God , and Allah bless you Rufai Oseni for studying the Economics and exposing the lies of Tinubu/Cardoso and APC government ! More Nigerian Economists home and abroad/diaspora, should come out, and own this country, and critic the economic policies of this DISHONEST and HIDEOUS , APC corrupt, propaganda, audio government , of suffering, pains , poverty and impoverishment presently in Nigeria !!
Tell me which previous government has done better than the current government. Would it have been Buhari government or Jonathan government. It's always easier to criticize than improvise fundamental solutions. Mind you, I belong to no political either.
u are not being fair and logical to the govt of the day, inspite of the many concerns which have been a continuous national malaise the continuous effort of the govt shld be commended
It takes on the average three to four years to build an industrial plant. We need to understand that when talking about production because a lot of people are talking about production as if it would just happen overnight.
Yes, no investor can be Comfortable doing business in Nigeria 🇳🇬 oh. Myself as a Nigerian 🇳🇬 who send goods from abroad don't even feel comfortable continuing. One, because the exchange rate doesn't stay stable....today is up and tomorrow is down.
The problem of Nigeria is not all of this analysis, is that our start governors are stealing too much less get the past once arrested to set a good example
I have always said to anyone who cares to listen that the Naira falling freely is not ending anytime soon. There are no fundamentals to restore the strength of the Naira.
Nice haircut Rufai! That being said, you intelligently & objectively analyse issues & speak truth to power. hope they listen, learn, change & make Nigeria a better place for us here now & our generations yet unborn.
On the Fubara vs Wike case, Rufai needs to understand that Fubara is acting right now under an immunity clause which we have refused to take out from our governance… meanwhile, Wike hide Fubara when EFCC was looking for him because he knew that Fubara did his bidding as the accountant general of the Rivers state being appointed by the governor Wike. Well, Fubara has a lot of advantages over Wike. Mark my words, Fubara will win this one…
FG cannot give you light. We need $120 Billion to fix electricity but our budget is $28Billion. This is why the FG is currently removing subsidy in order to attract investors into the power sector. Rufai does not understand the Economics of electricity power supply. He is talking out of point.
@@rotimikayode1072 lol there’s a 24 hours electricity supply in Nigeria from TCN so don’t tell me that ! lol they are only lying to you . ITS the DISCOS who are doing business with the government forget about the budget 😂
The present government would rather spend 15trillion on an imaginary coastal highway, rather than fix the horrible electricity crisis the country has faced for over 40yrs. What a shame If there's constant electricity is given to Nigerians it will yeild better results than a highway that wouldn't be ready for the next 15yrs (minimum)
Propaganda has expiry date. Unless we stop oil theft, make our refineries work and increase productivity naira will continue to lose value to the dollar.
Human as intelligent are we are will never learn. Even if Govenor Fubara is impeached, how is Wike sure that the next person he will bring will be his "foot mat"? This is why I always prefer things that are void of manupution, sentiment, and bias. If Wike has not handpicked Gov. Fubara and make him governor (as he claim), he may be more respected than this. Even a governor from another political party might ensure his relevance and respect. Always do things that are right. No one is God
When wike was awarding contract here and there without approval when he was governor and many people of Rivers state questioned him, he always reply " don't ask me how I get the money, all I know is that I have paid 90% of the contract" that is wike quotes always.
The wind is blowing the ship of our economy away from a safe harbour which is PRODUCTIVITY. INSECURITY is hauling missiles on the errant ship. CORRUPTION is sinking the strayed ship. God bless Baba Abati. Madam Ayọ, Bọbọ Rufai.👍👍👍👏👏
SIM was just a civil servant then and only released what was approved by the Government. Some Wike enemies wanted to get him through EFCC and SIM was the main person with knowledge of everything financial. Wike only made SIM Governor so that he covers himself (WIike) by providing immunity for SIM. SIM may not have violated, he only obeyed directive from the then Governor.
While I agree ...I must also say oil is not the only resource in Nigeria ...where r the solid minerals in the north and west? Why r they not mined to add value to the economy
@@olayinkaadeleye3134 for How long oil production would be the quickest win ...and will this govt say they don't know who is stealing the oil? Nigeria needs to be broken into regions for effectiveness and let every regions grow based on their capacity.
