Think about this, he's the only player that brings fans from opposing teams early to their stadiums just to watch him warm up, and that has to generate some revenue for the stadiums all over the USA.
@@west9554 That's the way things are now, if someone ain't happy they want out, like they will find it somewhere else. Tragic but ok, the kids are grown and have kids of their own now, they did a good job with their kids and the Nation thanks them.
The thing about Steph that doesn't get enough recognition and makes him so different is how long he has been great. There were (probably still are) people who thought his "schtick" would only last brief moment, ala Jeremy Lin. His ability to consistently elevate his game to another level year after year, is what makes him one of the greats. There have been a lot of players who have had a great year or two and then fall off a cliff, but few that seem to get better every year the way Steph has.
Curry has a special star. He is not a giant but he is supernatural shooting threes. People older or younger...players had and have their moments. Curry was born and blessed ! Some envy him but that is stupidity....HE IS WHAT HE IS...DOES WHAT HE DOES...AND IS THE GREATEST AT IT NOW ...SO LIVE THE MOMENT...HE IS OUR STAR HERE AND AROUND THE WORLD...START RESPECTING AND ACCEPTING HIS TALENT !!!
For every inch of height someone has over you, you have to have that much more skill. That puts Steph in the stratosphere on the skill graph. Really enjoyed this video, thank you.
His rise to stardom was not quick or transformational. He was already a star before he was recognized, it's just the league and the world was late to notice his greatness.
I don’t think he’s talking about improvement. I think he means the way people looked at him suddenly instead of noticing him immediately. The transformation was still going on but the recognition was what happened almost overnight.
I think that is why people still have a hard time giving him his props. He's so different than the greats we've seen in the past that he needed more years to prove himself to everyone, and still does.
4 rings, Greatest Shooter, Multiple MVP's, Multiple Titles & Awards, d feated prime KD & Russ in OKC...defeated prime LBJ thrice...yeah his overrated...many NBA players can do that.
Steph reminds me more and more of Magic Johnson every day. Not in terms of game play, they have very different games, but in the fact that when they step(ped) onto the court, their team gets (got) much better. You can understand that with Magic, he's the best assist man in history, but Steph does it through pure leadership (his gravity helps a bit too). But for whatever the reason, with both of them, when they're on the court their team is just about unbeatable.
No way, Magic used his size for the advantage in the position he played, Steph is another creature all together, not to mention most of the time being the smallest player on the court.
He wasnt saying by the way he played, but by the leadership and the ability to impose his will ln the game. Steph certainly does it differently than Magic, but Magic had a knack to do whatever it took to win games and Steph does the same. An interesting comparison never thought of before.
Larry legend, what happened when magics stack team retired. Larry did insane thing with a terrible back and both ankle surgery and did something only 4 people did 3 times. There is no NBA without Larry Bird he was doing these things Steph does hrmm wonder who was his inspiration
Let’s not forget he is the only person in the NBA that can shoot the ball the fastest from outside the 3pt zone and nobody could ever beat that record! There has been a Documentary out on Stephen Curry demonstrating how fast he gets the ball into hands to launch 🚀 and release from hands from outside that 3 point zone range! There is nobody in the World who can beat that record and make those shots!
This game was definitely shocking as a warriors fan. It was truly witnessing greatness. But that OKC game is cemented in my mind. I remember exactly where I was and every single emotion that I felt.
The one attribute they(NBA, NFL, NBL, NHL,)scouts always get wrong is the heart, no one can measure the ability of what the inside of one's heart will bring to a franchise in the future, but if they could Curry would have been a #1 prospect by a long shot!!!
People saying that if Steph wins 2-3 more championships, he'll be the best in the league. I couldn't choose a better more consistent player than Steph right now

