Not really, it is not good to be the king. Especially when every other younger male is vouching for your death or constant plans are being made to overthrow you and your supporters. Monkeys, chimps, humans.. same story. You do get some short term benefits like being able to pick 3 bananas from a bunch, to have the best females or have the best conditions for your offspring. But the moment you slack or get overpowered by another group or another male, you will be tortured or eliminated to get rid of any possible competition. Chimps even execute their ex-leaders or another tribe's leader during their wars.
If that was a human politician he would have taken all of the bananas for himself and had everyone pay him a tax of 2 bananas per day just to make sure he doesn't run out of food.😇

Это видно и по тому что главная обезьяна не оглядывается, не торопится, абсолютно уверена что никто даже не попробует ничегл стащить - это означает что они и не пытались это делать, иначе бы он по старой памяти был на стреме.

@Kortez That's because they must wait, due to the hierarchy of the troupe. The king eats first, then the others, according to their standing within the troupe. The babies are usually the last. I hate that the people who put the bananas there, also added the worthless pastry. For the most part, human interference with wild animals never goes well for the animals.
It's the primate kingdom. The alpha always gets his and then the others can have theirs. If any of them even get up there while he's doing this he'd take it as a sign of challenge. It would not bode well for the other monkey.
I've heard people criticize alphas for being hostile and mean towards their troop members. I've known better, but you rarely see the truth. This alpha could have taken much much more, or even say right there and date his fill, AND taken some more with him when he was done. Nope. He chose the three bananas that appealed to him and walked away, letting his family go at it. And, that's why he's THE King

Its horribly unhealthy for the and the plastic wrapping is just terrible. They can choke on it and throw it into the forest floor where it will not degrade for decades or even centuries. This is not a good thing these people are doing. It is lazy and terribly irresponsible. All they have to do is only buy bananas or fruit snd stop giving them cake or especially stop giving them plastic!
