@@unrealmagic6519 You are half right. Forklifts are easy to use. However they are more difficult to use safely and properly in tight quarters especially retrieving something from height.

People destroy pallets with the forks when they are not aligned properly, this sometimes causes pallets to collapse and spill its contents possibly injuring anyone nearby. People do not properly secure their loads which risk the same happening. People leave their forks up which creates tripping hazards. Secondhand story includes a novice operator leaving the forks at head height improperly and leaving the lift truck. My coworker turned a corner and hit his head on the fork and got a concussion. If you introduce any imperfect driving surface like gravel (even nicely packed gravel), reaching up high with a forklift not designed with offroad capabilities will be difficult to properly retrieve the load, specifically at a great height because of the instability. These and other factors, such as sloped driving surfaces, blind corners, old partly collapsed pallets, and many others make the job not as easy. In conclusion, forklifts are easy to use. However they are more difficult to use properly and safely to prevent injuries and hazards in the workplace.

Operating a forklift isn’t even hard. It drives like a car in reverse and has 3 levers. Just jiggle the levers around for 2 seconds each and you instantly know what each one does.

Those things are deceptively hard to manouver. My father has been working them for nearly thirty years and anytime i would conplain about driving a car being difficult, he'd say "try a forklift, you'll never whine about S-type parking ever again"

They are easy to maneuver, just takes practice (like everything else)

@@SuddenAnomaly yea, I mean they dont commercially ship just one barrel, so as long as the number of trackers stay together as far as any tracking system would know nothing is missing, that's the whole point of trackers, to see where they are, and they stay together, so it wouldn't be until they arrived at the destination that it would be discovered that one is missing, and you with your barrel is long gone

As much as I love this show it had a lot of things like that that made no sense to me. Like for instance when they start making selling meth they don't even think get a gun for a protection.

Yeah but not just any idiot can operate a forklift especially not smoothly. It takes training and experience to do it properly. In the working world you aren't allowed to touch, even more, operate one without training and certification so it is a meme.

It's not something anyone can do on their first try. I've seen a lot of people struggle to even drive in a straight line when learning how to operate that specific type of forklift due to how sensitive the controls are.
