They did Khun dirty during the scene with him and Blueberry and also they cut out that Yuri said Urek Mazino was waiting for Bam, I’m really not sure why they didn’t include that. Also I’m pretty sure they’ve mentioned Maria more in the anime then SIU has in the whole WEBTOON.

In general, I feel like the show has been mildly doing Khun dirty. Like, it's just in little ways, but all of the changes have involved twisting the goals of Khun's character. They've really toned down his goal in the Webtoon- become leader of the Khun family, which is the implied reason at to why he wants to be called Khun. He wants to be the first thing people think of when they think of the Khun family. The secondary reason was just to find himself after losing his way of life. The anime has been Maria this, Maria that, and although I do really enjoy the parallels the anime has made between Khun and Maria as well as Bam and Rachel, I think the dramatization has been taken a bit too far.

@@supremeoverlord0 I feel like they did Rak and Yuri super dirty with how much they cut of them. But even Khun got alot of screentime in the anime but didn't get any of his background or his character moments he has to show how extreme he can be to achieve his goals.

@@jsuperhalo1 Rak totally was done dirty; most of his best moments were in Season 1, and those moments were either cut or altered. i.e "A game without me is not a game worth playing"= cut, and "There were no other hints, so wasn't the only choice to guess?" was simply changed to "Instinct." Rak's talk with Khun about taking the place of the king to follow desires was cut short, and so on. He also was kind of unfunny, a lot of the time? (That's subjective, but y'know.) What's even worse is that after season 1 in the Webtoon, Rak even gets neglected there. So, yeah. Rak's not really getting much more than this. :/

I'm really hoping the date joke, and (training) flash back come next ep. I think the Rachel scene was more moving because she catches him, and smiles right before she flips. The anime Rachel is so much more emotional, which looks nuts when you see her true nature. Also her voice actress helps with massive deception lol. My only complaint is i wanted to see Yuri's eyes glow like the webtoon when she got mad. I think the way they handled Blueberry has alot of anime only confused on why he shows up. They did show a clip of him hooded with the rest of Yuri's team (minus Strawberry and the other guy I forget). I didn't mind the convo he had with Khun, but his main reason for showing up was supposed to be finding his team/doing his job as a light bearer :D I'm very curious about what we'll see next EP, and hope to see some overlaps from the next arc. Regardless I really enjoyed the adaption, and glad I saw this come to life :D

That symbolism at the end with the closing credits, compared to the normal version with the sleeping Rachel who's lying upwards in the light, compared to Baam "lying" down and falling in the dark. Maybe a little nod to Rachel falling into darkness as the season went on. Nicely done! Also great episode.

nope forcing character growth makes her best girl in my book. the story simply isnt as great without rachel pushing bam to grow at every opportunity. a horrible person but without a doubt best girl in my books as my books are based on narrative importance and implementation.

Spoilers! ( Mention of things that occur throughout Season 2): This is just my personal opinion; please don’t take it to heart, if you don’t agree that's okay too! I didn’t really like how they cut most of EndorsixBam scenes. In Season 2, Endorsi is supposed to have a major crush on Bam though, in the anime it literally cut out all of their scenes together. In the manhwa(webtoon) it shows how Endorsi progressively starts to like Bam throughout season 1, so it is understandable how Endorsi eventually got to the point of risking everything for him. I wonder how SIU is going to develop Endorsi and Bam’s relationship when it comes to the anime. I hope the anime will add a flashback of Endorsi and Bam so they will receive some screen time together during the last episode!

yeah, same even tho it's just a ship its very important towards Endorsi's character development. Like keep your title as a princess or give it up for someone you like. Cause in season 2 there is a lot of Endorsi x Bam which is very important. The next ep better cover it up maybe Endorsi mourning Bam or something. Cause even tho it's just a ship it's an important one.

