Atraks took my team right around 2 hours and in believably we figured it out and finished the encounter before redeem. We were on pace for worlds first and we are just a group of friends in highschool. Sadly we got stuck on shaniks for 8 grueling hours, we were convinced that xenophage was the move until I doubled my damage with anarchy/sniper. We beat it 2 tries after that with a 14hr 32m 7s clear. 1,728th in the world out of millions of other teams is pretty cool. Already passed scourge for my favorite raid.

@@Kebbie01 I went in with an inexperienced team and only 2 people who sorta knew what to do. Tanika was hard but we got him in like an hour. If it’s taking you nine hours on a boss that takes 5 mins, then that’s really a stupid waste of time. No offense but find the loose link in your team and kick em. Nine hours is absolutely ridiculous

I didn't buy the new expansion for the game this year. The past expansions made me more interested in other games. The love is, and will always be there still. Watching this section in the race for the first raid clear made my jaw drop. It gave me goosebumps. And it made me realize that Destiny is more than just the gameplay. The astonishing atmosphere of this game is remarkable. To have such a serene moment in a chaotic race for the world's first, or just the raid itself is art in itself. Up until this year, I've played Destiny since 2014. Thanks for this upload, @Aztecross, I'll keep it in a special folder so I can remember it.

Deep Stone Crypt is now my favorite destiny two raid. The lore, the environment, the encounter design, and the blood, sweat, and tears me n the boys shed in the 13 hours it took to beat it. Just an incredible experience, I don't think I've been this excited about and in love with destiny since traveling into the replication complex and destroying Sivafied Aksis back in D1

I agree, I'm extremely glad I took part in this. I haven't cared to day one any raids since Wrath. My favorite overall was King's Fall but this entire experience was incredibly special. Bungie really nailed the difficulty of this raid for the day one contest mode.

The track is the same one that plays when you're in orbit I think, really beautiful. Has a nice sci-fi theme to it which, despite being a sci-fi themed game, destiny lacks a lot of.

I remember the first time I listened to the Beyond Light Soundtrack and came across that song. "Deep Stone Lullaby" is one of the most beautiful and unique songs Bungie have added to this franchise. It's haunting, futuristic and really nails the aesthetic of a long lost secret lab where the dreams of thousands of people transfered from man to machine. Beautiful and tragic.

In my opinion the Deep Stone Crypt is the best raid bungie ever made. The encounters are all very good and the jumping part just makes it better. I have 7 clears right now and my fireteam is still turning up the music and during this part no one is talking and we all just listen to the music and enjoy the atmosphere

This part is for real an exceptional mix of atmospherical, environmental and musical nerdgasm! The music is awesome, mixed with the vastness and the emptiness of the vacuum of space and looking down at Europa with the AI speaking about the wonders the Brays did and the capabilities of that space station makes you wonder what lies beyond the known universe in our reality to be honest. At least that's how I feel. Destiny may have a lot of problems, but if there's one thing Bungie knows how to do right is making us feel like we're there, in that place, experiencing all of that.

I haven't even played it, but this is probably my favorite raid transition pieces in Destiny. We've done space missions before, but not like this. The small details in it being slightly rickety, the story intro voice, or even the slightly muffled sound of your weapons firing. It's simple, but untouchable and still leaves you in wonder. That music with the atmosphere- God at times like this it'd be nice if they had a "Holster your weapon" option

I had so many feelings and emotions flow through me the first time I experienced this I almost cried. I remember being pretty burned out after atraks. Once I experienced this though, I felt completely rejuvenated and nothing was going to make me quit. I played the raid again last night after almost a year and I felt the same feeling I did the first time through. This raid and game are amazing.

After clearing Atraks after about 5 hours or so, this moment was so calming and beautiful (kinda wish there weren’t any enemies until you get to the other airlock so you could just take in the scene and scope, but eh, no big deal) to see. My team was just awestruck with the view, and the music made it so much better. Bungie never fails with the visuals and sound design. And I’m glad Deep Stone Crypt was one we finally managed to finish day 1.

So my team finally got past the dreaded Atraks and we were hyped, then we got to a door and someone said to turn music on to max and disable comms. I had no idea what was about to happen. The doors opened and the spacewalk began with this awesome music. It just fit this so perfectly stepping outside this vast space station. It was reinvigorating after such a chaotic encounter. It was a short experience but it just left such a huge impression on me. Now every time I run this, I very much look forward to this part of the raid every time.

Idk if it’s just me, the first time I went through this jumping puzzle, the field of view made me lose balance in my head. I’m over here tripping balls cause of looking down/up or right/left. Not to mention the song. This jumping puzzle made me feel so small to the observable universe. & I mean REAL small.

This is one of my favorite parts of any raid. Deep Stone wasn't anything special to me until we went up an elevator into space. Now, it's seriously slowly becoming my all time favorite raid. I love the futuristic feeling, the augments, the enemy bosses, and basically anything and everything to do with the Orbital Base.

Did my first DSC run this week. The sherpa said that it is very important not to speak a word after we step into the space. I didn't understand why at the start. But boy it was amazing!

Watching this for the first time after beating atraks makes that whole struggle worth it. Wearing headphones you feel as if you’ve entered space. Everything goes more quiet. It’s totally an out of body experience

Maybe some day would be able to make ships like this some day and travel to space like this this is why i love destiny so much