Every states in Nigeria is blessed with natural resources, yet, we are suffering, so, what really is our problem, lack of foresight? Obi once said; production to consumption, yet people derided him, but today, his thoughts is coming to hunt us 😢😢
step 1 cut the cost of governance by 30%, step 2 declare a state of emergency on power, and create a 3 year road map to achieve 12000 MWs in generation and transmission. step 3 address insecurity by increasing the police force to 1 million train and equip them within 6 months while attempting to move police from the exclusive list, step 4 address food inflation by getting serious about the agric sector and import food in the short term to ensure food sufficiency, step 5 make a concerted effort to stimulate SME,s thru low sub 10% micro loans, while addressing ease of business issues. in Rwanda you can register a company within 72 hours with no corruption. Step 6 get the public refineries up and running within 6 months and then privatize them within 12 months, meanwhile expand oil and gas production in the short to mid term to increase FX earnings. If this clueless govt would follow these steps i about 12 months the economy should be growing by at least 6% and Nigerians will start to feel better.
Ìf you are a foreign investor, would you invest in a country where the government is demolishing peoples' houses and business on the account of their political ideology?
Oyaaa 😂😂😂 Royal Rombo between Fubara and wike😂😂😂 Jungle has matured let go.... This is another bloodline, 😂😂 Fubara u need to finish ur story ooooo 😂😂😂😂
You guys are doing a good job, but what I wouldn't accept expanding words of the governor. He said he will set up a panel of enquiry to look into governance. It could be himself and the former governor. I didn't hear him say panel for wike.
Rufai said it all. Production production production!!! If there is no production for exports, there won't be enough Forex Reserve for the business sector. The FGN should go back to bases. Go to Aba and the Eastern Region sector and mobilize the local manufactures by granting them good businesss grants and export tarrifs reduction incentives. Nagotiate trade business with countries like the Indians by making deals that will favor our local manufacturers to enable them to export more and earn more foreign exchange. A good percentage of the foreign exchange earnings from the Oil and Gold sector should be returned back to this country by all means. A housing boom in any economy is the backbone of any strong economy because the sell of houses at a higher rate prospers economic growth while the unwanton destruction of buildings creats an atmosphere of business disenchantme
Why are we basing our economy recovery on “Dollar “ Many countries appreciate their currencies. Why did Nigerians are having sleepless nights on “Dollar “.Americans are laughing at you people. You cannot buy pounds Sterling on any street in America You cannot buy dollars in any street in London. But in Nigeria Dollars are sold every Conner. Nigeria needs to close all these Sides Forex.
Where are the other previous leaders in Nigeria, that are Economists and good knowledge about the present bad tranjectory of Nigeria economy ? Are they deaf , mute and blind; or they have been corrupted by money and appointments ?
Nigeria is on the right path. Had we not followed the reforms, we would have ballooned our debts to more than double of what it is now. We are challenged, but we will overcome if we persevere and submit to total removal of subsidies so that we can attract investments into the country and get out of the present challenges in three to four years from now or we will continue to grope in the dark forever.
@@rotimikayode1072 , stop your gaslighting. The result is obvious to everyone in Nigeria ! - how much do you buy food and things in Nigeria now ? How much are you paid by APC politicians; or you are waiting for your turn in the “ looting and bad governance “ ?
@@rotimikayode1072 ; Which political party was in power for the last 9 yrs- wasn’t it APC ? And , your “ strategist Asiwaju “ and his Tinubu boys were all active in and out of the APC government; to advice and control, at least their States in SW, but do they do it ? Some comments expose shallowness and “defending the indefensible ! “ .
@@adetunde6652 You are talking out of bitterness, not out of reasoning. Is Tinubu the same person as Buhari. When has political party ever matter in Nigeria.
It would be helpful if the government stops breaking down buildings, as all the property destructions that has taken place in the last few months does not encourage people to invest in Nigeria 😢
Ramp up oil production Implement the PIA and clean up the oil and gas sector Focus on improving agricultural production Reform property rights Subsidise import on productive inputs Cut government costs Reform and harmonize the taxation system. Clean up the process of public procurement. Implement the hourly work rates, review wages and workers rights. Reform the housing and property mortgage. Declare state of emergency in security, and power sector Institute the process of governance and constitutional reform by improving on the template from the National confab held by Jonathan's administration
There is an iceberg in front of the Nigerian government ship, but the captain is lying there no iceberg, this is going to be a titanic for the Nigerian economy in 2024 towards 2025, God help this country.
CBN under Cardoso saying investors are trooping in to Nigeria to invest is an unscrupulous statement! Then he also came out to Saying he is taking the orthodox approach is denigrating because we have stayed with the prevalent sentiment in economic growth and it’s taking us nowhere… Let’s make Nigeria productive, simple 👌
IMF advise will never Help Nigeria Economy. Tinubu listening to IMF is like shooting himself on the foot… Nigeria Must Produce it Own Products or will Receive Economic Failure 😞 .