SIU has little do do with the anime's direction, he literally only greenlights the script, on the other point i can see how some people wouldn't like the exclusion of a few of Endorsi's moments with Bam, however in the long run Endorsi and Bam have little chance of getting together, from what I've seen so far the anime is going to focus mainly on Bam's relationship with Rachel, of course i don't mean that romantically, what i mean is how Bam and Rachel interact after the whole betrayal thing (if Bam survives to see Rachel again of course)

In the episode 11 review that you guys did, you talked About the Possible character cliffhanger you guys want this season to end on. and that got me thinking, for me personally I gotta say the character that would be perfect to put in an after credits scene for the end of next episode would have to be(IM JUST GONNA NAME DROP A FUTURE CHARACTER ITS NOT A SPOILER BUT IF YOU DONT EVEN WANT THAT THEN I SUGGEST GOING TO ANOTHER COMMENT) Wangnan. Imagine, if we get his voice and a little shot of the bottom half of his head with the mole and the horns, and we end it off on his little confidant smile before we fade to black. That would honestly be Awesome.

Webtoon spoilers in case any Anime-onlys are reading I think with the way they're pacing it they can fit in that first chapter of Season 2 (they probably don't need to add in all the information, they could shorten it and leave out Wangnan's debt and stuff like that, then redo the scene in episode 1 of Season 2 of the anime to include it), and have it cliffhanger when Wangnan walks into the test to see Viole with the 3 guys on the ground around him. I think it leaves anime-onlys with the most hype because it tells you a few things: 1) Bam looks like a badass now 2) The 3 guys on the ground tells you that Bam is strong as hell now and take down others with ease 3) The 3 guys on the ground also tells you that Bam is no longer as innocent as he once was, and will take out the people around him without mercy for the easiest way possible to climb the tower Wangnan would be sick, but the anime-onlys wouldn't be as hype for it since they have no idea who he is, so leaving off with a glimpse of the main character years later feels like it would be the best choice

For Joe and webtoon readers For the missing dynamic between Endorsi and Bam, like Endorsi promising a "date" and their training scenes, some readers are worried about the plot points in season 2 where Endorsi is doing things because she likes Bam. It's not as implied that Endorsi likes Bam in the anime. I wonder how will the anime explain this? 🤔 I still like the anime, just an honest critic.

So did Kiritos VA acting as Betelgeuse in Re:Zero.. shouldn´t people love everything about Rachel in the perspective of a well writen antagonist? I mean I really think her voice is perfect for Rachel, it makes her sound so innocent and kind, but when she said "Bam" at the end of the episode I could literally hear the "die!" following, even thought she didn´t say it. This just shows how good of a seiyuu she is. I mean I get where you´re coming from, but there shoulnd´t be a need to feel sorry for her, rather one to praise her.

@@janina3879 I agree. Personally, I don't like Rachel at all but I love her as a character as I think it really progressed and still can contribute more to the story. The part where Baam is chasing her with innocence like a lost puppy, the part where Baam rejects her and tries to move on and find his own motivation and friends to climb the tower, and everything about her that really brings something to the plot and character development of the main cast is all amazingly done.

I think the Tower of God anime has been pretty good I like some of the things they added and expanded upon like Hoh's funeral or the fact that Bam and Rachel actually talk to each other before this test. I think they handled most things well including this, however, I also don't like that they cut out certain scenes that showed more of the characters and lore. Some of the things they cut I understand like the mention of characters of Phantaminum and Enyru since we're not gonna see Enryu in a long time and Phantaminum isn't even relevant for the story rn, however the conversation between Hansung and Lero Ro that mentions Phantaminum and Urek. We get more of an idea as to why Irregulars are feared so it becomes more of an important decision between the characters if they want to help Bam and I saw a lot of anime onlys just not seeing Irregulars as a big deal, I saw one straight up say that Irregulars aren't a big deal. Also, they completely cut all of the romance stuff for Endorsi and Bam, they never bring up that Endorsi asks Bam out on a date if he comes back alive. The romance between them creates plot points later for Endorsi and also helps her development, I hope they show it in a flashback at least. Despite my issues, I really like the anime the animation has been really good, it doesn't need to go crazy or anything, the ost is amazing, the voice acting is also amazing, and as said earlier I do like some of the additions they made. The anime overall has been really good in my opinion.

Ngl I am disappointed with parts of this episode. Love that they gave Yuri her shine. Love they kept the Rachel stuff at the end. Hated that they cut the Endorsi and Bam training with the loneliness dialogue which is the reason Endorsi didn't kill Anak. Hated they didn't have Endorsi mention dating Bam. Hated they added in a glowing hands scene for no reason that served zero purpose and was time wasted that could have been used for the scenes that were skipped I mentioned above. Only because imo they are important and play a factor in Endorsi's development and events in season 2. I hope episode 13 addresses these things that way they can do season 2 correctly and show off Endorsi's side and development. But, I have a feeling they wont and probably going to change a lot I can see it coming. I personally do not like Telecom at all handling TOG. The only reason I even somewhat liked this episode is cause of the Little bit of Endorsi we got, Yuri being a badass, and the Ending obviously. Outside of that they changed too much imo and left way too much out. If these things are addressed in episode 13 I will be happier.

