be immune to JM33. And the cheeks should resist Type 10 APFSDS at 250m instead gajin basicly removed everything armour wise it had on the 1st dev server...

That was dev 1 3bm60 can pen 60% turret in release and there's a large hole between turret and UFP line where armor is nonexistent. TBH it looked like they hit the far edge of the turret where there is nothing.

Only Germany and the US can penetrate type10 easily and others need to aim accurately and be the first person to shoot otherwise you will die due to 4sec reload and the thickness of amour type 10

@L Basically on point for what can be found, best info we have indicates the mantlet, cheeks, and parts of UFP can stop it's own shell at 250m at best. Right now it's model in game is generally super inconsistent ranging from 300-700mm protection vs kinetic to the cheeks in protection analysis

@@Ko_Kasumi Type 10 upper hull is same thickness all the way. It can stop type 10 at 250m. The 48t add armor to lower hull and it can stop type 10 at 250m.

I get that its probably for balance, but the armour seems way too low for such a modern tank. Even given its weight you'd except better protection, the armour package (apparently) weighs more than the type90's, using far greater technology.