Rufai is right,no productivity no life line, the APC hasn't the capability to pursue production,APC reminds me of the Republican party of the United States who don't have the gut of creating environments to foster pure productivity that will result to good economy.
I think the governor is on the right path in terms of stability the Naira and the media brief cos it installs confidence and it is a good thing to know that they are indeed doing something about the situation. But what I don't understand is if the Naira is stabilized as the governor has said, is he also saying that the true value of the Naira at this time is what the market price is? I don't agree with that because Nigeria has huge amounts of US dollars in Idle hands or accounts that's not creating value for the economy 😂😂😂
Africa doesn't need economics. Economics is resource management issue. A self sufficient super system like Africa has wealth, thus Shud be focused on wealth management. The need to work to their resources, the Forex will fix itself. CBN is asked to overdo. The are are under services, and no system work on services. Services are derivatives. The are derived from product/production. On summary, The Capital side of Nigeria should be fixed, then the Monetary will fix itself.
Tinubu and all these so called educated illiterates nonsense can not do anything for Nigeria. Tinubu is flying around begging for investors but the investors at home are running away. Does that make sense he has not fix his home where there are potential for greatness he is going about begging. Tinubu and his cohorts are ordering SUVs from Japan when we have innoson motors there are many small businesses that can be supported to grow big. They are busy tribalising everything. Tinubu should go home and rest he already has the title president it's clear he has nothing to offer Nigeria
AriseNews and GoodNews Title is like a BAD Marriage. This is a good beginning. Enforcement is the key in Nigeria...the people are the problem filled with greed. You blame the Govt all the time...all the things you spoke to Mr Rufai is what the Govt is doing. The issue here is communication. Maybe some countries want to export our Petroleum products from South South which could be why they are building the coastal highway. Electricity is on track according to the Minister 18-24 months timeline. Leave the STUDIO and visit all these Govt programs, so you can see what the Govt is doing LOL.
I agree with you when it has to do with the people been greedy but the government has a major role to play, if not 80% hence the blame keeps going to the government. As for the coastal road, you are just assuming, and here we deal with concrete facts. Finally I don't know who told you electricity is on track sir. You can as well visit those offices and tell us what the government is doing.
If Tinubu would have channel this 15 trillion for so called costal highway of 8 years to costant electricity for 8year, it will be a remarkable turnaround for our economy. Look at the case today, yourbas prefer this costal road to constant electricity. We are watching them as dollar is rising 😂😂
Cardoso is saying the truth. More than $40Billion worth of investments have poured into Nigeria already since Tinubu removed the subsidies. What we need now is to persevere and support the reforms which will result in tremendous gains for the country in three to four years from now.
Eke mbeke soro, iro nparo fun iro. Wind don blow; we don see the yansh of the fowl ! Naira 1,500 to the dollar ! Naira 1,900 to £1, - is that good economic policy , after 1 year of the government ?
I believe you. That is why Pfizer left. That is why Sanofi left. That is why lots of business folded. That is why I pass my neighbour is #140k. That is why one egg is #200. That is why I have no electricitydepite being in band A. That is why.....I hope you believe yourself.
@@knd-z3 Pfizer did not leave because of the present political dispensation. Pfizer had taken their decision to leave long before Tinubu came on board.
CBN and Tinubu administration think that IMF directives are like a magic wand. They think their advice are golden. They better check themselves before IMF wrecks them to a point of no return
Ruben talking about the central bank governor acting as a celebrity . He should know that America is about to elect Donald trump for the second time as their president.
You're right. But i think the pith of the matter is this: For over 25 years, we've been too focused on fx rate and politicians do all to defend it even at the expense of bleeding our reserves. More focus and attention needs to shift to the fiscal side...taxes, infrastructure, tarrifs, imports controls, etc. The rate will naturally improve when we produce. Every tom, Dick and Harry is laser focused on the exchange rate. A poor culture.
Why the kudos to the governor of cbn? The fixing of dollars should not be valued by the words of the cbn but the poor of masses who buy their dollars to keep business going from the black market and not the dangotes, who buys dollars directly from the cbn, even at rate below because of their political connection which is not hidden from the public. What is the outcome of recently invasion of dangotes headquarters in lagos? Has it been discussed with pizza and thrown under the table? We're to be the none perform, the power of the efcc, will by now still in high of Abuja, coming prison without bail
