I love Steve Tyler, but Liv’s mother made the absolute right decision. Steve Tyler could hardly take care of himself in those days much less a child. He readily admits to his addictions and bad behavior back then. If LIV had been made to try to have a relationship with him then, I doubt they would have one now. Better that she came to know him after he got in better shape. I wish that family nothing but love and happiness.!!!!
I was a huge fan. He lived in New York. My girlfriend and I left flowers and a note. We were so excited as we watched him pick up the flowers and read the note. Ah the joys of being Sixteen.
I was led to believe that Bebe intimated to Todd that Liv was "probably" his, and he was deeply hurt when Liv and Steven "found" each other, as Liv had thought Todd was her father. Side note, when my husband and I ran into our son's bio dad, bio dad came straight up to my husband and shook his hand, thanking him for raising my son (as he never had the emotional ability to).

That's such a Beautiful Real Life Story. I'm happy for both Live and Steven Tyler for being able to connect. What Emotions she must've gone through! I'm a Big fan of both Steven Tyler & Aerosmith (I was a Singer in the 70' & 80's and I sang Aerosmith Songs) and Todd Rundgren. I saw Todd in Cincinnati Ohio in 1989. I saw Aerosmith at Woodstock 94 in Upstate New York. Both were better than I could have ever Imagined Live in Concert!

Yeah, considering when Tyler was 26 (on drugs) dated an underage girl that he fell in love with. & got the mother to let him be her guardian so she could go on tour with him to concerts. Got her pregnant. & then made her get an abortion after she survived an fire in their apartment. Tyler was out doing a concert at the time of the fire??
Wow what an amazing story. Tod was also an amazing man. I feel like a lot of men would selfishly not want to take her to see her dad. I mean cause Tod was her father and loved her and probably had so many fears for Liv. Also for himself but instead he repeatedly took her to see him and prepare her to one day deal with this news. He probably was afraid Steven Tyler could hurt her at the time being not in a good place ect but he was unselfish and a great caring father. Im also so happy that she and Steven Tyler have been so close ever since too. Awesome to see so much love when disfunction is usually the norm when it comes to these difficult situations. Amazing.
But the money and fame involved is a nice lure. And honestly....the fantasy seems strong in her. Like....the "sparkle" between them. She has a fantasy of what their bond is. Because she was looking for that bond with her bio. She didn't think about the man who raised her cause when they got to know each other she didn't want the rules and dad figure.
Imagine if she just came up with this in her head, and everyone around her didn't have the heart to tell her she was wrong and he wasn't actually her father, so they all just went along with it to make her feel better, as though she actually had found her father.

I found my biological father using DNA. He didn’t know about me but welcomed me into his life. I totally get what Liv says about the feelings you get when you first find out and meet, although she already knew him. It’s magical and hard to explain the feelings.
