At age 74, as I lay in my hospital bed at Swedish hospital in Seattle listening to this beautiful song while fighting acute myeloid leukemia, I remember the first time I ever heard it, it was Vietnam in 1970. I have listened to this song thousands of times and I never tire of it and it always puts me at peace.

The seven most beautiful slows / les sept plus beaux slows de l'histoire de la variété (pour faire un chef d'oeuvre de ce genre il faut une mélodie magique et des superbes chanteurs et musiciens, ainsi que des "forte") : Night in white satin (Moody Blues), While my guitar gently weeps (Beatles / George Harrison), Day Dream (Wallace Collection), Rain and Tears (Aphrodite's Child), When a man loves a woman (Percy Sledge), Still Loving You (Scorpions) and A Whiter Shade of Pale (Procol Harum). En France il y aurait Aline (Christophe) et Capri (Hervé Vilard).

"When you desire only the result, you start trying to take shortcuts... and when you start taking shortcuts, you might start losing sight of the truth. Eventually, you'll lose your motivation too" "I believe the will to seek out the truth is what's important. As long as you have the will to seek it out, then, even if the perp gets away this time, you'll reach your destination in time, won't you? That's because you're seeking it out, don't you agree?" RIP Abbachio
@arthurg8

There are no shortcuts. it took me a year to find the truth and I almost killed myself doing it and it took me 3 years to recuperate from it. But it was the experience that made it worth while and a reason to live. People just need to get in touch with themselves because it's all laid out in bits and pieces after the system got through with you. That's what Micks song addresses about the Jigsaw Puzzle.

34 years ago, I lost a young friend who was like a younger sister to me, her name was Marian, she was only 20 years old, I cried at her funeral, and through the years I've never forgotten her or her smile or her chestnut red hair..... three months ago I was in the Emergency room, I had left for the night, I wasn't feeling well, the next morning at 5:30 AM I took a drive to check on family, immediately afterwards I became very I'll, to the point where my blood pressure had dropped and I passed bout at the wheel, my car came to rest inside a building, totally destroyed, my sternum fractured, my wrist , ribs, family was notified, but before I passed out I did see something white, and before I came too I felt her presence as if she was guarding me, . a guardian angel....I love you Marian, it wasn't my time but I know now you're waiting for me, this song reminds me so much of you....rest well little sister 💕

This brings back so many memories of nights at home. Daddy would turn on his record player and he would play the songs he had listened to when he was a teenager in the '60's. I miss those times in that run-down trailer house in the middle of the country. I can't go back to those times; they don't exist anymore but in my memories. The house is different, the times are different. But dad's record player is still here and so are his records. Next time I head out that way, maybe he'll put some of them on for me and my whole family can be swept back into time where those memories reside.

I didn’t know this song was so old. It has an early 2000’s indie vibe to it that’s why I thought it was released in the 2000’s but it just proves how timeless some music can be.

Touche...we always knew their music was ahead of our time and many said so, including me. How many people get together and discuss popular music and what the writer was trying to convey? I can't see this in recent or present music happening. Yet friends would get together and talk about the music of our day...the Moody Blues were epic in their day, and still are in my book. They are..."timeless".

Man this song brings back memories. I remember serving as a policeman in Naples. The people that I helped protect weren’t the kindest to my partner or myself, but we just went alongside our business. However, I started to feel that something didn’t feel right, and I eventually accepted a bribe from a street thug. A few days later I discovered the thug trying to steal some cash, and shot my partner. I shot at the thug in rage and was booted off the police force. For a while I became an alcoholic, never leaving the street where the building was. Until a man found me, saw me as a friend and introduced me to his gang. Good times. I just want to go back and replay them.

I had grown up on Hank Williams Sr. And Elvis Presley but I heard this song and the flute music just blew me away.
