He literally pointed forward to play on, as Haaland was making the pass, then when he saw City were going to go 1v1 with the Keeper, stopped play. That is crazy.
The Premier League's refereeing this season has been absolutely atrocious. How are the refs so incompetent and how are they still allowed to mess up important fixtures with their poor judgements? Unbelievable!
you think it’s simply because they have poor officiating? no dude they’re just corrupted af most of these refs gamble money on these games and since they’re refs can potentially fix the game to their favor for more money
Fun fact, this is the same judge who assaulted Liverpool against Tottenham, he should at least be investigated for result corruption and banned from football, a terrible referee, he was already removed for error. now it needs to be banned
I can’t understand how no one is really talking about this in more outrage. I am an arsenal fan but that looks like straight up corruption or match fixing. He said play on and then when grealish was away on goal he decided to reverse the decision?!? Wtf? How can that not be some premeditated desire to screw city .
You can tackle him ir his teammate he will ignore but if you deny a goal for his team this is what he does this means a lot for him im very impressed by this boy
You've just mentioned something I was hardly aware of. Haaland puts team first. He has been fouled many times, but I've never seen him this angry, though, as a Liverpool fan, I don't always watch Man City games. But for the few I've seen, including when City is playing against us, I've never seen Haaland this angry, and I understand his anger, but I wasn't aware it was the same ref who denied Luiz Diaz a goal, until I saw it in these comments.
Initially, the referee signaled to play on after Haaland fell and got back up, but the referee immediately stopped the game when Haaland made a good pass that led to a one-on-one opportunity with the goalkeeper.
i think you will find that is with two hand arms stretched out not one , but he did raise his arm to call a foul and pointed in that direction. I think the ref just made a mistake and got mixed up
People when they're too insecure and try to bash on people who call football differently instead of accepting that different cultures sometimes call different sport with different name and be cool about it:
I remember with Liverpool game, he disallowed our goal claiming it was offside without checking.. So what we experience is what other teams have experienced
I think if this kind of mistakes are recurrent then the ref should be demoted. if a perskn keep doing real bad decisions at their work eventually they will be fired so...
This doesn't look like a mistake. Unless this referee has a sensible explanation for why he brought play back after signaling he was playing advantage, I'm far more inclined to view this as match fixing.
Unreal a ref should be the one making sure the game goes according to everything that happens within those minutes, dont know why hes in the premier league when obvious he doesnt watch the sport
It's not the first dodgy decision by Hooper. It won't be the last. Let's not forget all the good calls City have had in both league and Europe. Swings and roundabouts. They get enough help not being relegated for 100+ charges when Everton got docked for one charge. 😂 🤦🏻♂️
@@azizniz445 😂 your comment literally made no sense. You've learned a new phrase and wanted to use it regardless of its meaning. Not only did I not cry, I made an observation and LAUGHED. Fool.
This was a really bad decision as the ref had clearly waved play on and City were through. Unfortunately, the ref could not then correct this gross error.
As a united fan I can say that the ref clearly waved play on then when he realised city were through on goal blew for a foul. One of The most blatant displays of cheating by a referee I’ve ever seen. Shocking.
Simon Hooper need to be investigated as this is 2nd times he made crucial decision favoring Spurs. The 1st time during match Spurs vs Liverpool (Diaz disallowed goal, doubtful Jota red card).
This is the second I have seen this guy mess up important matches. Liv vs Tottenham, Luis Diaz goal called offside, 2 red cards . And then City vs Tottenham again. I am surprised to hear that he won't face any penalty.
Hooper did it for Spurs against Liverpool, and now he does it for the same team against Manchester City. Maybe it's about time his bank account got investigated. First it was Luiz Diaz goal, and now Grealish's potential goal.
Refereeing in the PL has been absolutely crap, biggest and best league in the world with referees like these, madness same with a game west ham played earlier this season
Far better to be a "tap-in merchant" like Erling Haaland than the line fluffing merchant that is Mykhalio Mudryk. Remind me again, how much did Mudryk cost Chelsea?
This always happens with Tottenham First, lorrente in 2019 then Luis Diaz now grealish Then it always goes their way Edit: For those saying that I said that Tottenham are the victims that was wrong Sorry if I worded things wrongly but basically these controversial decisions happens in Tottenham games and are an advantage to Tottenham
An Australian coach getting the best of the slickest manager in Europe in the home of Guardiola speaks volumes of the influence this enigmatic Aussie coach has upon his players. Does this man even understand the meaning of fear? The lack of fear he has instilled in his players is nothing short of mind boggling!!
The refs in most of the games this weekend were alike. Even the Chelsea Brighton game. I feel that referees are matchfixing without the teams actually knowing it. Is it coincidence that this weekend was “so entertaining “ with underdogs winning and pulling off draws, or the better team winning in the dying seconds. Money money money 🎉🎉
Sure bud , keep crying with your Spurs DNA , big time loser club , how many matches have the refs helped ? Chelsea vs Spurs was such a great match seeing you guys taste your own medicine
Match fixed, ref said play with his arm sign then he saw the danger he stops it pure match fixing not just only this match but all League games at that moment was fixed.
These sort of errors do happen a lot but it appears worse as it was at end of match. Besides theres no guarantee Grealish wouldve scored and maybe Davies would have tackled him.
But it doesn't matter whether grealish scores or not , but stopping the game because of a dumb ass Human error is a problem , he can't keep getting away with pooor decisions like this
The same mancity complaining is the same city that breaches fifa rules infact city is the reason premier league is losing its sweetness....Tottenham outsmarted them period!
The referee must clearify what happens, in Italy referees at least do that woth public declarations and we have also access to VAR audio for this kind of situations, anyways I don't think he will do big matches again
