Congratulations Crawley absolutely brilliant. Finally back where you belong. Brilliant Vlog as usual and hope your voice improves in time for the FA cup final next week where hopefully another team in red will be successful 😂🤞
@@clax19 By turning up for one game in the season, obviously. I know of several loyal supporters, there week in week out, who couldn't get a ticket for the home leg of the MK game after the website crashed. If you only turn up when the success has already largely been achieved, and won't go back if they're losing, then you're plastic. Whilst I was at the game I overheard a woman in front of me talking about trying to sell tickets on, and it was her first time at a game! That's a plastic, only there for a bit of hype and completely selfish reasons. The opposite of a plastic is being there to support the team through thick and thin. Kind of surprised I've had to explain this tbh.
@@wilko871 I can agree with you on some points, especially the tickets. you're always going to get scalpers when big games are on. However, it was a momentous day for the club and town. When you see plastic, I see eighteen thousand people getting behind their team. Parents taking their kids to see their first game. It was a good day out for everyone who lives in Crawley. Yes, the atmosphere wasn't great but the turnout was fantastic. Would you prefer the average Broadfield turnout of 3000 loyal fans at Wembley?
@@clax19 Tbh mate my comment was largely in response to the mention of plastics in the video, and I was actually really happy to see the town coming together like that. It was a bit annoying, I don't mind people not joining in, but some folk were looking at me like I was mental for chanting and cheering the team on. One woman looked particular annoyed that I was being too noisy for her 😂 It did actually cross my mind that the atmosphere would have been better with just 3-5 thousand regulars behind the goal, but there will be a new generation of fans coming through now, and the club really needs it. Regardless, it was a great day out and an amazing result!
Can I point out the singing area was circled before the game. You were nowhere near it. Everyone around you were not week in week out home and away singing crawley fans. They were in and around the safe standing zone.
I expected from the attendance that not everyone would be week in week out fans, and we struggled to get those early tickets so its understandable but still a little surprised. Still though, it’s great to see that many people out backing Crawley!
The main reason the atmosphere was awful, apart from irregulars being there, was that the "singing area" was almost silent throughout. We needed those fans to get things going, and they just didn't.
@@cgibson-yg4mg It was. It's noisier at Broadfield with 4k fans on a regular Saturday afternoon. It doesn't matter though, they won and people went home happy 👍