As an anime only (even tough I'm reading the chapters of every episode) I need to say that this was one of the best episodes, unfortunately I already expected something with those shots on Rachel, her expressions and everyone saying something big would happen in this episode ( also people saying we would know why they hate her so much kinda ruined the experience ) Now I will need to wait a week to know why did she did that. As always your reaction is amazing, I love your expressions, commentaries and opinions. Now waiting for the review with our boy, other Joe. Note: If someone starts using the -kun thing, then they would call khun, khun-kun? I need some sleep...

About Ren's "death" - *Spoiler* alert for those who do not read the webtoon - it's meant for Dr. Bonehead | I think they're keeping his eventual return as a surprise, pretty much not telling the audience that's not his real body which got squished. I think it might actually be a good thing and people will be hella surprised if he eventually makes his comeback XD

Finally Bam got what was coming to him. Overpowered, childlish, naive Irregular who tried climbing through sheer luck, and would disrupt the glory of Jahad Empire. Rachel is such a hero! No allies, no skills, no weapons, just her wits, to do something that all rankers failed to do.

@@TSH425 ep 13 isn't out yet dude, spoilers, they confirmed it in the anime, i think ep3 when leroro explained irregulars and Bam pieced it together to be a regular you have to be chosen by Headon, she wasn't SIU has confirmed she's an Irregular, a fact accepted by the Korean fanbase. Why would the anime writers want to make it look like Ren wants the others to think he's dead? It doesn't make sense to me because Endorsi knew Ren was still alive and a threat and out for Anak's blood and that's the whole reason she fought Kaiser/Lo Po Bia princesses, to get Ren off Anak's tail.

spoiler: remember the chapter when hatsu ignited his weapon i wish we got more of that he even said that it was only a small amount of the power he could control for now also i’m kinda surprised in the early stage of the webtoon when hatsu and khun fought khun actually kinda won i’m surprised because khun doesn’t really fight a lot but he still won damn 🤔 also i can’t wait for rachel to come back so we can see more development in the story

Although I found this anime super fun to watch, and I was super excited every Wednesday, this did feel like promotional material for ToG (Although this IS sort of the prologue for the whole series). I hope that if a Season 2 gets greenlit, the team will really put their heart and time into it. :)

amazing way to show it, love this episode, just that I have seen that lot of only anime are confused, they think bam will fail thx to Rachel but be ok, maybe the anime should have explained a fall like that is sure death. That's why probably some only fans arent as furious as manhwa readers, bcs we knew that with this, she was trying to kill bam. While only anime think this will make bam fail the test an are wondering if the ranker can make something to pass him or how to fix it. But probably in the last episode next week they explain the fall high and what it means.

Spoilers! (Mention of things that occur throughout Season 2): This is just my personal opinion; please don’t take it to heart, if you don’t agree that's okay too! The way this episode displayed Bam’s powers is a bit rushed. Bam isn’t shown to be a powerful wave controller just yet. During Season 1 in the webtoon (manhwa), it really just showed how Bam was a clever and quick learner. The “Bull” is supposed to be this creature which even causes Rankers a bit of trouble. However, in this episode, it shows how Bam destroyed and killed the Bull, so much so that the Bull was left in pieces. In the webtoon (Season 1 Ep.74) there wasn’t a huge indication of Bam having that large of an upper hand against the Bull. Originally when reading the webtoon, I would have thought that the Bull was just severely injured or had passed out. I guess the Bull and Bam encounter does make sense when correlating the massive explosion of power during the Crown Game episode. If Bam was able to produce that large scale of Shinsu, then it’s reasonable that he would be able to beat the Bull. I just wish, we as readers/anime-onlys could see just how much Bam has grown over the years when it leads into Season 2. Bam, from someone who had nothing and could barely create a ball of shinsu, to someone who shook the whole tower with his raw potential.