best curry video I have seen with so many haters out there. my buddy from Oakland got me into the dubs in the big baby davis/Monte Ellis days. did not know about this break out game as he was so good but often injured early in his career. figured if he stayed healthy he would get an MBA eventually and the splash bros were destined for a couple chips atleast
Changed the game more than anyone else apart from Jordan. Argue it all you like, this 6'3 guard, redefined the game you watch today. Go on to any junior court, local court, rep team, state team and they're all jacking up Curries from previously unthinkable positions.
I remember when Steph was surrounded by 3 defenders. Coach Kerr was screaming for him to pass the ball. Instead, Steph decided to take one of the worst shots in history and it went in. Kerr was about to go off on Steph but since he made the shot, Kerr just put his hands on his head in amazement. He didn't know whether to be mad at Steph or give him a hug. To me, that's the moment when Kerr stopped telling Sheph what to do. Sheph became allowed to take the craziest shots on earth from anywhere on the court because kerr trust he will make 40% of them. The problem nowadays is Steph has mellowed out too much. He thinks about his shot selection now too much and he plays a lot more conservative and dont take as many risky shots as he use to before his 2nd championship. I could see the change when he grew a beard for the first time. Sadly, that meant no more 400 3-pointers in a season. I think this maturity is costing him too not win as much this season. He needs to go back to being reckless.
Steph is really one of the best players I think I can ever watch but as all good things have come to an end I think I have seen the best of him as he is getting older, very sad but actual reality. Really enjoyed his game as it lasted. I am sure tomorrow will be the last game of dubs dynasty as I came to adore and follow so long.
I mean, the Analyst probably was right, Curry has a bad shot selection - for everyone except himself. He is just able to make those impossibls shots on a regular Basis.
I'm from Sacramento. Took my son to a Steph and Dell Curry b-ball camp in Oakland back in 2013. Awesome dudes, both of them. I remember watching Dell light up the Kings back in the day and could never imagine that this 6 foot 3 inch kid would wind up being the greatest shooter in NBA history. I don't think there will even be anyone who can do what Steph can do. I'm just glad I get to see it happen.

Steph could have better stats if he wants but he doesn’t cause the dubs are a team were everyone gets the ball , like last season Poole and wignes were shinning it’s like steph is soo humble like he let kd in to his team that was winning like they got a championship and were in the finals as well, like now he coming off the bench, like most superstars and their egos will not let them do that and they ain’t even as good as steph but it’s like he don’t gotta prove himself anymore cause the dude literally changed the game so much so almost all the old dogs don’t like his game cause he changed the game they loved and he made us 6 foot or shorter guys dream that u could also be the greatest in the game like u got 12 year old shooting from down the court cause of him
Let's not forget Stephen Curry also got mad at his own home referees on certain calls and yelled in there face constantly like he owned the refs! I wouldn't be surprised if he bought the refs for the home games they played against teams! He didn't get fined or suspended! That tells me he probably owns the home referees!
If there was ever a time and reason to update the NBA logo, it would be now with Curry’s silhouette…the greatest shooter in NBA history. A nod to fundamentals. C’mon!
The 2008 evaluation of Steph not being able to get to the FT line and all the other criticisms were valid. The NBA has changed significantly since 2008; a lot of those changes have favored players like Steph.
Correction: repeated ankle injuries at the start of his career, not knee. The clip showing him spraining his MCL was in the playoffs against Houston in 2016. Not the beginning of his career.
Steph Curry-- the man who realized "Wow, look how much space defenses give everyone on the court..Ima just start pulling up and popping a trey in they #&* 'til they get in our faces and play defense"...the rest of the league " 🤔 hmm.. I think this kid on to something". Then he started shooting so many 3s and drained about half of them consistently; he took it a step further and said, "Ima start shooting 3s from 50 feet out"..Rest of the league "Practice now consists of 2 hours of every position only practicing 3s." N.B.A.= Not Basketball Anymore
Remember Steph rebuilt not only his ankles but his entire body. Having a crab meat ankle was the best thing to ever happen to him. Since then his conditioning and pound for pound strength has been off the charts. He’ll be great for many more years due to his regime.
......some of these so called sports analyst aka Curry haters are still hesitant to give him what he deserves i.e. top 11, goat and the one who changed the game!!

So many people keep callin steph Wardell like he doesn’t prefer to be called steph or Stephen 😂 literally anytime someone called him Wardell in press he gives them a stank wth face
Generational PLAYER. We will never see another player like Steph in our lifetime. He does not get the respect that he deserves. I rate him up there with Isia Thomas. Small gurards who could not be stopped.
