Could you get Chiko a friend? Having two cats is very little work, and not much more expensive than just having one. She would be less lonely, they would play together, and you would love watching them! She is so adorable. I think you should get her a little male kitten playmate. Think about it!
@Sphodie It is better to introduce cats slowly, through a closed and then slightly open door, feeding them each on their own side but knowing the other is near. Cat Man Chris at Cole and Marmalade has a RU-vid video about it. Good luck!
@@humungousRat hi! So happy you got a kitten. So many need homes. What Erin said is good advice. Try to keep in separate rooms in beginning until they get used to each other's scent. The family cat may be very territorial. Most all cats hiss at each other in beginning. I would bring kitten in room with family cat along with treats and/or a toy they both can play with. This reinforces a positive experience when they are around each other. Then separate again. Separate litter boxes, too. Slowly increase time together, then leave door open. Most cats will become friends after a week or two. I've only seen a problem if very old cat has rambunctious kitten introduced which might cause older cat to be scared and not want to play. But I've also seen older cats become like a parent and very loving to kitten. There are a lot of good videos about it on RU-vid. Check out Kitten Lady.
Also, it's better to introduce cats when they're young, say, up to 18 months. As they get older they're more set in their ways and territorial. Like us!
The cat is cute and grown beautifully. They normally sleep all day and play when the human slave is back. As they aged they get lonely and cried when left by human slave .. all day. If off the light and go to bed by 10 pm every night. Then chill will get a habit of sleeping at 10pm.
Chiko is rubbing and marking her territory purring loudly showing you her belly and nibbling on your hand! Yep 👍🏻 She truly and honestly loves her dad!! Haha, I had thought the same in the first video. This is because in Spanish the names that end in the letter o are masculine and "Chico" in Spanish, which sounds the same, means boy, but he is Japanese. We don´t know the meaning of Chiko in Japanese. I would like to know.

@@marisadam12 Well, actually Japanese female names typically end with 'ko,' and male names typically end with 'o' from the chinese character means 'male.' The female name's 'ko' uses the letter meaning 'child' but it's the traditional way. There are many alternatives too though. Trust me on this. I am a Japanese. :)
I have truly enjoyed these videos. You are such a great cat daddy and video photographer, as well. To think that Chiko brought out all these special qualities in you..I must also add teacher and director to your credentials! I lost my 9 yr old male tuxedo cat, Charlie, in July. Watching Chiko, has helped to fill the void of his loss. I thank you for your contribution to others like me and most especially to Chiko! She is so adorable and so loved by you. You are one amazing person!
She is such a beautiful little girl. Now that you are home she is so happy she is playful and wants to show you love. Just love her with all your heart and you will never regret a day! Their love is so pure.
😍That is a proper greeting, Chiko is very happy to see you, you even got belly up, but I must say you have to honour it and give belly rubs!❤️ 💡 Also a little suggestion, I noticed as you were coming up the stairs you opened a door, if you keep that door closed Chiko may think you are hiding from her and she will meow all day, best is to keep that door open. I know you may feel protective, but please give it a try, I believe it will help a lot regarding Chiko feeling lonely! 🚪🐈 💡We have similar stairs hence the reason I mention it, also we found that a laser pointer and those stairs are great exercise for cats, just run the laser on side wall and cat will run up and down. The exercise is finished when the little nose is bright pink.🏃♀️🐈 💡Another idea for Chiko to not feel lonely is, put the radio/music while you are out. (Ex. Kenji likes Zen garden music, rain, or birds sounds. You can find ones for 8 hour long on youtube. My orange cat used to prefer classical music 😂)📻🎶🐈 It would be nice if you make a Chiko birthday video, with tuna cake 🎂 🤗🥳🎉❤️🌸
Awww...he loves you. He was even hoping you’d pick him up and hold him. He was rolling around showing belly to tell you he loves you and trusts you. Rubbing face on things, purring, kneading motion with paws... He’s saying he loves you.
Pet her or give her a hug. Obviously that's what she is waiting from you by turning around. She don't have any playmate so she get bored and expecting you to play with her a lot.
Do you pet the kitty? They need touch, hugs, cuddling, affection, talking, play. Purring means “pet me please”! My kitties love the cat tunnel! I throw little mouse toys in there and drag a string through it.
When you save a critter's life, they will be devoted to you forever! I have three of them so I know. Seeing you is always going to be the high point of her day.😸😻😽
