I wouldn't imagine any other monarch to receive well-meaning applause as their coffin drives by. Someone like the Queen will never be seen in our lifetimes again.
The way SEG made an honour guard with their heads bowed at the gates of Buckingham Palace after escorting her all the way from RAF Northolt was a touching gesture.

I actually do not believe for one minute that HM's body was in that hearse, even up in Scotland. HM's remains would have been the most precious cargo in living memory and the journey would possibly have been fraught with danger. I still believe there were other arrangements made to absolutely ensure HM's remains were buried in Windsor.
I am wondering why Old Jug Ears didn't have his mother's coffin flown to all the countries in the Commonwealth? I mean they dragged it thru Scotland and England after all. Why not add another 51 or 52 countries to the repitoire.