Personally I disliked the changes they with with the bull fight. I know him fighting the bull from the inside is supposed to pay homage to how he fought in the first episode but the point of that final fight was to show his growth not replicate his strategy from before he learned shinsu. In the manwha we see him utilizing quant’s freeze shinsu and then shoot it from the inside while it was stationary.

The way Ren's eyes "turned off" after blinking a couple times doesn't seem like a natural death, more like something breaking, and if it was his real body there's no way he'd have survived being squashed, so if/when Ren appears again later, he can just say something like "What, you really thought I was dead? It was just a puppet body you destroyed." or something like that. So that's no problem.

the ED blending into the push was such an incredible way to show that scene off man. I also absolutely loved the golden Shinsu showing up again from ep5, the parallel to the Steel Eel was such a great detail as well. even though I would have enjoyed seeing him Kamehameha the Bull in half lol. with Ren's death, I dont remember him doing all that much after the Yuri encounter. maybe theyll bring it up next week? maybe Kurdan will mention he slipped out or something idk.

It hurts to say this, but unfortunately for me the anime was a mistake. The director clearly does not really understand the webtoon, many great scenes were cut / changed, but a lot of useless original scenes were added. Actually, when I saw the news that there would be only 13 episodes in the anime, it was already dead for me, but I still gave it a chance, and unfortunately I was not mistaken. And overall when I saw the studio first and then the first shots from the anime it was already possible to understand that this anime would not be expensive, and this is sad, because the adaptations of other webtoons are clearly more forutnate, the God of Highschool and Nobless are adapted by some of the best anime studios, and you can already see from God Of Highschool trailers that they put a lot more effort into it than into the Tower of God. The only good thing about Tower of God anime for me was the OST, Kevin Penkin is the GOAT, that's all I can say, unfortunately.

Not sure why nobody mentioned this..but the fight scene in the bull was entirely different from the one in the Webtoon? (Spoilers alert) Not that I don't like this version, but in the webtoon, I really like the struggle and the explanation of the techniques he used. E.g. He first stopped the bull with that technique he just learned/copied from Quant, and he had problems with controlling two bangs at once. Idk about you guys, but I feel like this moment is so significant, especially when you read to season 2, one of his most noticeable or shocking skills that most characters react to is his ability to control many bangs. I feel like the fight in the anime, where he just jumps in and kills the bull takes away from this significance (just my personal opinion :) feel free to discuss, let me know what you think!!) Because I genuinely think that one of the greatest things about ToG is the progressiveness in Bam's ability, and in the anime I feel like him jumping in the Bull doesn't really show that or help the comparison in Season 2. It seems like he just suddenly got stronger for no reason? Another problem I have with the anime version in the last fight scene was the fact that Rachel caught Bam after the fight. If Rachel wanted to betray him why not just let him fall off instead of catching him? I was thinking maybe she wanted to wait till the moment just before they were taken up so Bam had no chance of leaving, or maybe to make the betrayal more shocking? Anyways would be really grateful if anyone could let me know what they think about this :) ! All in all it was a great episode and I really hope they make season 2 (IT WOULD BE SO EPIC)!!!!

I agree if it comes to the fight with the bull. Although, they already cut out the explanation of bangs and shinsu from Yuga's classes that it's not actually shocking for me. I probably like it better in webtoon. But anime version is good too. I bet if I didn't read the webtoon before I would love this alternative. Seeing Bam struggle and actually try to come up with some kind of strategy is more valuable for me. It shows his personality better. That he won't give up on his friends no matter what. That's also better explanation than saying that he destroyed it with just his raw power of golden shinsu. Just my opinion tho

Yeah not sure why they didn't add the ren part where he tells them it's not his actual body but honestly we are close to 500 chapters in the webtoon and still haven't seen him and I am not sure if the anime is going to adapt that far into the webtoon (I hope they do) but if he really apears in this new arc and they adapt It they could do a flashback, (although it wouldn't make sense) but who knows.

So people can stop making things like "Rachel protected baam beacause the tower is dangerous." i hope season 2 they don´t cut some things, and it would be awesome if they did like jojo´s bizzare adventures. put season 2 in parts, the first part with 50 episodes at least. that would be crazy. if they extend like that, they could put alot more useful information. specialy when we get to the hell train arc, i think they could speed little things in the hell train. to make fewer episodes, instead of 100 episodes on hell train. i think that it will be 60 or more eps, in the hell train.
